I am a landlord and my HMO house management was transferred to Thornley Groves last year. My experience with them is very poor. They are over worked and do not respond to your messages/calls. The work they do is substandard (for example, I had a checkout inspection done by someone which was very poor). After complaining, I had a better one done. Now it has been 18 days with nothing else done to the house. No quotes, no repairs, no cleaning. I keep getting different information from different ppl. Now I am trying to call them as it is an important 1 month time for property work and there is absolutely no answer from them. Very poor treatment to Landlords. Now, I am considering my options with another agency. Save your time, money and hassle and do not get involved with Thornley Groves.

Genuinely the worst lettings agents I’ve had the displeasure of working with. Employed a private contractor who carried out in-authorised work on the property. Complaint raised on the 1st April and still no resolution or regular communication to resolve. Unprofessional, no accountability, lazy communication and poor customer service. All landlords need to stay away.

My housemates and I were accused of owing more rent than we did, and spent 6 weeks chasing Thornley Groves up in order to correct their mistake. I'm told they've been dealing many properties but do not seem have enough staff to deal with these issues.

Awful company can claim to fully manage your property yet they will never inspect it once during the years tenants occupy it. All they are interested in is their commission and ripping you off with ludicrous mark up on repairs.AVOID!

Shambolic. As a landlord, I had to chase for checks to be completed, invoices were confusing with too many mistakes, services paid for (such as new EPCs) not delivered, and 6 months after sacking them they are still holding the tenant's deposit!! Look elsewhere for someone to manage your property.
