Couldn’t of chose a better company to let out our property! Very professional! Emily dealt with our rental and she was lovely kept us up to date with everything and dealt with everything very professionally, as well as friendly! Tom also who helped out fab customer service. Again very friendly and professional!! I felt at ease with Emily handling our first ever home to rent out! She’s great, her team are great Thank you em x

1 star is being kind. A vile estate agents. Not sure how landlords and seller give these lot business. I’ve been trying to enquire for various properties for weeks and months to no avail. I even popped into the branch to see why I was being ignored when I even tried ringing. A person below said they so pushy on using their own brokers and if you decline they don’t go with you when it comes to accepting your offer. This is so true and I personally witnessed this. Diabolical of a business. I would stay well clear of these guys. All they love doing is taking your details down so they can build their silly portfolio.

After sales department is disgusting! Have been told that I shouldn’t expect them to complete anything quicker than 4-6 months. In their emails they use the expression, ‘we are working on this ASAP’. Today I have been told ASAP means, when they can. So fed up!!! Should have been able to complete in time for the changes in stamp duty but they have admitted to not starting any work on the file, losing paperwork and being too busy to accommodate the work they have. Our sale is not part of a chain, searches are complete. It should be simple. Cannot stress how much I regret using Burchell Edwards.

As a tenant we had a very bad experience from when we were given notice to trying to obtain our deposit, which they held on to until as long as they could. We were given plenty of notice, which was fine. But we received threatening emails saying we had not responded to the notice and would be passed on to the courts to action. We had to make sure everything was documented.When we did move out, we had to chase up to find out when we would get the deposit. Only to receive photos of damages they claim we had made, even though these were highlighted on the original inventory report.They wanted to argue with me even though we have signed the original inventory report and the landlord are obtaining quotes to deduct from the deposit.I contacted the TDS and they had until 20th April to put the claim in, which was over a month after we moved out.Burchell Edwards responded on the final day, saying the landlord isn't putting a claim in and we would have the full deposit refunded. So you would think we would get it back in our bank within 2 days,Instead we got paid 7 days later!When we had to pay anything to them it has to be there and then on that day.If we are late paying them then they can charge us silly money. So I wonder if they would accept my charges for their delay in paying me????You have to realise these are part of Ashley Adams, who we originally went through when looking for the rented property. The staff we dealt with didn't have a clue at the beginning, in fact they were that bad we thought it was funny. Just make sure you take plenty of photos and confirm everything even after the inventory report. And make sure you cover everything no matter how tiny it is or obvious!

GoogleCharlie... what can I say other than this woman is incredible. We are first time buyers and did not initially plan to use a mortgage broker but I cannot recommend her enough! She has gone through everything with a fine toothed comb and really explained everything thoroughly, she gives amazing advice. We were so worried in the beginning as many companies use all the formal lingo which as a first time buyer you dont understand what it means or you feel they are all about pushing the sales including our own bank. Not once have we ever felt this way with Charlie and we have called her numerous times for answers to questions and she has gone above and beyond to help us in anyway she can. Please guys go and see Charlie she is honestly fantastic and so professional but supportive!!

GoogleI haven’t yet completed the purchase of the property but would just like to comment on the quality and hard work of there mortgage advisor/broker Charlie Howe especially through these hard times. She has done the best job to her potential so far even with the circumstances of working from home, and would recommend her for any property purchases from other people (first time buyers or not) in the on coming future! Also a comment on the staff at Burchell Edwards, every one of them helped to find the right property for myself between them and all of there staff always seem to have a smile on there face and also take the time to have a friendly chat which is always nice and would definitely use them in my future to come!

Never work with these!!!! They took rent money from my account when I wasn’t even on the tenancy agreement. And cancelled it 1 month prior. When I phone Burchell Edwards to inform them about their mistake they said they will reimburse me my money in 2 working days. Two days no money. Phoned again another 2 days . No money!! This went on for 3 weeks of telling me lies and wasting my time. This is not the time to have a big lump of money missing from my account. Very poorly run, communication zero!! Avoid at all cost !!!!!!!!

