This review relates to the Stanley, Co Durham branch.I cannot fault Reeds at all. I’ve never sold a property before and I’m so glad I chose Reeds Rains as my estate agent; my mum recently listed her property with Signature and had a nightmare so I was aware that choosing the right agent was important. I instructed Woods, Reeds and Your Move to come value the property and Reeds stood out by a college mile. Glenn’s enthusiasm, local and market knowledge made me feel very comfortable with instructing Reeds. Once listed the property sold within 3 days and on the first viewing.From that point onwards, it was a dream to deal with Glenn, Ashleigh and Scott. Whilst the sale wasn’t seamless (due to solicitors) Ashleigh was excellent at keeping me updated and chasing through on everything required. I would definitely recommend Reeds Rains Stanley to anyone looking to sell their property. Fantastic service all round.

Landlords Beware!Steer clear of this letting agency in Liverpool. There has been a steady decline in service and leadership at this company over the past 10 years. Expect to never receive a call back or an answer to emails unless it’s to re-market the property. The standard of tenant searching has progressively reduced, culminating in the previous tenants smoking within the property and leaving the furnished property in such a state as to require a complete refurb including fixtures and fittings. The rental has steadily decreased over the years, but expenditure on the same issues are reoccurring on a regular basis. Reed Rains do not manage the property, they merely take the rent. I am struggling to find any positives for this Company, just don’t make the same mistake I did and stay with them when in all reality, I should have left them 5 years ago when the standards and leadership at the Company rapidly declined.

Used Reeds Rains Congleton branch as lettings agent (first time landlord). They have been absolutely abysmal. Impossible to get someone to call you back or answer emails. Don't explain anything and just send random forms or documents with no cover email or explanation and then a really rude follow up email asking why you haven't signed and returned yet. Also caught the person showing prospective tenants around my property being incredibly rude about me and telling them private details about my work and travel - this could enable anyone scoping out the property to return and actually burgle the place. Plus it is just incredibly unprofessional. The branch also placed tenants without telling us anything about which tenants they were considering even though the only referenced one of the tenants (it was a couple) and when I complained told me I had signed a form allowing them to act for me and they could put anyone in and didn't have to let me know anything beforehand. Second month in the tenants have already missed a rent payment. Avoid at all costs!

My mum is selling her house with reeds n rains .uk 3 wks on they still haven't but her house online my sister n mum keep phoning emailing to reeds rains just keep saying it be on today or they having problem with the it dept and there is no sign outside house.

Liverpool office is a disgrace. Don’t return calls, ignore emails. Tell you lie after lie When you chase them up the person you originally spoke to is convenient off sick, ask to speak to the manager and they are convenient not in the office either. Staff are just rude every member of staff. Actually told me someone had left yet I seen them in the office the following week. They are a joke and you feel like they just sit there thinking of ways to upset people just horrible.

Did not see me or try to contact me for a viewing appointment when I was parked outside for an hour. Proven by the tenant and car tracker to have been there twenty minutes prior to appointment and forty after. Initially told (not a direct quote) 'It's one of those things, nothing we can do about it'.In advance, produced an extensive document and proposal for the owner to decide whether or not my circumstances made me eligible to even apply for the tenancy. Not read or passed on by Alistair in the Chesterfield office, who over the phone was clearly reading my script for the first time. Potential wasted time, travel, other opportunities and costs.Complaint lodged, (they are members of the The Property Ombudsman service)At this point I cannot recommend a landlord or tenant to trust the level of their competence in applying customer services.Will update complaint progress.UPDATEReeds Rains asking me for personal information and more details of the case via TrustPilot. Do they have so many formal complaints in one day at Chesterfield that they cannot keep track of them?

We viewed a property through Reeds Rains recently, and the lady present at the viewing was very friendly!However, we never got a reply about the landlord's decision. It is just disappointing because we had to travel a long distance to see the property.Portishead branch.

Given 1 star but would give zero. Awful company. Our letting agents for 6 years. Passed all house inspections and never missed a rent payment. We were evicted in May when the landlord decided to sell the property which was fine. Reeds Rains offered us no properties to help us relocate. 3 months after moving out we are still waiting for our deposit back but are being told the landlord is making a "claim". They have given us no details of the claim, will not let us contact the landlord directly and despite the landlord not returning their correspondence, will not help us with the deposit holding company to return our deposit. Pemberton branch. Little more than daylight thieves.

Was super getting me a flat and helping me out and was super when living in the flat. Give notice like I was meant to moved out handed keys back cleaned full flat before moved out, left the flat in the same way the flat was left for myself. Get a email 2 month later telling me that I owe them £1450 because of damages and also because of wallpaper falling off walls.. even tho I didn’t once decorate in that flat and the carpets was already dirty when moved in. They was things already left in the house when I moved into the property and then I get told I left them. I asked them if they had a invoice for when they moved me into the house for the person to ignore my email. My washing machine blew up when living in the flat phoned them up told them about it I got told to get rid didn’t get any help getting a new one like they said they would! Got my own so taken my own with me when I moved out and got told I apparently stole there washing machine when the washing machine was left in the flat blew up and they was told about it. I then try ring someone about the situation and no one phones I have taken photos of the flat when I moved out the property of what state it was in and they don’t want to know. Bridlington branch!!
