Our dealings with James at Wilmslow Branch of Gascoigne Halman was excellent. In particular the communication was both regular and informative as it kept us up to date with developments at all times. James went the extra mile on completion by bringing the keys to us as our move a relocation.

Recently bought a house and dealt with agent Georgia Day who was fabulous from start to finish. No qualms with recommending her and the team at Macclesfied. Overall, it took around 4-5 months and Georgia just kept pushing for us to be moved in by Christmas which finally happened. Thanks, Georgia!

Informed us that the property we were moving out of had been re-let. We then rushed to clear and deep clean the property. Rang several times on the day with no answer to then be told any day before Thursday would be ok. We were then informed by another call 10 minutes later that the property had infact not been re-let. Severe lack of communication therefore making us pay another month rent & bills.

My partner and I were first-time buyers and engaged with Gascoigne a few months ago. I don't know if it was because we were first timers, or if it was just the influence of a poor seller, but we were gazumped and the total lack of professionalism and a pure run around followed. Their team there have left a bitter taste in my mouth and given me a poor view of them. If you're first-time buyers I cannot recommend engaging with the Glossop branch at the very least least. Buying with a nearby competitor we found the experience was far better, with more updates, better information, and an increased amount of respect.

We've just bought a property through Gascoigne Halman and they have been super helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. Tracy Ryan in the Frodsham office has been lovely and always responded to our queries (however bizarre! We have asked a lot of questions haha!) promptly and happily! We never felt like we were too much trouble. Thanks to everyone at Frodsham Gascoigne Halman!

We recently sold and bought a house using the Frodsham office. We met with 3 local estate agents before deciding who to use and we chose Gascgoine Halman Frodsham as they had the most local knowledge and were the easiest branch to get in touch with. As is often the case, the whole house move process was quite lengthy and frustrating. But Tracy in particular helped us out with advice, chasing up solicitors and helping to keep on top of the process. I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon, but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.

To be fair to the Wilmslow office they did everything they said they would do. From an initial market appraisal through to completion the system worked excellently. Peter Higham took on our instruction and was spot on with his advice , James Poppock then ran our sale and was in touch throughout and was polite and efficient and upto speed throughout. The team were all aware with what was going on and and communication was excellent. All sounds a bit cheesy ,but its true. Thank you .

Excellent process with Gascoignes, from initial meet with Markus, market appraisal right down to the wire. Market knowledge and valuation was spot on. Photography clear, perfect contrast and house write up excellent and accurate. Brilliantly managed by Lucy Kershaw throughout with very timely comms and updates. We felt she managed potential buyers very well and helped maintain the integrity of the chain as it developed. Viewings all managed professionally and consistently too. Viewing requests started coming in within an hour or so of being released online. Offers started a few days after viewings and final offer just over a week later. Just excellent team all round! Thank you all.

Extremely poor customer service. No communication and appear to also be quite judgmental towards single parents. I am still waiting for them to call me back but regardless of weather they do or not, i definitely won’t be letting a property through them.

We agreed to have a property viewing in Manchester today 10 Nov at 3PM. I live in Bradford and went to the property by public transport, however I got to the property earlier at 2pm then I decided to give them a call for possibility of early viewing because there is no place to wait in this cold weather and the call went to a voice mail. I left a voice message requesting what would be their answer and I requested a callback, but I never heard any response from them, not until now,not even a phone call. Nothing!I wasn't feeling well today but I still did go all the way from Bradford to the property. Now knowing that they don't even care to call me, I'm very disappointed with their service and how they treated today it's very unprofessional!!!

Excellent experience with Gascoigne Halman who sold our house for us. Highly efficient, communicative and very helpful advice all the way through. I met Markus Jolleys initially for the valuation who took care and time in forming his opinion and explaining the valuation, market, strategy and overall process. I subsequently dealt mostly with James Coppock in the Wilmslow office who was extremely helpful, always available and very responsive, conscientiously tracking progress of all parties throughout the sale process to ensure everything stayed on course for completion. I highly recommend Gascoigne Halman, Markus and James on the basis of my experience.

Told the woman named Susan that I would be a student working in my holidays off uni whilst getting a mortgage. Been lead on to sign a lifetime fee of 600 pound to use there advice for the next 6 month for unlimited advice. Now being told she didn't know I was a student when I have clear evidence on my side I told her. Lawsuit imenent. This firm will lie to get money Out of you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, GO EPSEWHERE.

Everyone tells you how stressful house moving is but for me Gascoigns in Poynton completely took control of then situation for me and totally took the stress out for me! I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’ve bought and sold with lots of different agents over the years and Gascoigns in Poynton are the only agents I’d recommend on and use again. My house move journey has by no means been straight forward either but Jo Owen Nicole and Alison completely took control of the situation for me and even supported me with my onward purchase through a different agent. Jo even contacted me on her days off to support me through the process so it’s no surprise she’s created such a winning team!

Awful service from Gascoigne Halman in Poynton. We were buying a house through them, and were significantly misled over the severity of a flooding incident. We were sent photos that deliberately downplayed the incident, and were also told incorrect information over the phone about which rooms flooded. We were so concerned about the incident and that we did our own research into the local area to find out how bad it was on other roads nearby. We then recieved a phone call from Joanne, the Poynton branch manager, having a go at us for doing our own research, and claiming we should just trust what them and the sellers were telling us. She accused us of questioning their characters. It was highly unprofessional and insulting. When we advised Gascoigne Halman that due to this we couldn't proceed with the purchase, they never even acknowledged the fact, or any of the correspondence we had had. Just never heard from them again. Awful service.
