Great Experience!

Really great experience of buying and selling, the only stressful parts were to do with other people's solicitors! Esther and Bailey were brilliant when it came to the sale of our house and we couldn't believe how quickly it actually sold, plus Joe was lovely who came over and talked us through prices we could expect, how to dress our house for the photos, things to get done beforehand, etc. Melissa as the estate agent managing our purchase/sale has been fantastic, has really pushed to get things moving when they've been stagnant and has always been working behind the scenes even when we weren't actively pushing or chasing things - it was great to feel that you had someone working with you to get things moving! Would definitely really recommend HC.

Great Experience!

We really liked working with Melissa Denton and the whole team at Holden Copley. We recently moved to the UK from the US and had never bought a home in the UK before so Melissa and her team helped us navigate the real estate system here which is very different than what we are used to in the United States. Brilliant. My mum died in August 2022 and we put her house up for sale just at the time Liz Truss took over as prime minister and nobody could get mortgages. We had several sales fall through and all sorts of annoying problems to deal with, none of which were caused by Holden Copley. I dealt with Melissa Denton through this entire frustrating process and she kept her nerve and patience and saw it through to the end nearly sixteen months after the place first went on sale. Always cheerful, very proactive, excellent chaser-upper of solicitors etc. Really couldn't ask for anything or anyone better I am about to get them to sell another property for me and crossing fingers this one doesn't take so long. I'm not new to this, I've been a landlord over twenty five years and have dealt with loads of estate agents. This one, and this woman, are the best of the bunch. Highly commended and recommended. Proactive and responsive Estate Agents

Jordan, Josie, Sheryl and all the team were great with the sale of our house. They responded quickly to our enquiry to put our property on the market and took great photos of our property. They marketed our property on their website and Rightmove and we had several viewings booked within the first few days! Josie was our Sales Progressor and was supported by Sheryl when Josie was on annual leave. They have both been brilliant in keeping us updated and always at the end of the phone when we had queries. I have had an amazing experience with Holden Copley this past week. Upon my arrival at the property, I was greeted by a welcoming Accompanied Viewer Agent, Nicolas Cohen, who was on time and available to stay longer than the allotted time to show us around the property thoroughly and answer the long list of questions we had prepared with the utmost patience and consideration. Nicolas was very helpful and informative with his answers and was able to signpost us in the direction of the team for further technical questions about the offer-making and exchange process. Followed up with a call immediately after the viewing to providers with extra details of the process. I was able to easily speak with the Senior Sales Negotiator, Esta Dunn, in person in the office, where I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Three days later we have managed to get our offer accepted and have been shown how the process will unfold from here on out-very reassuring! I am so pleased with this experience and it makes for a very promising future.

With plans to be off my feet due to surgery in the coming weeks, trying to find a suitable rental in December based on my specific circumstances was always going to be a struggle. I spotted a good property on Rightmove marketed by Holden Copley - reaching out via Rightmove yielded zero response. Shortly after, another very similar property came on the market (by the same landlord) - again reaching out via Rightmove yielded no response (it ended up going to “let agreed” before then going back on the market around a week later where it still currently sits at time of this review). I finally spotted a third, more expensive property (again by the same landlord) and this time emailed and called Holden Copley directly. I went through (very honestly) my situation, highlighted that I had no debt, an impeccable credit score, and I could easily manage the rent, put in place a guarantor, and even pay multiple months upfront if the property was suitable. A viewing followed, the property was perfect, and the agent was incredibly polite and professional. I put in a cheeky offer (a little under the asking price) given the property had already been on the market for some time and had had the price reduced around a month prior. A few days of silence later, I phoned the Arnold branch to be told that my offer had been rejected due to the offer and my circumstances (nice of them to be proactive and let me know). I immediately upped my offer to the asking price whilst highlighting I was willing to put in place whatever was needed (as I’d said from the very beginning) to ensure the financial obligation was covered. Again no response, so I chased up yet again a few days later to be told the landlord wasn’t interested. I appreciate the rental market moves quickly, but it takes all of 60 seconds to fire off an email to a potential tenant telling them their offer has been rejected (and why). Whether it’s poor internal processes at Holden Copley, or simply not knowing or understanding what their own letting clients are looking for in a potential tenant, the entire experience was a frustrating waste of my time. If you’re looking for a professional, polite, time-wasting letting agent - the Arnold branch of Holden Copley is the perfect choice.
