Difficult buying experience - slow and arrogant legal team were a pain to deal with, but we got there in the end. Moving in experience has been great though, with all snags rapidly sorted out and a lovely welcome from the team on the ground.

Berkeley has a strong reputation for offering premium properties, and that is largely my experience with their Glasswater Locks project. Most aspects were delivered against the top standard. There were some minor flaws that stopped me from giving Berkeley a full five stars, however. The dishwasher door catches the plinth and makes noise when opening and closing, and the backing board under the bathroom sink was not fitted at the time of completion. Costumer service is responsive and keeps me updated throughout, but the dishwasher door issue has not been fully resolved. That said, the overall experience with Berkeley is great.

Quality build and professional customer service. Special requests were readily agreed. Choice of carpets, tiling, kitchen colours. House feels solid and substantial. Snags dealt with quickly. Nothing is too much trouble for customer service at this development.

Woodberry Down is not safe! Crime is now so bad that walking outside puts you at risk of theft or stabbing, any time of day, any day. Even cars are being stolen from the street. Berkeley don’t care nor have they done anything to address the rising crime rates. It’s not safe here anymore. The local gangs have also recently started entering the buildings, so we are not even safe inside. Where is the accountability?

Berkeley really train their staff to work as a team so we had a seamless service for our house purchase but Graeme went more than an extra mile as our rental was coming to an end and helped us to achieve completion before our rental contract ended. We love our dream home as the contractors are also conscientious about the standard of work on our development. A really amazing achievement for a developer.

The build quality of our house overall is probably slightly above average and the fixtures and fittings are premium brands, we have had a number of issues but consistent with its age (14 years). Our estate is managed by HML and until just under a year ago the directors of the estate were Berkeley themselves, the residents have now taken control and found a whole host of billing issues. Electricity meters estimated for the past 13 years, overcharging and lack of oversight of contractors maintaining the estate to name a few. Myself and three neighbours share a gated parking area and we have just found out that our electricity supply for our gates has been wired up to another properties electric gate and the street lights in our road, for fourteen years we’ve been paying electricity for these items that are not ours. What have Berkeley’s done? Nothing, they have walked away from the situation that they have caused, I would say that if you are considering buying a Berkeley home do your research before signing on the dotted line.

I went to visit Silkstream, a new development at Hendon, and the sales & marketing staff was wonderful. Aly Nurmohamed was consultative, patient and informative. If I make a big purchase like a new property, I would like to work with someone like Aly who comes across as trustworthy and thoughtful.

It’s seems a small matter but the CS’s response totally damaged Brekeley‘s proud of after-sales service. I moved in 2 weeks even take over 5 months. I found the water filter is torn but the CS replied that unfortunately you didn’t reported when snagging. What is the poor after sale service, no one will check the water filter and it is definitely torn before installation.
