You can only rely on your old reputation for so long..

Such a poor experience when viewing houses with Webbers. Viewed two properties with them, that was enough. They wanted to get in and out of the property within 2 minutes and knew NOTHING about it. May as well of just opened the door and let me look around myself. They even made up answers to my questions which weren't true. It made me feel so deflated. I asked questions which they said they'd get back to me with the answers. They never did and said 'you need to find that out yourself - do you want to make an offer or no?' Felt like some of the properties were already a sealed deal. Thank God my house purchase was with BOP. Used to be reputable but voiced my experience with many fellow locals and they all had their own Webbers horror stories. We were going to use Webbers for a family members property sale next year but not anymore!

That they are petty when checking out of a property.

Firstly it not all doom and gloom on this review as the landlord who I had through Webbers was a good guy. How ever the letting agency was not. Was told in my contract there would be 3-6 month inspections. THAT A LIE. We didn’t have 1 in 5 years. When ever something needed doing I was told to contact the landlord which is fine as I would rather go through him. So in 5 years didn’t really have much todo with Webbers until we moved out. Pictures of a dusty lampshade was taken. work top that had 1 scratch on it. The garden had slight weeds going front and back. Be had done the garden 2 weeks before. All photos provided to Webbers. They still took money out of deposit. I’m lucky enough to no longer need to rent. We are in the middle of cost of living crisis and there are vultures when it comes to giving back your money.

Do people read these? Are they real ? Well all I can say is PLEASE read this, and YES I am a real person! I can honestly say, that we have been through 7 months of the very worst experience, ever, during our house sale. I have bought 8 houses in 12 years and this simply exceeds them all. Our buyers were rude, greedy and ill informed, and as for their solicitor, I am actually lost for words on such an incompetent, lazy, and unprofessional man. HOWEVER, Webbers were FANTASTIC, they not only remained professional and courteous at all times, they helped hold us up when things got bad, and my goodness, this was such a rollercoaster. The 'entire' team at Bude are some of the loveliest kindest, hard working and diligent people I have ever come across. Every single member of their staff including Debbie who works at the weekend went above and beyond. She knew exactly what was going on at every stage, yet she only worked on a Sunday. The members of the team who weren't really part of our sale, also knew exactly what our situation was, at every point without fail. This was over 7 months! Ann Marie, and May, who when they answer the phone, make you feel that you really count, that your call is personally important to them and with such a sunny disposition, it made the process so much nicer. Always true to their word when arranging a call back or delegating where they felt something needed urgent attention. They too were always fully 'in the know'. The Manager, John Tape, is a true Gentleman, thoughtful and considerate, wise, patient and kind. There were so many twists and turns involved in our chain, including a terminally ill child, and when the crushing reality of life and death rears its head, and you are faced with what really matters, what is 'really' important there was no doubt in my mind who 'John Tape the man,' really is. John helped to steer this transaction with tenderness, professionalism and humour! It is a fine line to walk, the path of business and generosity of spirit, but he walked it, each footstep carefully placed through the minefield of our sale. His quiet resolve and years of experience, I believe stopped our sale falling through, I have to mention Damion, he became like a family friend, as we all absorbed the stress that these people put us all through. He was always cheerful, always kind, and such a hard working man, calling us way after hours because he said he would call back, so he did!!....how refreshing is that?! A conscientious diligent salesman!! A rare breed these days, yet Webbers seem to have only employed staff who fit that mould. So if you want a mediocre estate agent, where you are a contract with a bit of cash at the end, go elsewhere. They will spin a yarn and tell you their photos are better or their shoes and watches say 'money,' that's ok. But if you want a genuine, professional kind excellent team of staff , please try Webbers. I like to think that I am a straight talking experienced woman, with a long history of purchasing houses . I have come across many agents in my time, met many sales staff, all across the country, but I can absolutely guarantee that this branch of Webbers are superlative to any I have met before. Try them...you might be pleased that you read a real persons review after all.

Be very very careful when reading your contract, especially the tie in period. Very poor service and consistant lack of communication. When you cancel the contract you are awarded a letter containing a very extensive list of names they had introduced to the property. It seems their sales tactic is to get other agents to sell the property for them.

i had two telephone calls with an estate agent at Webber's in south molton over the course of a 2 week period. to ask questions about a letting in bish mill. i also wanted to set up a viewing. the staff member i needed to talk with was not available so i left my name and number. i had not such call back. today i drove 89 miles to the office only to find out she had all of the information i needed to know. but was to busy chatting and drinking coffee with the other 4 estate agents to pick up the phone a relay the information back to me. its a joke. agency run by clowns
