TrustpilotSlow deposit return and lack of clarity on tenancy terms
Very poor experience with Robert Cooper.
After nearly 3 years as tenants, it took over 3 months to resolve our deposit, only after repeated chasing. Communication was slow and unhelpful throughout.
The check-out report was questionable, with several claims not reflecting the age and condition of the property. Despite this, deductions were still made for cleaning and minor garden work, with no invoices provided.
We were also asked to sign a new fixed-term contract each year, without it being clearly explained that we could move to a rolling tenancy instead. When we l informed the agency that we intended to leave, we were told this was not possible, as we had already signed another 12-month term. This was unexpected and made the moving process unnecessarily stressful.
The matter had to go through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme to be resolved.
Overall, an unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming process. I would strongly advise tenants to document everything carefully, understand the terms before renewing, and be prepared for disputes.

GoogleWe had a pleasant experience with Robert Cooper when selling our flat. The market was little bit quiet but they still pushed through and found us a willing buyer.
Riean introduced the company and shared their values and goals. Even before our first meeting, he had already done a lot of research on similar properties and gave honest feedback on what to expect. I valued his professionalism and work ethic. He led the flat viewings and negotiated with potential buyers to give us the best possible sale price.
Amber supported with the flat viewings and also took the photos and measurements for the brochure. She was very respectful when working in our space and produced excellent material. She even came back and redid the photos on a brighter day because it had rained previous session which highlights her dedication.
Finally, Sherry progressed the agreed sale through to completion. This was a challenging chain purchase with many curveball thrown at us and at times I had lost hope but she kept on top of things and relentlessly chased to resolve blockers. She kept me in the loop throughout so I was never lost in the process.
