We sold our late Mother’s house in Penketh, Warrington through the St Helens branch and cannot praise the service received enough. We were treated with patience, dignity and excellent communication throughout and had a very seamless experience. Jen has been an absolute superstar all the way through and it really has been a pleasure. Thanks so much for all of the help and support.

Reeds Rains in St. Helens and especially Hayley Hughes and Steff Bretherton in my case have been incredibly helpful with both my rental property and also sale of my rental property through the" I am sold" auction website. tallulah-Mae and others that I’ve communicated with concerning the re- renting out of my mums property have not only been professional considerate efficient and knowledgeable ,Tallulah-Mae organised an open day for potential with the very pleasing result that she found the perfect tenants for the property before the previous tenants left meaning no long gap waiting for some interest ! ***KEEP AWAY***We were treated like young dumb first time buyers and constantly lied to by the sellers and estate agents. Property was advertised as FREEHOLD, we asked the sellers about the property status, they said the property was FREEHOLD, the paperwork was in the post. During the solicitors searches, it came to light that the property was in fact LEASEHOLD.Reeds Rains asked how we found out that the property was LEASEHOLD and we explained through the solicitors, to which estate agents said "but yeah its a long LEASEHOLD " - so they already knew and were hiding and MIS-SELLING!

Horrible rental experienceRenting a managed property with Reeds Rains has been a horrible experience from start to finish. They took a very long time to fix maintenance issues and even when they did, the issues would come up again in the near future. We had to live in a property which had slugs coming into rooms because of leaks which they took a long time to fix, the boiler didn't work as it should have done. They also made no effort to persuade the landlord to do regular maintenance, including replacing appliances which were very old and worn out. My partner has been dealing with someone on the end of lease team who has a really bad telephone manner. This is a company that appears to be on the side of the renter, until the time comes when you have moved out and they quickly shift to act only on behalf of the landlord and the landlord's interest. What they say on the phone is completely different to how they are on email which makes the process even more difficult. The end of lease team are also VERY slow to reply.We have only ever tried to be great tenants and were exceptionally helpful to Reeds Rains when they were trying to find a tenant to replace us when we moved out. This is soon forgotten when the time comes to leave.The bottom line is this... Improve your post-customer experience and the way you think it is acceptable to speak to people. I can see most of the reviews here are for people buying a property... Beware if you are thinking of renting with them

DO NOT RENT WITH REEDS RAINS!When you first find a property to rent with Reeds Rains they are incredibly polite and very friendly. Throughout the full tenancy they were helpful but a bit slow at times. The reason for this bad review is that their end of lease process is an utter nightmare. The moment you decide to hand your keys in, they no longer act on your behalf and instead decide to take the landlord's side on all issues and disputes, as they are the people paying the bills. The end of lease co-ordinator they assigned to me is rude, aggressive and regularly makes me feel stupid at every possible opportunity. They deal with hundreds of people at a time and their approach is not personal or understanding, it is as if they are reading off a script full of corporate language. The photos they take on the final inspection are not indicative of what it actually looks like and it felt like they did everything possible to try and take money off our deposit.To top it all off, if they do detect an issue with the condition of your property, you have no choice but to accept the cost quoted by their preferred contractor, which is charging us nearly £200 to clean a mark off a carpet. I will never again consider renting through Reeds Rains and feel absolutely betrayed by them.

Thanks to the wonderful sales team at the Salford Quays branch, we completed our first-time home purchase.Because of my own mistake, the purchase took longer than normal. However, our sales agent Laura had been caring and professional throughout the process. She did a good job resolving conflicts between the buyer and the seller. No matter how petty the issue is, she listens, reassures me and follows up properly. Especially as a first-time buyer, I could’t thank her enough for her effort and insights. Special mention to Jozeph and Todd, the teamwork at Salford Quays is as apparant as their service quality.In short, great communication and impressive response time to calls and emails. We are so happy with our new first home. I would definitely consider using this branch's service again in the future!
