When I was first shown the property by Paul, it was new to the market yet he was extremely helpful even though he was not fully briefed on the property. I was then in contact with Alice who helped engineer my offer being accepted by the vendor. Claire was then in touch with me to progress my purchase and helped the matter through to exchange. The Bideford office has been very efficient from start to finish. The transaction took just 8 weeks from offer to completion.

We had three Local estate agents out to value our house, looking at getting it on the market, all three were very similar in what they offered, However, in my opinion, Sophie from Webbers was by far the most competent, She went through everything in detail leaving no question unanswered, she worked with us to achieve the asking price we wanted for our house (We actually achieved higher than the asking price) I couldn’t recommend Sophie and Webbers enough!

I honestly could recommend Webbers. We were given notice and Webbers were recommended to us. All of the staff were amazing. They found us our ideal home and we are over the moon. A big special thankyou to Julie at the Bideford Office. Julie has been amazing from start to finish. Showing us properties, advising us on each one. Being on hand at anytime to answer any questions we had, and also being very understanding to our needs. My husband and I wish to thank the team very much for all their hard work and dedication.

Claire Brandi was a stand out superstar

We recently bought a property through Webbers (Bideford office) and Claire Brandi was a stand out superstar! We had a particularly difficult chain and she went over and above to find out what the holds ups were, keeping us updated, and providing support and advice. She was friendly, approachable, super knowledgeable and made me feel like I had someone in my corner. Anyone who has bought a house knows that looking around and putting an offer in is the easy part, getting the purchase over the line can be painful, and without Claire I'm not sure we would have crossed the finish line. By far the best I've had the pleasure of working with.

Deliberately misleading information

I moved to Barnstaple in September and spoke to Webbers Letting in the town about letting an advertised studio, and raised whether or not I would need a guarantee. Their response was that it was illegal under the new law, that guarantors aren’t, permitted for rentals because they don’t take responsibility for anything, and it would need advice from the manager. This was categorically untrue. It is NOT illegal, the new law has not been enacted yet, and even if it had permits guarantors. The simple answer is that they couldn’t be bothered! I approached a second letting agent and secured a property, and they confirmed that the information provided by Webbers was untrue. Furthermore, I work for a Local Authority who confirmed the same. My advice is not to trust Webbers Lettings in Barnstaple, check with other agents before accepting what they say, and pity the landlords who lose good tenants as a result. Edited in response to query: I went in twice and spoke to two different female staff. In the first case, it was a Saturday and there was one member of staff who couldn’t even be bothered to sit up or offer me a seat. No notes were taken by the member of staff and I left within 5 minutes having been effectively dismissed and told guarantors were against the law. Having discussed the legislation with housing colleagues I went in a second time. This was a weekday and the office was fully staffed but without customers. This second member of staff was not corrected or advised otherwise by other staff members. My details were not taken despite me asking that they were, as guarantors weren’t allowed as they never took responsibility and she would need to ask a manager. Even then, she showed no intention of doing so or even checking with another colleague. There was absolutely no interest, so I left. Update to response I think that says it all - as I said no one took any details or made notes of my query. No one is going to admit to responding to a customer query in the fashion that they did, or not following company protocols. My review is accurate, genuine and honest, and I can provide a description of both members of staff if that helps! I’m not prepared to debate my experience of your branch or customer service and my review stands.

Very grateful for Webbers!

We bought a house in Roundswell managed by Jon. Our buyers were, let’s say less than transparent, and our solicitors were very difficult to deal with. Jon helped us and our sellers throughout and we managed to get what was supposed to be a relatively straightforward transaction over the line. It would have been even more traumatic without Jon I’m sure - we wouldn’t hesistate to use Webbers if/when we come to move again! Thank you to Jon and the whole Webbers team!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a fridge-freezer to be delivered. Took the day off work for it, and had my old fridge collected in the morning. I had a time slot from 8:47 - 11:47, gets to 1pm and because the driver was running behind schedule he made no attempt to deliver my product. He claims he "tried to contact me" which in reality was him phoning me and hanging up within a second. I was on my phone, saw the call come up, went to answer and he'd already hung up. That's not an attempt to contact me, that's making sure he has a log of trying to call when he really didn't. He didn't buzz my flat either. He also claimed there was no where to park even though just 20 minutes beforehand I had a van parked outside to take away my old fridge. I called the company who went on to say I would have to re-book for in A WEEK. I had my old fridge taken away already, the driver decided not to do his job, and I'm expected to happily wait a week without a fridge? They also wanted me to somehow change the roads and create a designated parking space, so I'd most likely have the same experience the next attempt with the driver claiming there's no where to park again. There is, it's just street parking, which the other company had no problem with. No thank you. Cancelled and got one same-day with Currys instead. It's a shame as I like to use Argos for big appliances, but I'm not risking using this company ever again. Even the people on the phone just kept repeating the same scripted lines with 0 care for how I'd been messed around. At the very least the driver should've come back later in the day, or the next day. To be asked to wait a week and probably experience the same thing again is disgraceful. Given the amount of reviews saying similar things I have no idea how this company is still in business. Absolutely shameful.

