Everyone we dealt with from the valuation to completion were very professional and helpful with any questions we had throughout the process. Lisa especially was great with us, she dealt with many queries from us and nothing was ever too much for her. I would absolutely recommend Simon Blyth to anyone thinking of selling their house.

GoogleSimon Blyth was our vendors estate agent (so not paid by us). We honestly cannot thank or recommend Simon Blyth enough. We couldn’t have been luckier to have Lisa help us navigate buying our house (especially given a number of very frustrating situations during the purchase), and we would have been totally lost without her. The communication, knowledge and speediness was beyond excellent, there was times she would go above and beyond during this process - I honestly couldn’t rave about Lisa and her professionalism enough. This process has given us the confidence that the whole team at Simon Blyth are fantastic, having also had a great experience dealing with Nicola who was also just as excellent at communication and keeping us updated. GoogleI've decided to upgrade my original rating after the agent called us half an hour after I posted it. The agent only managed to arrange three viewings (not counting two no shows) in more than eleven weeks, before we gave up and accepted a low offer, even though we listed the house at the price originally recommended by the agent, and dropped it £25K in week seven. At this time, other houses were being sold before even being listed, because the stamp duty window was due to close. Our third viewer (week nine) said she had to be persistent to get a viewing, because the agent told her we were about to accept an offer, when we weren't. Photographer was very good.
Dear Ian, Thank you for your comments, though I am sorry you are not completely satisfied with the service you received. Having looked over your file, I can see we have slightly different statistics than you have quoted. In total, we arranged viewing for eight different applicants, though unfortunately four of these cancelled or did not attend, which I’m afraid is something neither ourselves, or the industry can always control. We submitted your buyer’s first offer eight and a half weeks after your property was first listed on the open market, with the sales figure negotiated over that following week. In terms of the marketing of your property, upon valuation, we gave you a price range that we hoped to achieve. Though you reduced your asking price, the figure ultimately achieved was still within the initial bracket discussed. I’m glad you appreciated our photographs, as we try to ensure our marketing is as comprehensive as possible, to achieve the best prices for our vendors on often unusual homes, such as your own. Maria was so reassuring and helpful from the start putting us at ease and making it very clear that it was our wishes that were paramount. We were both pleased with the interest in our property with a really attractive brochure and suite of photos . Maria was responsive and helpful during the 6 months it took us to complete - part of which arose when we pulled out of a purchase when a survey revealed lots of issues in the house we had offered to buy . GoogleTo be brutally honest the one star I have given this poor excuse for an estate agent is one star too many. My brother and I put my mums house on the market at the beginning of the year. Everything was going great with plenty of viewings. However my mum lives in a very desirable area in Holmfirth, so this wasn’t a surprise. Once a buyer had been found that was as far as it went!! Zero communication and false promises all the way to the end….. “Emma is in a meeting, I’ll get her to phone you back once she’s finished her meeting” This was a standard response when I phoned for updates on the sale of my mums house. Two/three weeks later and I never got that call back. This wasn’t a one off either, this happened every time I phoned! Emmas meeting must be very long indeed!! A couple of months ago when I phoned for an update, I was told that the chain had broken further down the line and had happened a couple of weeks ago! Why myself, my brother or my mum weren’t informed of this situation I’ll never know! We have now got to the point (end of August!) where we have taken the house off the market and my elderly mum, (who was moving to Cornwall to live closer to me, so we could look after her in her final years) is now staying in her house because her health is very poor due to the stress of all this. On another note, Blyths recommended Holden Smith Law as good solicitors to use. These were equally incompetent in every respect. I can only recommend that you don’t use either company if you want to sell your house.

GoogleWe sold and purchased our house via SB. Unfortunately it wasn't a straight forward sale due to our sellers but I can honestly say we couldn't have done this without Emma B and Grace B. They were always available to speak to or would call back as soon as they could, listened to our concerns and acted very well on our behalf. It became very close to the wire when we were waiting to exchange and the work Emma did on the day before and the day of was nothing short of amazing. I don't think we would be in our new home now it if it wasn't for Emma's hard work on the 2 days. I just want to say a big thank you to Simon Blyths team (as I think I spoke to pretty much all of you) for being so understanding even when I was calling 3 times a day!
