When I was first shown the property by Paul, it was new to the market yet he was extremely helpful even though he was not fully briefed on the property. I was then in contact with Alice who helped engineer my offer being accepted by the vendor. Claire was then in touch with me to progress my purchase and helped the matter through to exchange. The Bideford office has been very efficient from start to finish. The transaction took just 8 weeks from offer to completion.

Just to express my gratitude to the team at Intercounty Bishops Stortford for selling my late parents home at Albury, never an easy task dealing with these things after a bereavement but everything was taken care of sensitively by William Jobber, Doug Whybrow, Charlie Cummins, Lisa Carpenter, Kristy Grimstone and Jake Morley on viewings plus others I’m embarrassed to say, names escape me at this moment but all were outstanding. It wasn’t entirely straight forward, is anything ever ? But all obstacles to the sale were dealt with as quickly and as reasonably as could be expected and at the finish I do believe that this much loved property was sold to the most suitable and deserving buyers. Excellent Service by Robinson Michael Jackson. Kendell was very helpful and great at communicating with us. She made the process easier, she provided reassurance and kept on top of solicitors and as this is our first home it was so helpful. Harry showed us around our new home first and he was also helpful and answered our questions. Dallas was always on hand to answer phone calls and also kept on top of solicitors. Never thought I’d be someone to hype up an estate agent but Dallas and his team at RMJ were absolutely brilliant! The process of selling my mum's house with Intercounty was seamless and professional. They sold the house in three days by making great professional pictures and drumming up interest before it even hit the market. The price was realistic as well and so were the expectations. Sam Kelly and his sales team were easy to reach and worked flat out. As for the process, I must mention Doug Whybrow who was brilliant. He was basically reachable all the time by phone everytime we had a tiny question. As we used the Intercounty solicitor he helped liaise with that team too. Doug was calm and reassuring and helped explain in laymen's terms how the details worked when they came up. I can't thank him enough for reassuring my elderly mum. I just couldn't ask for a better process. We completed in just three months which feels unreal. Thank you Intercounty team!

This is the second google review I have left in my life. I was totally shocked by the treatment I received today by this estate agent. To find the property for the viewing appointment, I first typed the address given on the estate agent's website (Benbrook Court, Plymouth Road, Totnes) into google maps, but it gave no results. Ok, shouldn't be a problem I thought, I'll just use the map they provide on their page. So I got to the exact location they gave, but there was no house by that name. I walked up and down, but no luck. So I phoned the agent, still a couple of minutes early. They were nice enough, and suggested I use street view. I did, from their page, and that showed the house on the opposite side of the street that I was on, but in exactly the place I was at least. However this was not the right address either! Finally they were able to get the agent on site to phone me after I request that he do so or just come out onto the street. He was fairly rude, told me to google something that I could not hear him say, so I asked him to message me it instead. He hung up abruptly. I waited for a minute but with no text, I called him back. He told me he had messaged me and when I said I received no text, he asked me if I had any phone reception - a rather odd question to ask someone with whom you are on the phone! In the end I just walked to the end of the road, still on the phone, and actually found him, 130 yards away from the given location on the website, and up a little side road. (The actual property was even further away). He was extremely unwelcoming and said something about being in a hurry. So I politely said that I was in the right place according to their website, early, did my best, and that I hope he understands it was not my fault I was late. He responded to this with anger, saying I should have prepared beforehand. WOW!!! I was so shocked! I asked him, "Are you really blaming me for being late, when I was early, at the exact place your website gave on the map and street view..." Then he insisted yes it was my fault, I should have googled it. Well, I HAD put it into google maps, there were no results! But he didn't even believe that (not that that should even be relevant since his website gave the wrong map location!), and said angrily something like "Do you want us to let this property to you or not?" (Which seems to me like saying 'Let me abuse you otherwise I won't even show you the property'). I have never received such appalling customer service. It is so very easy to just say "I am so sorry that we provided the wrong location" or something like that. Or even if you really don't want to admit any fault, just "Nice to meet you, glad you finally found me" or whatever. Well, it turns out that this man was actually the boss, Daniel. He handed me off to Mike, who actually showed me around. Mike was fantastic - warm and professional. The polar opposite of Daniel. It saddens me to even write this review but, I guess that's what reviews are for - sharing experiences of a company's service. And since it's his own company, I doubt my report to the company office will go anywhere. I never could have imagined such bad service as this. Update: I have just now seen the reply given below by this company, which includes: "During your recent viewing, our staff member ended the appointment due to inappropriate language." That is an outright lie. The staff member, Mike, was great. I was shown the whole property (which was unsuitable for me - in particular there was no cooker/oven, which he said was 'normal'!). The boss, Daniel, was still hanging around outside by the end of my viewing. So this nonsense about my appointment being ended is a total fiction. Quite sad that the boss would treat a customer so badly and then lie about it to try to look like he wasn't in the wrong, on the internet, though I guess that fits his pattern of behaviour in blaming me for being late after I was in fact early but his own listing gave the wrong location.
