Charters:Andy Jerram and Sophie Pickering - I had a great experience with Charters as I called today and spoke to Andy, who was very helpful and understood my situation in finding a rental property with short notice. He was proactive and worked diligently with his colleague, Sophie, who showed me the property on the same day and she was very knowledgeable and helpful as well. I called Andy afterwards to put in my offer and he sent me the form and confirmed his receipt of this after I completed and returned it to him. I'm very grateful for these 2 hardworking and friendly agents to help me secure the rental properly. Hoping that I get it now! *fingers crossed*

Jo Goddard Sales Progressor

My mother was selling her house and as her daughter it was me responsibility to deal with estate agents, solicitors and sales progressors. The process took over 7 months. All the people at Charters Estate Agents were very professional and helpful at all times. However the most outstanding support and help came from Jo Goddard the sales progressor. Throughout the whole time she was always there answering any questions, she called me every week for an update and to check if I was okay. Always knew she was there and made what was a very stressful experience much much easier

We were very impressed with this estate agency due to the very personable and helpful anssistance offered by Tilly the consultant. She proved to be very friendly and able to provide accurate information about some of the properties we wished to view. Was very understanding when we needed to rearrange an appointment at short notice due to traffic problems. A big thank you to Simon Edser and Charters. I have know “Mr Chilworth “ as Simon is known locally for 35 years since he helped me look for a home in the area. Over the years he’s always been exceptionally professional in every aspect, never getting frustrated if what he presented wasn’t quite my ideal. I am indebted to him as he presented to me an opportunity to buy off plan one of the finest houses in Chilworth way before any other agent had a sniff of the opportunity and whilst it was still just a tree filled plot. I went into contract and despite the long wait of 18 months I have indeed achieved ownership of one of the finest Chilworth homes. Thank you Simon your local knowledge and contacts are unique and have brought me my special home.

Above and beyond customer care

Although we did not have the smoothest of journeys with our house sale, Edward and the team were fantastic the whole time. Incredibly patient, answering all queries and bringing me back down when I was overwhelmed with the general stress of selling & buying post divorce. When we lost our first buyer, the team were on it so incredibly quickly to find a new one so that I did not loose my onward purchase. Always a friendly person at the end of the phone, and went out of their way to help. I came to Charters after a disappointing service from another agent and I absolutely would not think twice about using them again should the need arise. I just wish I used them in the first place. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the whole team for getting us where we are today. Now for the next chapter!

Sarah Bainbridge is a lifesaver!

Sarah Bainbridge of Charters Estate Agents was a lifesaver! As a foreign academic researcher who needed to live in England for the school year, it was proving quite difficult to find housing and a landlord who would accept a 10 month lease, if possible. Most wanted all of the 10 months of rent up front, or 12 months of rent and no exceptions. Sarah communicated frequently with me, and when she heard about a situation that could meet my needs, she reached out and made it happen. Most other letting agencies just said, "good luck; the market is tough." Her staff have continued to help me jump through the many hoops to satisfy government requirements, share codes, and the like, and they did not insist on all 10 months of rent up front. Been with this agency from 2020 up until a few weeks ago. They started out as pure move and I’ve had nothing but excellent services from them, especially Peter, who goes above and beyond to resolve any issues may they arise. Both friendly and professional and I’ve never had any problems the whole 4 years I’ve rented from this agency. Would highly recommend this company to anyone. Very fair, understanding and trustworthy. We have just exchanged contracts on our house move where we bought a property advertised for sale by Charters and were impressed throughout with the service we received as buyers.Cameron showed us a series of properties and took the time to really understand what we were looking for. We missed out on the first property we made an offer on but he showed great determination to find an alternative that would meet our needs and made a detailed pitch to get us to look at a property we had overlooked before. His insight on what we could achieve with this property played a key role in us ultimately making an offer which was accepted.Once we had agreed a purchase we were handed over to Stephen Henry in sales progression. A great experience :)

I had looked at many houses and dealt with many agents in my quest to find the right house. From the moment I enquired about one of Charters properties, Sarah was not only extremely efficient, professional and communicative but also really friendly and approachable and that’s important. She didn’t rush me through my viewing, was keen to make sure I’d asked all my questions, had all the information and didn’t try at all to pressurise me to make a decision. Nothing was too much trouble, videos were sent over quickly, I was kept informed and when Sarah wasn’t available, Gary was also great which shows they’re a good team. Selling a house as an executor of a will

Charters were employed to sell my late mother’s house. They were professional in their initial dealings and the quality of the brochure was first class.Once a buyer was found I was moved to a team within Charters who helped manage the final process, and it was here I was dealt with by a lady called Lisa Roberts who managed the process professionally and competently. I experienced some issues with both sets of solicitors but Lisa went beyond the expected to resolve these problems and finally get the sale completed.It was this service of keeping me informed, cheerful and always phoning back when she said she would that impressed me most.

It’s has been a breath of fresh air dealing with Charters in Alton and Farnham. Sarah at the Alton branch has a great and friendly personality and will go out of her way to help you. I was put in touch with Kirstie Stone in the lettings department at Farnham and she has been extremely helpful in keeping me up to date with properties at all times as well as arranging a viewing. Due to Kirstie being on annual leave, I then dealt with Jacqui McKeown who organised a viewing at the property I have decided to apply for. End of Tenancy Manager is Saving Grace

We had a somewhat tumultuous last tenancy, mostly down to our landlord, and were so very glad to be able to draw it to a close.However, not wholly unexpectedly, the landlord became challenging during the end of tenancy process.Madelein, Charters' End of Tenancy Manager, was on hand to provide sage advice, guidance and a great deal of empathy; all things that are often lacking, when you are a tenant.Madelein was able to support negotiating a mutually acceptable set of liabilities, and arrange a refund of our deposit.We were so grateful for Madelein, and being able to put a positive end to something that had been much less so, up to this point.
