I recently renewed my rental agreement through Bourne Estate Agent in Alton and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From the moment I contacted them, they were professional, responsive and went above and beyond to help with all my requests. They answered all of my questions promptly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. A huge thanks to Louise as I dealt with her most of the time throughout last year, but other members of staff were very helpful too. Andrew and his team enabled us to complete on the sale of my mother-in-law's bungalow in Alton. From the start, Andrew was very enthusiastic about the property and its location and this was a primary factor in appointing Bourne, as other estate agents were also very interested but maybe not quite as excited at the prospect. The professional advice that he offered surprised us but he turned out to be 100% right: the bungalow was sold to a family who fell in love with the plot rather than the developer we had imagined would buy it. This was an unexpected - but considerably better - outcome and we are grateful to Bourne for enabling it. Andrew, Gemma and team were very responsive to all of our calls and emails throughout the sale process and proved to be effective conduits between the buyers and ourselves, on the tiny matters as well as the huge. We would be very happy to recommend Bourne in Alton. Thank you to Andrew and everyone for partnering with us throughout the process.

Blown away by the level of hard work provided by Bourne (with special thanks to Phoebe) during our house sale. From the start they were absolutely brilliant, with lots of viewings booked in and getting helpful feedback after each. After accepting an offer we were kept well informed and given guidance where needed (our first time selling a property). Towards the end, when the transaction became quite stressful, the support to myself and the work put in by Phoebe was amazing. I’m sure that without her, it still wouldn’t have gone through. We are disappointed from the service received, as after moving in we find out that the heating and the electric shower were not checked and they are not working properly, and the shower needs replacement. Very unpleasant to move in and not being able to have a shower. We found also mold around the windows and doors, and washing machine to clean deeply. Not to mention how dirty the flat was left. Luckily, the landlord welcomed us in a nice way, with some effort to clean around for us. Another thing we would mention is the fact we communicated with few agents, almost every step from the application process was completed by a different person and we were waiting until the very last day before the moving day to receive a contract and make a payment, keeping us worried if everything goes alright. This is quite stressful, considering the fact you have to move out from another flat, but have not confirmed exactly when you’ll be able physically to relocate. Overall, I would recommend to the agency detailed checks in properties before moving in, and transparency about all details, and detailed viewing if possible for the potential tenants, to avoid disappointments. Considering individual agents’s service, Sam was very helpful and nice to us. We met him in the office and we can say he did his job great.

We recently hired Bourne to sell our home for two months, and during that time, we received zero viewings. The listing photos were extremely poor quality, clearly taken in ten minutes, resulting in dark and unflattering images. This was in stark contrast to our previous experience with another agency, who used professional photography and generated significant interest. Our concerns about the photo quality, raised via email, were completely ignored. This lack of professionalism and attention to detail cost us valuable time and potential buyers. We have since switched to a new agency and are already seeing a significant increase in interest and viewings. We strongly advise against using Bourne if you want a timely and effective sale.
