GoogleOverall a very disappointing experience. Fantastic sales pitch at the start of the process which in reality didn’t materialise and probably the worst sales progression experience I’ve ever had having bought and sold a number of houses over the years and four in the past couple of months. I received more information and updates on the progress of my sale with Sarah Mains from another estate agent. At no point did I feel like the client, in fact I’m not actually sure what I paid for from Sarah Mains! Despite complaining the service levels continued to be way below what I would have expected for the fee I paid. An offer to reduce the total fee as an apology and in acceptance of how poor Sarah Mains had been throughout, equated to 2% off the amount we owed and just added insult to injury. Cleary the only motivation Sarah Mains have had throughout was to take their money, offer as little service as possible and then run off with the cash. On the experience I’ve had I would not recommend Sarah Mains and won’t use them again in the future.
I am aware of your concerns regarding the sales progression process. Sales progression is just one element of the service we provide to our customers. Sarah Mains Residential introduced a buyer to your property who made an offer that was acceptable to you. The draft contracts were not sent to your buyer's solicitor until 30 January and the sale completed just over 9 weeks later. A timescale that is below the national average. Our records show that we were monitoring and facilitating the progress of the sale, however we acknowledged to both you and your partner that there were times, during the progression of the sale, when our contact with you was not as it should have been. We have apologised to you both for this and, as you say, a reduction was made to the fee which your partner was happy to accept as a resolution to the complaint. This was not an acceptance of how poor Sarah Mains had been throughout at all. Sarah Mains

GoogleI have recently completed on a property purchase from Sara Main, this was handled by Donna Bell. The process had its difficulties and delays but none of this was Sara Mains fault. It was the lending and legal process. Infact, Donna has been absolutely brilliant in helping both the seller and myself get this deal over the line. She went above and beyond to help us. Her communication and drive was excellent. I would go as far as saying this deal may not have completed without her. I will happily use Sara Main again for further purchases and sales. Damian

GoogleAll staff I have had dealings with have been knowledgeable and friendly. Quick to reply to correspondence. Staff are supportive and don’t make you feel pressured. GoogleMy experience with Sarah Mains Whickham has been five star throughout beginning with Emma at the start of the process with the valuation and viewings, Rachel making sure everything was done to promote the sale online and Susan as she progressed the finer points towards agreeing our sale. They are professional and have made what can be a daunting process easy and pleasant. Highly recommended and would definitely use them again.
