Fab Flat but Short Lease

The property I was selling was a great home in an excellent location and well maintained hower it was a leasehold with short lease. My agent, Pedro Barros was undeterred and was confident he could sell the place for me.. and he did. The process was somewhat longer than it needed to be considering it was a cash purchase and there was no chain however Pedro persevered and was at the end of the phone for me at all times. He and the team at your Yateley branch were always cheerful and professional at all times and were able to keep me updated on the progress when I rang. Well done all !

With having to change solicitors and then having a less than average 2nd firm, I was very dependant on both my estate agents and those from whom I was buying property, Mackenzie Smith (Farnborough). Steve was always courteous, kept me informed (by email, phone and personally). Prompt and courteous in answering queries and alwaysgiving me confidence to move forward in the next stage of proceedings without feeling that my question was unnecessary. Highly recommend Mackenzie Smith for finding rental property

Andrew Travers and his team at Mackenzie Smith (Fleet) have been tremendously helpful during a family search to find a suitable rental property to support the relocation of my brother (following my mother's move into a residential home).My brother had been my mother's primary carer for more than 5 years and he was concerned about relocating from Essex to Hampshire to be closer to her new location. Andrew and his team made the search for a suitable property so much easier than we expected; even in challenging times, with far fewer properties available than normal.It has made the challenging tasks of moving Mum into residential care, selling her property in Clacton (Essex), and relocating my brother that much easier to manage. We've been very grateful for their help, guidance and advice throughout the search and rental process.The only reason we have not given 5 stars is because of the company they subcontract certain elements of the administrative side to (Van Mildert). Their online systems were not particularly user-friendly and the Inventory Team's report on the property provided very little time to provide comment and feedback. Andrew Travers stepped in to resolve this and his intervention was prompt and helpful, but Van Mildert's customer service skills/systems fell considerably short of the excellent service we'd received from Mackenzie Smith.We are more than happy to recommend Mackenzie Smith's services to anyone looking for a rental property.

Darren is very personable, honest & reliable from the moment we met him we knew that they were the estate agents we wanted to use. Sale of my first home

Trusting the sale of my first home with Darren was the easiest decision I have ever made. After meeting with several other estate agents I had a gut feeling that Mackenzie Smith were right for me. Definitely the right choice

We spoke to a few estate agents when deciding to put our property on the market and chose Mackenzie Smith (Ash Vale) as gut instinct told us they were the right choice. Our initial meeting (and most of our dealings) were with Darren, although we were also very happy with any interaction we had with Jason and Nick as well. We felt that Darren was realistic and honest with us, rather than saying what we might want to hear to get us on board. Reviews on the way forward came at the right time and we were happy with the advice given. However, where they really came in to their own was when we were approaching exchange of contracts. We were unfortunate in that, whilst only two houses in the chain, there were a string of complications and hold ups with our buyers' house which really prolonged the process. Our buyers had sold through an online agents who, having got their fees up front, were really no use in trying to get us all in a position to exchange and I believe proved almost impossible for anyone to get hold of. Therefore Darren proved invaluable and was the driving force in chasing things up and liaising with everyone he was able to, to keep things moving along, effectively doing the job of both our agent and our buyers' agent. I won't pretend that the experience hasn't proved extremely stressful at times, but I don't want to imagine how much worse it might have been were it not for having a voice of reason at the end of the phone, chasing up the right people when necessary.I am also pretty certain after this experience that we will never choose to use an online agent, having realised that there is so much more to the whole process than just getting a sale agreed! We are very happy with the service Mackenzie Smith (Aldershot) provided to us for our recent sale.Paul Hillyer did a great job in getting a good price for our house in a difficult period to sell. He gave good advice in regards to the valuation in order to move our sale forward and was always a pleasure to deal with, during and after the sale process. Toni Scriven dealt with the after sales and was fantastic throughout. 4.5 stars not available (& never give 5).Mackenzie Smith found themselves with the challenge of my mother being out of action for ~2 months at the end of the sales process so had to communicate through me as a consequence. Purchasing chain of 3 was in place at this point with some having an expectation of faster completion date than could practically be achieved. Also information coming from bottom of purchasing chain potentially lacked credibility in transactional flexibility of CV19 pandemic. Mackenzie Smith challenged the "documentary" chain to move forward when it appeared to be "pausing", and the Chain held together. Thank you Nick.
