GoogleWe initially chose Sansome & George because Anthony demonstrated a superior knowledge of the area and the market. We were selling our son's house in Reading while we live in Bristol - a logistically complicated affair. Our first sale fell through after several weeks (these things happen!) but the house was back on the market within 24 hours and Ben had secured another offer within a week.. The support that Barbara gave was second to none as she kept us informed about progress and even arranged for final house clearance, cleaning etc. Many thanks to a fantastic team!

GoogleVery good experience with everyone at Sansome & George. From the initial valuation, through all the viewings they kept us informed & up to date. After they had found purchasers for my partner's house & mine Barbara took over & dealt with everyone involved in both chains, solicitors etc making sure both sales were completed at the same time & on time. I have to admit Barbara & I got off to a shaky start but I'm so pleased we had here in our corner. She was relentless in getting everything done, she's exactly the person you want doing that job for you. Thank you to all of you for a great job.

GoogleRented a property 'managed' (term used loosely) by S&G -- our property manager was changed twice after staff left the company, without us being informed and left to email an account that was no longer in use. The company couldn't seem to decide whether they managed the property or the landlord did, as whenever an issue arose and we contacted the property manager, we still had to wait between days and months for the landlord to decide what to do. All of this inconvenience and back-and-forth waiting for action to be taken on repairs was incredibly frustrating. We were even told that whilst waiting for an emergency repair, we would have to wait an extra 2 days for the landlord to come and view the issue before anything could be done, despite the property manager having pictures and videos displaying that the repair was needed same day. Waiting for 2 groups of people to actually do their jobs every time something needed doing resulted in a year-long wait for another repair for an issue that was present before we moved in. S&G constantly blamed the landlord, the landlord constantly avoided actually resolving the issue, promising to send contractors who never showed. In total, it took ~12 months for repairs to be arranged despite constant reminders that we were still waiting. S&G were no help whatsoever in this situation. When we attempted to call the agency to resolve any issues, the phones were almost always disconnected, no longer in use (despite the numbers being displayed on their website or email signatures), or simply left to ring as if no-one was in the office. At the end of tenancy, our check-out report evidenced that we as tenants had left the property in a better condition than it was when we moved in (including paying for professional cleaning despite it not having been done before we moved in, and complete garden clearance despite it being hugely overgrown when we moved in). The landlord still attempted to take over £100 from our deposit for spurious charges from the check-out report, despite the recommendation of the inventory clerk being that we receive our full deposit back. Again, S&G were no help whatsoever, choosing to spend their time ignoring the inventory report and instead attempting to defend the landlord's blatant thievery against the recommendations of the company they chose to carry out the report. In the end, whilst we attempted to resolve the deposit dispute and request invoices for work carried out as proof of the necessity of the deduction, S&G decided to ignore us altogether and did not respond to our emails again, only sending repeat requests for the evidence-less deductions that they felt entitled to. All in all, a terrible experience renting through them. They allow landlords to get away with deliberate delays in essential repairs and deposit theft, have a total lack of communicaton or responsibility, and seemingly don't actually manage a thing, despite claiming to be property managers. They were worse than useless for the duration of our tenancy, as well as the period following whilst we attempted to rightfully claw back our deposit from them.

Google11 months after accepting an offer on our property we finally moved in January of this year. Charlie was with us every step of the way and helped us find the right property for our family and supported us through the process. Our chain ended up being long and painful but wow did Barbara work hard to get it over the line. Barbara was so dedicated and determined and went above and beyond time and time again! Without Barbara our chain would not have completed. Thank you S&G!

GoogleI’ve used Sansome &George before, so 25 years later, whilst we did check out the competition, there was no other choice than them. From the start to the finish, it’s been a thoroughly professional, completely delightful experience. They sold two houses not one ( my partner and I were moving in together) and from the smiling and knowledgeable first approach, the high integrity of the process throughout, with everyone we had contact with, right through to bring handed over to ‘Barbara the Lioness’, who treats the vendor and the purchaser ( two in our case), as her cubs, fiercely protective over every part of the process to the benefit of all. Holding those to account that need to be, she brooks no deviation from the goal, which is to see the sale through to a happy outcome for all. A ‘secret weapon’ no less. Both sales completed on the same day, a marvellous example of a team working so well together, and competent, experienced people in charge. What more could you want from an estate agent. I really truly do recommend a Sansome & George.

GoogleSansome and George/Neville Turner are poles apart from any other Estate agents. They really do stand out from the crowd in every way possible. Their staff are not only helpful, they are articulate, knowledgeable and friendly. They go above and beyond and do it genuinely. They want to avoid bidding wars too and this for us was a breath of fresh air. They understand that they are dealing with real people with real lives and it isn't just a property game. Their sales negotiator Barabara Legg is second to none! She helped us immensely even at the bottom end of the chain where her involvement should have stopped. She could see our agents weren't pulling their fingers out and I know, if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be in our new property now! She is an absolute assest to your company and I cannot commend her enough along with Ben Tate. Keep up the good work!

I found the agency to be extremely helpful in dealing with the sale. My friend's flat, to put in mildly, was not in the best of conditions, but nevertheless I believe that Sansome and George achieved the best result possible.
