I had the worst telephone experience

I had the worst telephone experience. I rung up to request a viewing for apartment that I really wanted to see . The lady on the phone was like didn’t want to help by giving just one time slot for Monday coming which I am in work and I cannot attend . When I asked if was any other times I could view her answer was just a plain NO. She clearly didn’t want to help . She put off the apartment completely. Imagine rent a property from them . Terrible !Reeds Rains in Liverpool !

We bought a house and were promised by the Manager that the house will be cleared of all rubbish. We still found rubbish and kept on requesting them to clear and they were not interested.I am surprised after reminders and so many reminders they ignored.Try to avoid if you can, can not be trusted.

Unnecessary charges for buyers

Beware. If you happen to buy a property from them. Each person will have to fork £48 ID checks. That usually done by solicitor as part of their package. While they need to verify.i don't see the point of extra payment. I would say go get that money from their customer ( seller of property)

Why do we still need Estate Agents in 2024?

Apparently this estate agent can only sell houses during THIER opening times. How ridiculous. All they need to do is contact the seller to ask if they are happy to undertake a viewing after work, around 5-6pm. If the seller is not happy with that, fine, I'll respect their wishes and find another property. My wife and I are registered with them and we've already viewed another property where the vendor showed us round. Don't the majority of people who want to buy a house work for a living? I thought estate agents had modernised their practices but Reeds Rains still seem stuck in the 80s.

We used Reeds Rains selby north yorkshire to sell our bungalow , things were ok ( allthough we had to do all the chasing up on viewings and despite telling the manager not happy with the service or the lack of it nothing changed ) upto selling but once we had a buyer the manager lost all interest , no updates with how things were progressing and not even a thank you once they got paid quite a large sum of money . definitely will never use them again .

Absolute rubbish. Do not use Reeds Reins Ossett

Absolute rubbish. I don’t recommend. I’m in the process of selling. It’s been a total frustration & I feel very badly let down by the staff at Reeds Reins Ossett. I have no idea what they are doing for their commission as it’s always me that’s chasing & trying to get things moving, I’m always getting the answer machine & I very rarely get calls back. It would be a very big review if I went into the nitty gritty of the problems due to their lack of effort. Communication is RUBBISH, the worst of any company I have ever dealt with. They didn’t keep on top of our first sale & we lost alot of time because of them. The second sale is on with & again they haven’t done anything. We’re 3 months into a sale that was supposed to take a month & it’s because they don’t chase things up or communicate with you. I complained by email to the manager laying out their negligence with the first sale. One of the members of staff agreed with my comments on the phone but the manager never responded. I rang twice for a response to my email…nothing. I’ve screenshot all the calls & you can see from my call log that they don’t get back to you. I emailed asking for a response to my complaint & it wasn’t barely a response just a couple of lines of nothing. I’m so so frustrated & fed up of doing all the leg work myself. Very disappointed. I was about to pull out of the sale & move somewhere else as I’d had enough & then they finally did something, however since then I’ve had nothing & yet again I’ve had to chase.

Horrific experience. Zero customer services skills, blamed me for mould in the property I let from them which later revealed to be written in the inventory which was completed the day before I moved in, therefore they let me a property which they KNEW was mouldy.

Worst estate agents ever

Rented a house for my family, before moving in i requested that the house was cleaned and garden fixed as any tenant would expect. (The back garden gate was damaged lay on the floor and it led to an alley way in town. there was masses of waste both in the front and back even inside the house. They called us in on a Saturday at 2pm to collect the keys (They close at 3) & did an inventory in the office and said we could raise any issues within a week if the inventory did not match. When we raised these issues they had contractors take a look and we took 3 days off work for each time they came, nothing got fixed, they didnt stick to their word of even cleaning the garden. There was wiring sticking out of every wall in the house. They agreed to fix these issues, the blamed us for not checking the property properly and accepting it was. They were extremely slow in responding after 2 months of us constantly requesting the fixtures be made, they decided they would rather 'mutually' terminate the contract. Not without incurring costs though.

