GoogleDO NOT USE, THEY ARE YOUR TYPICAL ESTATE AGENTS! Johnny and the team at Your Move Duston, unfortunately, are maintaining the bad name that Estate Agents have had over the years about them being underhand and calculated in the way they conduct themselves so they can get their commissions and kick backs from preferred suppliers. In April 2019 they messed us around on a house purchase claiming paperwork wasn't correct and that their in-house mortgage advisor had to speak to us first before agreeing the mortgage whilst he then tried to sell us a 'better mortgage' which we weren't interested in. They tried to force us to use their preferred solicitors as 'it will make the transaction smoother' despite the fact we already had our own who we wanted to use. They lied to us about the reason why the vendors had accepted another offer over a week after agreeing the sale with us...it was only the small matter of being gazzumped by £7.5k but I'm unsure how they would've known what to offer to go over our accepted offer other than unethical practice by the Estate Agent. We realise that all of the above is nice and legal but I suppose when you live off commission every penny counts.
Stuart, OUCH! That hurts. We are happy to be criticised when it is justified. However, we believe your review is unfair, unkind, and, above all, untrue. The marketplace over the last few years has been frustrating from a buyer's perspective, as we all know. There have simply been far more buyers in the market than properties for sale. As a result, it has not been uncommon for a buyer to be outbid on a property. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this can be. We know this because we have to deliver the bad news to the hopeful yet unfortunate parties involved. To suggest that we would intentionally do this to make an extra commission of a few pounds is, in our opinion, irrational and spiteful. Despite our brief relationship being almost 4 years ago, we remember it too well. Delivering bad news is not easy, although it is heartening when, on these occasions, people almost always respond with dignity and grace. We should consider ourselves fortunate that your reaction when we contacted you with the bad news, and in particular your choice of language, is incredibly rare.

GoogleI can't thank Jess and the team at Your Move enough for their help and support with my recent house move. It should have been straightforward but it became unnecessarily protracted and painful. In the final stages I was talking to Jess 20 times a day, but nothing was ever too much trouble for her and she always had tome for me. She also stayed cool when I was not!! Would highly recommend!!
