Sansome & George Residential Sales Ltd Tilehurst reviews

We sold and bought via Sansome & George last 2022 and the whole team were amazing. Organising an open house for our sale and patiently showing us around others until we found our perfect house. Barbara was incredible and dealt with a very complicated chain and without her chasing and dedication this would not have gone through. Barbara was unwell and continued to work to ensure we got to completion. Wouldn’t have wished for a better team and would recommend to anyone. I have also just let a property via Beth and couldnt recommend anyone enough.

Go us to completion! We had a few viewings with Sansome & George in our search for a home in Tilehurst and these were always conducted in a friendly candid manner which we appreciated. Jane Hayes pulled out all the stops to get us a viewing on a property that had just gone on the market. We were very keen an got an offer accepted the next day. The conveyancing was somewhat problematic with many challenges and frustrations but Barbara was tenacious and pragmatic in her pursuit of a positive outcome. She kept us informed throughout and was proactive in ensuring that all parties were doing their utmost to keep things moving and achieve completion before Christmas. A rocky road but we were in our new home on 16/12/25. S&G have also be very helpful in recommending trusted trades people - very much appreciated when moving to a new area.

I flew in from Texas because I had to sell a property my sister left to me. So it was never an easy thing to do! Sansome did an excellent job. Efficient and knowledgeable. Barbara and Anthony were the ones I worked with. Both were excellent. We had to deal with a 6 hour time difference and many other things that were out of the ordinary. .The house is sold. The new owners love the house, and I am so happy because my sister loved it when it was hers. Thank you Barbara and Anthony for a job well done. This wasn't your ordinary situation.

I have had an excellent experience with Sansome & George. From the very beginning, handling the transition from the previous tenant through to securing a new tenant and completing everything smoothly, Beth Webb and her team (Roz King) were fantastic. A special thank you to all. Communication was clear and prompt throughout, they were professional, organised, and genuinely supportive at every step. The whole process was managed efficiently and with real attention to detail, which made letting my property straightforward and stress-free. I’ll always go back to Sansome & George, Beth and her team because of the overall experience and the confidence they give me as a landlord. Highly recommended.

From start to finish they handled selling of my old address to buying our new home. Courtney managed the sale and did a good job. Babs managed all the liaison between solicitors and getting bits sorted with the seller, an absolute legend for working at pace and getting stuff done. Liaison was good throughout. They even arranged removals. Overall can recommend for a good professional outfit.

We purchased a property, and viewed several others, through S&G. Easy to get a response across the team. We were kept updated throughout and Babs was very proactive and communicative in pushing things forward and dealing with any issues along the way. We would definitely consider using them again if we need to sell, but hopefully that won’t be for a long time!

My daughter recently bought a flat through Sansome and George. Unfortunately it wasn’t plain sailing (not Sansome and George’s fault) but the team helped to sort out the issues and made sure the purchase happened. A special shout out to Barbara who went above and beyond to help us.

The team did a wonderful job selling my family home and holding my hand through the process of buying another one, particularly Barbara and Courtney. It was stressful but we got there, with great (and professional) yet friendly communication all the way through. Thoroughly recommended!

The best ever. A nightmare journey but no fault of S & G. The management company - Sinclair Properties were absolutely awful dealing with my leasehold extension. But the most wonderful woman stepped in to take the stress from me. Babs - …

I had an excellent experience with the estate agents who handled the sale of my house. From the very beginning, their team was professional, proactive, and clearly committed to achieving the best outcome. Communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. I was kept regularly updated at every stage, and any questions I had were answered promptly and clearly. It made what could have been a stressful process feel very smooth and well managed. The effort they put into marketing the property and arranging viewings was evident, and thanks to their hard work the property sold quickly. Their knowledge of the market and guidance during the sale was incredibly helpful and gave me confidence that everything was being handled properly. Overall, I’m very grateful for the dedication and professionalism shown by the team. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property.

We bought our first home through Sansome and George and couldn't fault them at all through the entire process. Our situation was made a bit more complex by renting the house we intended to buy (yep! It actually does happen) which meant we dealt with S&G's sales and letting teams. All were fantastic to us, super speedy and persistent in coming to a resolution and genuinely lovely people to talk to. I have to give the biggest and loudest shout out to Barbara! Thank you for everything you've done for us, your persistence (especially with the roofers!) stamina and creativity would not have enabled our initial rental agreement to keep us from being homeless nor pushing the sale through to complete after all these months. This was such a positive experience with Sansome and George - Thank you!!

Absolutely delighted with the service we received from Sansome and George. We had not moved in 34 years so were very anxious about moving again. Charlie came round to see us one evening and explained the process. He put our minds at rest by reassuring us that things would be done on our terms and that we would not be pressured into making decisions we were not comfortable with. He was true to his word. If it was not for Charlie and the confidence and trust we placed in him, we probably would not have moved. We are now loving our new home and life by the sea. Of course, it’s not just about Charlie. The whole S&G team were brilliant, especially Lewis, Ben, Barbara and Courtney. They ensured that the whole house move ran smoothly and made the experience as stress free as possible. Thank you!

This was my second sale with Sansome & George but my first purchase. I can’t thank the whole Team enough for the time and effort they took over the course of the sale and purchase. They kept me informed every step of the way and their friendly approach made a stressful period in life just that little bit easier. And the communication from Barbara (Babs), couldn’t be topped - take a day off occasionally! When the exchange was postponed and my chosen removal firm couldn’t help on the proposed new date, Babs was on it and found an out of town removal firm…although we laughed at their ridiculous quote. Not to worry, she was straight on the phone to Paul at Ferriday & Alder and it was all sorted swiftly. Thank you all!