I picked Reeds Rains simply because I've always noticed their , 'For Sales', signs wherever I would go and I'm so glad I did because my first contact was with a lady named Grainne. Disappointing and Frustrating Experience with Reed Rain Plaistow

I recently had a very unsatisfactory experience with Reed Rain Plaistow while attempting to purchase a property. The process was fraught with miscommunications and a lack of professionalism that ultimately led to a great deal of frustration.Initially, when I contacted the agency, I was asked to provide all my personal information and proof of funds. I informed them that my husband would be viewing the property on our behalf, and was advised to have him call directly. However, when he did call, he was told he couldn’t view the property without my details, despite me having already provided them. This initial mix-up should have been a warning sign of the confusion that was to follow.On the day of the viewing, my husband's appointment was nearly disrupted by a last-minute call to change the time, which was impossible for us due to his work commitments. During the viewing, the agent Greg was uncommunicative and only responded when I directly questioned via video call, despite my husband being present with him. My real disappointment began during the offer process over the Christmas period. After placing an offer, I received an out-of-office reply from Dea and was instructed to email the main branch. Despite doing so, I received no acknowledgment or update, leading to uncertainty and the need for further follow-ups. I telephoned and spoke to Greg, who sounded like I was a bother for calling to ask if my offer had been received. Once Dea returned, there was some back-and-forth over the offer, and I submitted the figure she suggested, which was eventually declined. I even increased my offer significantly above the asking price, only to be informed later that day that another offer had been accepted. Surely an estate agent would give an option to increase to give the seller the best price. I have since read other reviews on another platform that they have done this to other buyers through this office. The entire process felt underhanded, leading me to believe that there was a preferred buyer from the start. The lack of transparency and poor communication have left me feeling that Reed Rain Plaistow is not only unprofessional but also dishonest. This experience has been a complete waste of my time and has significantly impacted my view of their business practices.

If you want to waste your time on the…

If you want to waste your time on the market, recieve no support from the agent. Have them make up contracts. Never have staff to do viewings and end up taking your own photos of your property on your iphone and have them not let you leave them as an agent when you raise the issues. Reeds rains Hull is the agent for you.

First and last time being with reeds…

First and last time being with reeds rains, they have offered us no support through a stage of our tenancy where we were being harassed by our mentally ill neighbour, we have tried everything we can to resolve the issues we have with no help off reeds rains what so ever, were lucky to get through on the phone and the call back service is useless too. We are trying to opt out of our tenancy as soon as possible as our home life is being made unbearable by our neighbour and reeds rains continue to do nothing on our behalf, and considering they "understand our circumstances" the least this company can do is just let us leave quietly, but we're now on hold waiting for landlord (also a waste of time - and never mentioned existing problems with neighbours, which she was aware of, until we had already moved in) to give her opinion on what charges we should incur upon leaving. All we want to do is leave the tenancy with as minimal charges as possible due to this being out of our control, but it's proving difficult with uncooperative estate agents and uncooperative landlords. I'd probably advise to give these estate agents a miss as the service they will provide you with - AFTER THE SALE - will be absolutely diabolical.There is one person at Reeds Rains that helped us towards the end and really helped us get out of this, the landlady was trying to claim damages that were there before our tenancy and this individual at Reeds Rains helped to identify the damages in the pre tenancy photos, the landlady then took desperate measures for literally any money she could get back. We're so glad we're not there this Christmas, and I feel for anyone in the future that comes across this house/place, it comes across as a lovely little cul-de-sac (drive) but on one side you've got a family that leaves their dogs to bark consistently until owners arrive, and once the owners arrive (you'll hear them) they'll probably chuck them outside to continue barking where there's numerous piles of dog mess for lovely viewing from your bedroom window (which you'll smell in the summer from your own garden), then the man of the house will give you a lovely wake up call every weekend with his power tools in the shed, and the awful stench of burning wood on the fire no matter wether its 22 degrees outside you'll have the lovely smell of smoke every day of the week, unless he's out then you'll have the neighbour across revving his boat at 8am sharp Saturday taking his place. Then the other side you'll have the mentally ill suspect slamming doors and banging on walls all hours of the night, stalking you around the car park and trying anything for a reaction so she can call 999 and play victim. Your landlady won't want to hear it either, don't expect any help, or the police, which are happy to leave a young woman in a vulnerable position being stalked and harassed by this "woman".Shame really, lovely little place on a new estate in Elton but if you can see a boat out of your kitchen window, you've got banging on one side and dogs barking on the other, then I wish you all the best.

I am very confident about the selling of my Mums pride and joy property, with Reeds Rains. Tom came to value the property and took photos. Tom arrived on time, me and my partner were very tired after a long four hour journey, early morning! We felt comfortable and instantly liked Tom who explained everything about what would happen, he was very compassionate about our circumstances as my Mum has now Alzheimer’s and unfortunately had to go in to a care home! His confidence and drive about selling the property really came through. We liked his valuation and we are very happy with the Rhyl branch.
