GoogleThe agent not show up for viewing at the agreed time. I called up 5 minutes past and they said the agent was coming.
Waited 15 minutes after the call, zero communication regarding cancellation or delay.
Update:
They called me repeatedly afterwards asking me to remove my above review. Saying it was ‘unfortunate and entirely my fault for not buzzing in to the flat’ with an agent that was supposedly on their way.
Agents usually come bring you in from outside fob-secured building, there was no instruction for otherwise. And I doubt the agent waited for 20 minutes inside without thinking of ringing the customer, I reached out and was told to wait outside as ‘he’s coming’.
This is just a factual account of my customer experience. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, and it might well have been a singular instance for them - but the unprofessionalism and attempts of gaslighting have left a bad enough experience for me to share.

Having looked into what happened, it appears that unfortunately there was a genuine misunderstanding and miscommunication on this occasion. Our representative was at the property, but you were waiting outside. Regardless of the misunderstanding over access arrangements, we absolutely accept that we should have contacted you when you did not meet as expected. Had that happened, the situation could have been resolved very quickly, and we are sorry that you were left waiting.
We are also sorry that our subsequent calls added to your frustration. They were made in an attempt to rearrange the viewing and then to understand what had happened and to try to resolve the situation with you. We did not intend to dismiss your experience or make you feel pressured. We certainly did not wish to suggest that your concerns were not valid, and we are sorry if our communication came across that way.
We are a family-run business and we care enormously about the service we provide. We work extremely hard to maintain the standards we expect of ourselves and are incredibly proud of the many clients who have taken the time to leave us positive feedback over the years. That does not, however, mean that we get everything right every time, and when something does go wrong we will learn from it.
On this occasion our communication should have been better, and I will be addressing that internally. We genuinely regret that your experience with us was not reflective of the level of service we strive to provide.

GoogleI can’t express enough how impressed I have recently been with staves, especially Ben. Staves wasn’t even my estate agent however Ben went over and above to ensure everything ran smoothly. He was in contact with me during the whole process more than my estate agent was and really helped fight my battles.
He kept my anxiety levels down during the whole process. He honestly treated me as though he was my estate agent, even giving me a welcome to your new home pack.
If I could have, I would have given staves the money I paid to my estate agents as staves/ Ben was much more professional and approachable.
I would 100% recommend Staves and specifically ask for Ben who is amazing at his job.
Thank you Ben for being so amazing and doing the job that my own useless estate agents should have been doing.
He kept me up to date during the whole process and has even phoned and emailed me since to see how we are settling in.