From the very start, I knew I’d chosen the right estate agent. When Connor Davies came to value my home, his valuation was not only in line with what I felt it was worth, but also much more realistic than other agents who had undervalued it. Connor explained the whole process clearly, took fantastic photos, and even went out of his way to return on a sunnier day to capture the best possible shot of the house. I felt comfortable and confident with him in my home and knew he was the right person to sell it. Throughout the whole process, I’ve been supported by an incredible team, special thanks to Connor Davies, Lucy Lapland, Sophie Holder, Lindsay Braddick, Val Bolton, Mark, Michelle, and Josh. They stayed in regular contact, chased things up quickly, provided thorough feedback after viewings, and pushed the sale through as smoothly and efficiently as possible. I honestly cannot fault their professionalism, dedication, and kindness. If you’re looking to sell in North Devon, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Expected delivery of new fridge freezer bought from Costco to replace old one that is struggling in heatwave. Had to defrost and empty out old one 24 hrs before - only to find out 30mins the next day After the scheduled delivery that it was for some reason cancelled and we now need to rebook for another day - earliest slot being 4 days away. Cannot contact anyone because their offices are closed on Saturdays. We are a family of 5 - thanks Product Care Group for being so unhelpful and unthoughtful.

Worst Courier out there - Product Care is beyond unprofessional. Have a Tumble Dryer ordered via Costco that they are supposed to be delivering. First attempt the driver couldn't be bothered finding my house and didn't phone ahead of time. Rebooked after a lot of back and fourth with their customer service team. As with many of the reviews below have stated, this time they didn't even bother putting it on the van. That's two days of holidays wasted waiting in. The customer service team do not call you back. You have to chase to get any answer. I was told today they were going to find out what happened to my order and phone back. Waited 4 hours and no reply, so called them myself only for the customer service advisor to now tell me they'd launched an investigation and it would take 48 hours. I had to phone to find that out. When I asked to speak to a manager the customer service advisor told me "I can escalate it all I want, it will still take 48 hours". He did escalate it apparently, but I suspect that's going to be as useful as a wet paper bag. Avoid this company at all costs if you have an order they are couriering.

Without a doubt, this is one of the rudest and most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. I was expecting delivery of a fridge freezer which had already taken over two weeks to arrange. The driver then apparently “couldn’t find” my property, “apparently tried to call me” despite there being no missed call whatsoever, and I was subsequently told that Google Maps was somehow directing the driver into the middle of nowhere. To make matters worse, the individual I spoke to on the phone then attempted to insinuate that this was somehow my fault, even suggesting that I had no phone signal. This is despite the fact that every other courier company manages to find my property without issue, and I have lived here for almost a decade. The complete lack of accountability, poor communication, and dismissive attitude shown throughout this experience has been genuinely appalling, especially considering we have now been without a fridge for over two weeks. Avoid this company like the plague

If I could give zero stars I would. Sellers beware, these agents are none too keen to arrange viewings. We tried to arrange a viewing for a house and were told that given ours isn't on the market yet we could not view. We're in a position to buy regardless so this made no sense. The house in question has been on the market for a long time and as far as we can tell has already had at least one price reductions. Bizarre attitude gatekeeping a property, that is clearly not easy to sell, like that. Or maybe that's why it's not selling! To add insult to injury they then added us to a mailing list for new developments. We never gave them permission to do this. After being inundated with unwanted emails and after FOUR requests to remove us, eventually they complied (the last request came with a threat to report them to the ICO for a GDPR breach). Maybe their focus is new build developments - bit of a pity for sellers who have signed some agency agreements with them! We won't bother looking at any homes being marketed by this "agency" (I use the term ironically).

Estate agent I will now always avoid. Unfortunately our experience was completely ruined by one estate agent not particularly the company. Never introduced his self (actually thought he was the owner of the house we were viewing) told us to just look around, when we asked questions about boiler, anything about the property he had absolutely no idea. I told him what the description was and that someone on the phone informed me about a local mine, when questioned he didn’t know. Much older gent who clearly doesn’t want to do the job anymore… Safe to say we will not be buying or selling with a house up with webbs

Donning ppe to meeting the site foreman enabled us to formulate our plan and pick a suitable plot. The online manual claims Russell Hobbs is the brand but the manual delivered with the freezer says Abode. After visiting their website I discovered that they have a licence to sell Russell Hobbs products (but clearly not to claim their own brand products are from Russell Hobbs). I raised complaints with both companies through Resolver that have not been addressed and I am escalating to the consumer watchdog. Based on other reviews, it sounds like they deliver for lots of UK companies and I wonder how much business they get from misplaced trust in institutional British brands. I bought from B&Q and was appalled at the service - the freezer arrived in what looked like a second hand box held together with tape. It is subpar and makes a loud clunk every 15 minutes.

In a tricky market, the team remained committed and proactive from start to finish, qualities not always found in other agents! They never lost interest or enthusiasm, they kept working hard to move the sale forward, and always kept us informed. We didn’t have to chase for updates, which made what could have been a stressful experience much easier. Not good for landlords

I am a long-standing landlord. Webbers in the South West appear to offer a good rental management service, but in reality it is sketchy and offers little for the money. Unless as a property owner you accept their 'chosen traders' estimates without question, they cannot / will not deal with the smallest issues. Actually they constantly delay response to tenants' issues, and no-one including Charlie in control of maintenance seems to have any practical understanding of property maintenance or the normal costs of basic maintenance work. The estimates they produce are routinely inflated. If you choose them to manage your property be aware you will either pay over the odds for maintenance or end up doing most of the management yourself anyway.
