This was our second time using David Midgley’s agency, and the first time using Richard Godsell Christchurch. The service received from the whole team was fantastic, especially so when we were having some issues in the build up to exchange of contracts. David, Alistair and Steve went above and beyond on several occasions to make sure things ran smoothly. Godsell’s are trustworthy and reliable, 2 things vitally important in this industry, but sadly lacking in many other estate agents in Christchurch.

Richard Godsell were acting on behalf of our vendors during our recent house purchase and we were so impressed throughout. We had previously viewed several properties that Richard Godsell were marketing so we already knew Steve Leigh Bryant was head and shoulders above the other agents we were viewing properties with so we were in good hands! The sale of our property wasn't without it's problems and there were further issues at the bottom of the chain. Steve took ownership of the whole situation and was really the deciding factor in pushing the solicitors to get this sale/purchase over the line! It just wouldn't have happened without him! He kept us in the loop constantly and went the extra mile to keep us calm and always explained things in a clear and concise way. He even came in to the office during his annual leave to ensure things were happening at the point of exchange. We can't thank him enough and we would highly recommend him, and Richard Godsell, to anyone all day long. Estate Agents do get a bad rep at times unfortunately but I can assure you, Steve is a true professional that exceeded our expectations by miles.

We have had a great experience with Richard Godsell. We were moving to the area which we did not know very well, Alastair was really helpful with sharing his knowledge on specific locations that we were considering, to help us with our choice. Once we had found a suitable property, the team at RG did a great job in ensuring the purchase completed in a reasonable time frame.PositiveProfessionalism

Both Alastair and Steve at Richard Godsell Christchurch have proved to be completely professional and attentive during challenging times of 2020. The house took a while however at no time did we even consider any other agent as we were totally confident that they were the best. We were kept informed at all times and communication was always prompt. I would happily recommend their services.

After hearing lots of positive things about Richard Godsell's from friends and family, we had no hesitation in choosing them to sell our home. And we weren't disappointed! David and team were brilliant from start to finish. There was passion to sell our home, and we were informed every step of the way. We recently bought our first home through Richard Godsell and I would highly recommend them - we saw a few homes through different agents but Richard Godsell offered the best experience. Shout out to Steve who originally showed us the house and answered our never ending questions! We we not in a chain so no major obstacles, but if things weren't moving along, we were able to ring the office and things would suddenly happen - so appreciate you chasing Marina! We were able to exchange and complete quickly, so thank you for helping us get our home even during this unusual time!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

I am awaiting completion of my sale and purchase in the next few days, and this has certainly been a roller coaster journey. Alastair McCall has been professional, supportive, helpful and kind throughout the entire process, and nothing has been too much trouble. I would also like to thank Steve who has been a huge support to me in the office, and on a stressful day his listening skills and advice are excellent! I would have no hesitation in recommending Godsells in Christchurch to anyone contemplating a house move. All in all a delivery of FIRST CLASS service, thank you so much. After 9 months of searching, having 4 properties fall through, missing out on so many houses for whatever reason, we are pleased to say, today we completed on a lovely 1920’s home in the heart of Christchurch. I just want to say a huge thank you to Steve Leigh Bryant at Richard Godsell. I am a firm believer in, credit where credit is due. Steve has been an absolute pleasure to work with and it was so refreshing to have an estate agent call you back when they said they would (😂). Given the current situation of the pandemic, buying a house has been a hell of a lot more stressful than normal but Steve was there every step of the way to answer and advise on any questions or uncertainty we had. His professionalism was second to none. I cannot recommend Richard Godsell high enough. Thank you for all your hard work. It has been much appreciated. #richardgodsellforthewin

Awful experience with Christchurch branch and would definitely not recommend. I advise you check that the agent isn’t buying/selling for a friend before you sign up and if it doesn’t “feel” right then listen to your head.
