Made a phone call to the Hook branch to enquire about purchasing a house that I had viewed which sadly was under offer but that is not the issue. The following brusque sentence "So, what was your call regarding because I am with someone else", delivered in a tone as if to say you are wasting my time, go away. I apologised for intruding and said goodbye. Probably just a bad day I guess. Still as mentioned, a good job there are other estate agents in Hook!

We had many problems with the sale of our house but Steve Panther of Mackenzie Smith found solutions to every one and enabled us to succeed in purchasing the house we really wanted in Somerset. At times we thought we were going to lose everything because the sellers of the house we wanted were threatening to pull out but Steve successfully chased up all the people involved and succeeded in helping us complete our sale and purchase. All the staff at Mackenzie Smith were extremely helpful and professional.

To be honest MS didn't have to do anything to sell my house. In fact they never even put it on the market. They took the marketing photos, which actually never got used as they brought a buyer in prior to it going on the market, who offered full asking price. Very fortunate. They did use the main house marketing photo in their shop window, even after it was under offer, as it did look good.I only received two calls whilst the sale was progressing, and as far as I'm concerned, they earnt their money very easily. They didn't, as far as I'm aware, have to do anything once they'd introduced the family who bought the property. I'm sure had they needed to do anything they would, but there was no need. I did try to renegotiate my selling fee in view of this but this was unsuccessful.

We knew our budget, knew the area we wanted to buy in and after my first viewing knew that we would buy a house through Mackenzie Smith in Hartley Wintney.
I viewed at least half a dozen properties with MS and each time I never felt rushed, pushed or coerced into liking a property.
I felt the agent was patient with us and I always felt I could be open and honest about the property viewed.
The agent was flexible and accommodating with viewings, even arranging an early, before working hours one to accommodate our day.
Post sale, they have been most helpful with providing me local information and advice.

I recently bought a house with the intention of letting it out straight away and Mackenzie Smith was the only letting agent that actually approached me to offer a letting service while house hunting even though all the other agents knew that I was buying to let. The day after completion of my house purchase I met Jayne at the Fleet branch, she visited the house a few hours later to take photos and it was advertised the next day. Within a couple of days she had found some suitable tenants and warned me off the unsuitable ones and the tenants moved in within 3 weeks of me buying the house.
