What a fantastic experience from start to finish and we couldn’t be happier that we chose to sell our home with Starkey & Brown. From the initial valuation, I knew they were the estate agents we wanted to use. Kara was knowledgable and professional and we were pleased with the valuation she suggested. The photographs and video she put together were brilliant and portrayed our home exactly as it was. Light, bright, airy and spacious. Following on from listing our property, Aimee and Mel were brilliant at keeping us updated with viewings and chasing up feedback straight away. They continuously kept us in the loop and were always at the end of the phone if we needed them. After securing a sale, Lucy has been great at ensuring the transaction is moving well, liaising with the buyers and updating us when necessary. I knew from the start that Starkey & Brown were the right choice and the proof has been in how they’ve secured and handled our sale. We couldn’t be happier and wouldn’t think twice about recommending them to a friend.

I was disappointed by how much they overcharge with final deductions from my deposit. I had to pay 100 just to clean an oven that was never used since I first entered the flat, for instance. The agency can advise the landlords not to be predatory with the deposit.

Being new to renting out a property we were quite reliant on the advice given by Melanie at Starkey & Brown, and whilst it seemed daunting at first we didn’t need to worry too much. We felt that the help and advice we received was sound and we were both surprised at how quickly prospective tenants were found. The day after the advert went live, groups of prospective tenants were being shown around the house and, after a short selection period, the new tenants will be moving in within the next two weeks, what more can you ask for?
