From the initial negotiations through various visits to the house to exchange and completion (tomorrow!) it's been faultless. GoogleWe chose Peter Clarke in Leamington Spa to sell our property over the other estate agents in the town as we felt they were the best placed to sell our property. They were very professional from the start and managed all the viewings. Once we had the sale/offer they still kept in touch to make sure everything was running smoothly and assisted where ever necessary. Thank you to all at the Leamington office you were all great. Peter Clarke’s Shipston on Stour office marketed my property and Peter Clarke in Stratford Upon Avon were dealing with the property we wanted to purchase. The service throughout has been excellent from the market appraisal, the photographs (we couldn’t believe how good they were), helping us get the price we needed and agree a deal on our purchase. Melanie in Stratford has been excellent in helping to get to exchange of contracts, especially in such difficult times. Thanks also to Rachelle, Sally, Kate and Claire. I would definitely recommend them.

TrustpilotGenuinely worst customer service we've ever experienced
If you want to be treated like a valued customer, do not use Peter Clarke. We used used PC for both ends of our chain, and both fell through due to their mistakes. It is a long convoluted story, which I won't fully go into, but it boils down to them trying to pin mistakes they made on us and 'closing rank' when we clearly proved the mistake was on their part. We could have accepted that mistakes, although avoidable, happen, if they showed genuine concern and were apologetic, but it was the way they treated us that was very troubling. Our buyer pulled out and stated it was over information that was not provided to her during her showing and the offer process. PC tried to make it seem like this was our fault as it wasn't captured on the property information questionnaire, even though we told them verbally. They neglected to mention it wasn't even a field requested in the form! They clearly tried to pin their mistake on us, hoping we wouldn't check the form to discredit their claim. When our buyer pulled out (right before we were ready to exchange), they did not convince our seller to give us a grace period to find a new buyer - as it took less than a week to sell our house before. They allowed us to get gazumped so we lost the house we were hoping to make our long term family home, which took us a year to find. Our family is absolutely gutted to say the least; losing time, money, tears and hopes. We know this happened in large part due to the lack of regulation in house buying, but this does not excuse the lack of honesty and integrity by which they provided their services.

I would like to apologise again on behalf of Peter Clarke & Co as we do take customer service very seriously. We have since updated the afore mentioned property questionnaire which was initially supplied to us by the National Association of Estate Agents. When the sale fell through we did speak to the vendor of the property you were purchasing with all of the relevant facts however the other buyer was a proceedable buyer and had previously viewed the property. The vendors decision to change to the new buyer was only made because they were in a position to proceed.I am very sorry the situation ended this way for you and that we did not act in the way you would expect. I fell in love with a house I saw on Rightmove, which was being marketed by Peter Clarke, before my house was on the market. I thought it was a long shot to ask to look around but Matthew at Peter Clarke contacted the vendors and they agreed to a viewing. The house was even better in person so I put my house on the market with Peter Clarke the following week. Matthew and his colleague Renée went above and beyond to help me to sell my house and then put in an offer on the one I’d seen. My house sold on the first day of viewings as it was marketed really well and the team had a database of contacts they were able to call up, who were looking for that type of property. Matthew even took the photos as he has excellent photography skills as well.The whole process took less then three months and I’m now in my dream house and feel really happy and can’t believe it has happened! You get a lot of care and attention from the team at Peter Clarke and I know I got my new home thanks to how they handled my sale and purchase.
