GoogleA friend of mine rents from them. Taking months and repairs still haven't fixed and no reply about update either. Avoid them. I have told my friend to report to the council and citizen advise. Dont rent from whiteknights

GoogleReally shocked to deal with Whiteknights. I called them to arrange a viewing for a property (Barnsdale Road, Reading )and was asked about my affordability. Its an absolutely fair question and most estate agents are happy with the Agreement In Principle (AIP) from any mortgage provider, but not WK! When I offered to email across the AIP, I was told they accept only MAB ( mortgage Advise Bureau) recommendation. Fair enough, I mentioned that I have that too, but again I was turned down, saying it was over three months old. Then I recollected I had a recent conversation ( 5 days ago) with MAB and would be happy to send the recommendation across, but I was again turned down. I was told, it "HAD" to be "A Specific Person" at the MAB. This is just so arrogant on behalf of the estate agent. The lady at WK was just so rude and dismissive and left me wondering if they are indeed representing the Vendor in earnest ! WK is not trying to verify my affodability but trying to peddle their Mortgage Service under the guise of Covid. For me, I am NOT dealing with WK anymore, be it buying, selling, renting or letting and would strongly advise all sellers to call them posing as buyers and see if they are indeed doing their job they are meant to do.NegativeProfessionalism

Dear Krishnendu I am sorry to hear you were not happy dealing with our first contact team regarding a viewing on Barnsdale Road. I can categorically confirm we are not acting behind the guise of Covid to peddle our mortgage services, we qualify all viewers by having a physical conversation with them for a very good reason, to make sure all our viewers firstly can afford to buy the property but also because Covid is still very prominent and we have a duty to protect our home owners, staff and you the viewer. This process is part of the government covid guidelines and we as a company have continued to follow those guidelines for the reason above. Anybody can provide a mortgage agreement in principle and we do not accept those as proof, nor do we take the word of another broker. A short conversation with one of our brokers with absolutely no obligation to use them we feel is very straightforward and the hundreds of viewers who contact us every week have no issues to follow our viewing process. We pride ourselves on offering our sellers and buyers the most efficient and safest experience, im sorry you were not happy to have that simple conversation with one of our brokers so we could have shown you Barnsdale Road, its a lovely property.
