Good at finding tenants but communication isn't great.

I've been using Thornley Groves for the past few years to manage my property. Whilst they have been able to find new tenants every year, the communication with the Property Manager hasn't been easy when there have been issues to resolve. The checkout team also didn't do a proper inventory one year which led to me being unable to claim on the deposit for a broken bed.

My interaction with Thornley Groves has been smooth. Managed to secure a booking for a viewing relatively quickly, despite a challenging market for a buyer. Arrived at the house 10 minutes early and since Kelly was already there in a marked vehicle, she allowed the viewing to start straight away. Kelly was very friendly and personable, would recommend.

AVOID- Terrible Buy to Let Agent

The worst Estate Agent I have had the displeasure to use as a Letting Agent. Disorganised, dishonest, inept, apathetic and useless. I could go on. On multiple occasions I had to ask the agent to chase for outstanding monies from tenants, to ensure check outs were done correctly and to generally do their administration as I was paying them for. They have a high level of staff turnover so you are always speaking to someone else.Their contractors for repairs are exorbitant- and are never challenged. I was quoted £5000 to change a bathroom door- i got it done for £1800 in the end. I was charged £300 to clean carpets in 2 bedrooms and hall and stairs. Do not use!!! There are plenty of better ways to throw your money down the drain.
