When we started letting out my wife's new flat our concern was to have good tenants who would look after it and an agent who would take all the hassle off our hands. Now that we have the flat back for our own use we can reflect on our experience. The team at Alexander found 2 tenants over 3+ years and took care of literally everything. We did our bit and got any niggles sorted quickly and our tenants handed back a near perfect property. Rude, arrogant and obnoxious lettings team - avoid!!

I have called the Aylesbury lettings team 3 teams over the last 6 months to enquire about properties for rent. Possibly the most obnoxious and rude people I've every spoken to. Talk to you like you are the dirt from the bottom of their shoe. Not sure if it's always the same girl but they really do need to learn what "customer service" means. Their landlords may be their clients, but tenants pay their wages!

Poor after sale

In the beginning when they are finding properties for you this estate agents will behave so professional and act promptly however do not be deceived soon as you will have a problem with the property such as mould they will play the blaming game and act indenial. The estate agents will not care the health risk it posses and will brush everything under the carpet. I have raised a complaint since April 2024 and still the issue is not resolved. So when it comes to taking the deposit, essential first steps of getting the property they will behave so nice, then you will see the true service. Don't be fooled by the reviews they gather in the beginning when they find you the property. Think about it how is it someone has so many five stars 🌟 ratings.

Our property was rented out for a few years whilst we were abroad which Ann-Marie at Alexander & Co managed for us during this period. We were particularly impressed with her helpful and speedy responses to any queries, where the majority was dealt with professionally and efficiently to reduce any concerns we may have, especially considering we had time differences as an obstacle. Please research other tenants similar complaints on their Facebook page including our own story. 5 * reviews are not from tenants. Excellent service received from Frida at Alexander & Co Aylesbury Property Management. As a landlord now living too far away to manage my property, having an agent that I trust to manage the complete letting experience has been invaluable. Although the whole team are approachable and professional when dealing with my calls or emails, it is Frida that really impresses. Keeping me informed of ever changing legal requirements and communicating in a clear, friendly manner with speedy replies have ensured that I am best placed to make informed decisions concerning my property. Our experience with Alexander & Co was genuinely second to none. We’d been house hunting for a few weeks with no success, viewing boring properties, shown around by bored letting agents. Then in our first viewing with Alexander & Co, Lara showed us around a property in Fairfield Leys, and although the property wasn’t quite what we were looking for, Lara was incredibly attentive and took the time to get to know us as renters, establishing our needs, wants, habits, budget and dislikes. Before we had even left the original property she had a better idea of what we were looking for than we did and promptly showed us around another flat. It had everything we needed at a great price, with minimal drawbacks. If you want to look around houses, you can go anywhere, but if you need a bit more help and a genuine personalised service I can not recommend Lara and Alexander & Co highly enough.

I have dealt with Matt (Terrell) on a number of occasions - I bought my first house from him, he sold that same house for me, and now I will be looking to sell again with him. Have been using this Letting Agency since they were Hartwells. I chose them specifically as they had good reviews and a good reputation from all the other Letting Agents in Aylesbury. (Some friends who were landlords warned me that some agents were "All for the tenant" and not helpful to the Landlord at all). I can honestly say, A&Co (and formerly Hartwells) have been very supportive to me as the Landlord since the very beginning. As a first time landlord back in 2015, they were very helpful in explaining everything I needed to have in place, and my first 2 years as a Landlord went like a dream. When my second tenant moved in, it had to be a very quick turnaround and they were very good at getting things done so I didn't lose out on rental income for long. When Hartwells became Alexander & Co, it was a relatively smooth transition. My only gripe soon after was that there were a few communication issues, which so happened to fall when it was the tenancy renewal period. This was partly owing to my account handler suddenly leaving and someone else being on leave. I felt things could have been handled a bit better and was able to have a discussion about this with A&Co. Once my new account manager (Amy C) was established, she has been excellent in resolving issues where they've cropped up and offered advice and support to my endless questions! I do appreciate having A&Co as my Letting Agents as I am not local to my rental property, and we now have a good system going should any issues arise. They have also been very clear when legalities and law changes happen as that side of things overwhelms me in trying to keep up! I would highly recommend them!

When looking for our new home we could not have been any luckier than with Alexander & Co. Lara was our host, and let me tell you, that lady knows exactly what we needed not what we asked for. She was absolutely superb, neatly side-stepping the problem houses, and taking us to absolutely not what we asked for but exactly what we needed. Lara's skills saved us money and found us a wonderful home. I could not recommend her enough. I would never normally leave a review but I am leaving one today due to Lara's impeccable service. This is even without any pressure from Lara or Alexander & Co. Exceptional customer service, if only I could leave six stars!

I recently bought a property through Alexander & Co and Matt Wood and his team has provided an exceptional service, right from the viewing with Hannah to negotiating with Sharon and Matt seeing it through to the end. He has good contacts in the industry and can be called for if needed. He ensured all parties in the chain were communicated with efficiently and immensely helped to ensure the vendor got the completion date they needed. I would highly recommend Matt and his team to all my family and friends. We have just picked the keys up for our first property. We tried a lot of the agents in Aylesbury and I have to say that from the start that Alexander and co where great. They contacted us very efficiently when a property came on the market, unlike some of the agents we registered with. Within 2 weeks we have secured the property and had the mortgage in place. I would really like to thank Angela in sales progression as she was amazing. She was so happy for us and she progressed things through very quickly. We have just picked up the keys and they included a goody bag with cleaning bits and pieces and a signed card from all the staff in the department.
