Bideford effeciency

When I was first shown the property by Paul, it was new to the market yet he was extremely helpful even though he was not fully briefed on the property. I was then in contact with Alice who helped engineer my offer being accepted by the vendor. Claire was then in touch with me to progress my purchase and helped the matter through to exchange. The Bideford office has been very efficient from start to finish. The transaction took just 8 weeks from offer to completion.

Claire Brandi was a stand out superstar

We recently bought a property through Webbers (Bideford office) and Claire Brandi was a stand out superstar! We had a particularly difficult chain and she went over and above to find out what the holds ups were, keeping us updated, and providing support and advice. She was friendly, approachable, super knowledgeable and made me feel like I had someone in my corner. Anyone who has bought a house knows that looking around and putting an offer in is the easy part, getting the purchase over the line can be painful, and without Claire I'm not sure we would have crossed the finish line. By far the best I've had the pleasure of working with.

Very grateful for Webbers!

We bought a house in Roundswell managed by Jon. Our buyers were, let’s say less than transparent, and our solicitors were very difficult to deal with. Jon helped us and our sellers throughout and we managed to get what was supposed to be a relatively straightforward transaction over the line. It would have been even more traumatic without Jon I’m sure - we wouldn’t hesistate to use Webbers if/when we come to move again! Thank you to Jon and the whole Webbers team!

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Sellers beware, these agents are none too keen to arrange viewings. We tried to arrange a viewing for a house and were told that given ours isn't on the market yet we could not view. We're in a position to buy regardless so this made no sense. The house in question has been on the market for a long time and as far as we can tell has already had at least one price reductions. Bizarre attitude gatekeeping a property, that is clearly not easy to sell, like that. Or maybe that's why it's not selling! To add insult to injury they then added us to a mailing list for new developments. We never gave them permission to do this. After being inundated with unwanted emails and after FOUR requests to remove us, eventually they complied (the last request came with a threat to report them to the ICO for a GDPR breach). Maybe their focus is new build developments - bit of a pity for sellers who have signed some agency agreements with them! We won't bother looking at any homes being marketed by this "agency" (I use the term ironically).

As part of our service, we regularly send property updates to registered applicants, including all types of properties that we believe may be of interest, from period homes and resale properties through to new homes and developments. However, we fully respect a customer's right to opt out and are sorry that this was not handled as promptly as it should have been.

Estate agent I will now always avoid. Unfortunately our experience was completely ruined by one estate agent not particularly the company. Never introduced his self (actually thought he was the owner of the house we were viewing) told us to just look around, when we asked questions about boiler, anything about the property he had absolutely no idea. I told him what the description was and that someone on the phone informed me about a local mine, when questioned he didn’t know. Much older gent who clearly doesn’t want to do the job anymore… Safe to say we will not be buying or selling with a house up with webbs

Five star service.

What a brilliant experience we have had. Hannah and Marie listened to what we wanted and after our first visit we felt very comfortable with them. Donning ppe to meeting the site foreman enabled us to formulate our plan and pick a suitable plot. Keeping us updated and phoning us when another plot became free and knowing it would be perfect for us. That’s what I call service. Helping us through the buying process - you were stars.

Not good for landlords

I am a long-standing landlord. Webbers in the South West appear to offer a good rental management service, but in reality it is sketchy and offers little for the money. Unless as a property owner you accept their 'chosen traders' estimates without question, they cannot / will not deal with the smallest issues. Actually they constantly delay response to tenants' issues, and no-one including Charlie in control of maintenance seems to have any practical understanding of property maintenance or the normal costs of basic maintenance work. The estimates they produce are routinely inflated. If you choose them to manage your property be aware you will either pay over the odds for maintenance or end up doing most of the management yourself anyway.

Security breach follow up?

So on Monday this week, I receive an email from Webbers Managing Director informing us all who signed up for property alerts etc that our personal data has been compromised via 3rd party organisations that are business partners of Webbers. We were promised an update within the next 24 hours? It is now Thursday 20:50pm… Radio silence. Not very reassuring if a Managing Director cannot even be bothered to provide some kind of follow up.

Nathan was not helpful at all!

Terrible service from Nathan over the past couple of weeks! Absolutely impossible to book a site view on their Launceston site. Wanted a Saturday visit, but apparently no one there to do it. Tried for a Monday visit, but two days later Nathan had still not come back to me. Running two businesses myself for 25 years now, there is no way I will be dealing with this company going forward. If the service is like this to start with, goodness only knows how I would go on if I had a problem with the NHBC 10 year warranty (Buildmark)!