Rubbish company, rubbish service.They didn't pass on feedback from my tenants about repairs that needed fixing, they let the tenancy lapse onto a rolling 30 days agreement without letting me know. They sent me letters saying that my rent was late for multiple months, so i contacted the tenants myself to find out what was going on because Burchall Edwards werent doing anything about it to find that the tenants had been paying on time and it was Burchall Edwards that werent finding the funds and then sending them on to me. To top it off when i decided to transfer the management of my property to another agent it came out that my tenants werent even living in te country, never mind the property. their cousin and his wife was, Burchall edwards had been to the property and met them twice aswell as them going into a branch and nothing was ever said to me. when i raised it and told them of my disgust and request for a refund of fees paid, they offered me £350 and didnt address all of the issues i had raixsed, when i rejected them, they got a legal represetative to draft me a response offering £500, spouting a load of jargon with addressing their short comings. i would urge any landlord to stay clear. All of their management is done out of an office near warrington, they have no idea what is actually going on with your property

I work in a noisy environment and am often away from my desk. Consequently I asked Burchell Edwards to only use email to contact me, not the phone. For a fortnight, they ignored this request, bombarding me with voice mails, despite repeated email reminders never acknowledging any of the emails either. Then they did begin sending emails with details of properties, but never with any details of bungalows, which I had already told them was the only type of property I was interested in. Again, I emailed them several times reminding them of this, but again, no acknowledgement or change in their behaviour. They sent me details of multi-storied properties, flat and apartments and even a shop! None of their emails had an unsubscribe button either.

Recently moved In to our rented property before we said we are not moving in untill the kitchen, back bedroom and main bedroom was painted white as they was bright blue and purple they agreed. We wanted to move in before Christmas also they turned around and said wait till after the house is having a deep clean. We finally moved in there was no painting done and the house looked/smelt like it has not been cleaned in over 6 year was disgusting. I think communication from the agent and landlord needs to be better!

YET ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR SIGNATURE ON THE DOCUMENTS THE FUN STARTS....YOU WILL BE CONSTANTLY CHASING THEM FOR UPDATES, WE FOUND THE SERVICE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, WE WERE LIED TO ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS WERE ALLOWED TO VIEW OUR PROPERTY, WHO WERE NOT IN A FINANCIAL POSITION TO BUY. THEY WERE EVEN ALLOWED SECOND VIEWING.HIGH PRESSURED SALES, CONSTANTLY TRYING TO PUSH FOR US TO GO WITH THEIR FINANCIAL ADVISER SERVICE FOR OUR MORTGAGE. THEY COMPLETELY STRESSED US OUT, WE HAD TO CHASE THEM FOR UPDATES ON VIEWINGS, IF WE CALLED THEM THEY NEVER RETURNED OUR CALLS. THEY NEVER EVEN INFORMED US WHEN THEY HAD RECEIVED AN OFFER FROM A PROSPECTIVE BUYER. WE PAID FOR A SERVICE WE CERTAINLY DID NOT RECEIVE... MY ADVICE TO YOU IS SHOP AROUND, THEY DEFINITELY DO NOT GO THE EXTRA MILE......

GoogleI cannot express how grateful I am to the staff at Burchell Edwards Hucknall, specifically their mortgage broker. Everywhere I went, people told me that I couldn’t get a mortgage, except for her. She used her company’s resources to speak to every lender and found me a high street lender who agreed to give me a great rate! I know many other mortgage brokers who spoke to the same lender and they said no, but not her. It is a long ongoing process with offers being accepted and houses being taken off the market, but through it all she has given me excellent support and I am so glad I chose them to help me become a homeowner. I would recommend Burchell Edwards to anyone, but especially their mortgage broker for excellent mortgage advice who goes beyond every single time.

Just want you money and will lie if need be. We were charged £150 for photos (no other estate agent charges for photos to be done ) but we were told if we sold through them it would be refunded! Lies!!! Also no estate agents to do viewings as all too busy (not sure what service I paid for) very disappointing! These are just a couple of issues I had with the sheldon branch! Avoid.

Booked me in for a viewing and then got harassed by their mortgage broker to come in for a meeting. I refused politely as i already had an AIP but they wouldn't take no for an answer. Consequently they cancelled the viewing and haven't allowed me to view another property since. Luckily i purchased another property from a different estate agent but having spoken to several people and agents about my experience, this apparently in addition to lieing about false offers is common practice amongst many estate agents. Please government, put in some legislation to police these agents.
