GoogleEric the owner is a con man. This company is masked by the lovely women in the office. Eric came and inspected our flat and said the painting we had had done professionally was not up to scratch so he kept £500 of our deposit to have it carried out “properly”, after 2 years not to his knowledge we went back to the flat randomly and the paint work was the same as we had done. Also Eric used to turn up in announced and let himself in, been caught coming out of the shower before. Avoid this company, this is a true genuine review of what you get with Oliver Burn. AVOID.

What can i say about Oliver Burn Company, it has been an absolute pleasure to have such great customer service with a stress free experience. I was in a bit of a dilemma with my housing situation previously and they was respectful, caring, reassuring and directed me into the direction i need to be in. I can't thank Oliver Burn enough for all they have done for me. I highly recommend.

I rented a room in a property with Oliver Burn for 8 years and had nothing but positive experiences with the then property manager. During this time many tenants moved in and out and the process was managed very smoothly by the tenants themselves. However since our property manager changed earlier this year our experience has been dreadful. It takes sometimes weeks to get a reply to a simple email and all the processes have become unnecessarily complicated. Three weeks after moving out Oliver Burn have still not returned my deposit, despite saying it would be done promptly, meaning I have had to seek legal advice elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.

Dear Claire, I am genuinely sorry that you have felt the need to complain about the return of your deposit. You are correct in saying that there was a change in Property Manager earlier this year and there have been some teething problems but the Property Management team are committed to resolving them and it is unfortunate that in your case your deposit return was delayed and you waited an unacceptable amount of time. Had you raised a complaint with the company’s senior management(myself Eric Brodnock or my Co Director, Diana Burn) we would have immediately investigated and escalated the return of your deposit. You mention that the processes have become unnecessarily complicated but in the case of Tenancy swaps there are certain formalities that need to be completed that you may not be aware of , however your deposit should have been returned more swiftly and we sincerely apologise for the delay, I have been advised that you received your deposit early last week. My estate agent was Tim Hudson who was genuine, patient and professional. Tim took the time to understand my needs for my new home and was generous with his time in showing me the flat - my final viewing lasted 40 mins as I measured every inch of the space! Once the sale was agreed between myself and the vendor, he and the whole team at Oliver Burn were very helpful with ensuring it went through swiftly and (thankfully!) ahead of the changes to stamp duty. I would recommend Tim and the team at Oliver Burn to others.

We have just bought our first property and found the whole process so simple and easy with no stress while dealing with Oliver Burn and more importantly the estate agent Nick Webb. We initially viewed the property with Tim Clarke-Payton, who was very lovely and funny, but came back to view it a second time and met Nick, and from then on dealt with him throughout the purchase. He was a pleasure to deal with, took all the stress and strain out of what can be a stressful event. Now living around the corner from the office it's a delight to bump into Nick and his four legged assistant Mabel. Would highly recommend using Nick and Oliver Burn.

GoogleWhen we decided to sell our house after more than 46 years it seemed a daunting task. However, it turned out an easy passage under the guidance of Oliver Burn, Estate Agents. We landed with them by sheer coincidence. Trying to load a baby cot into our car, a very friendly young man came along to offer help. It was the same helpful man, Tim Clarke-Payton, whom we shortly afterwards discovered in Oliver Burn’s office. He and his very able team - another Tim and Theresa - gave us consistently good advice and answered all the question we had. They handled brilliantly the task of taking prospective buyers around our property without much interference to our daily life. We could not have been in better hands and can highly recommend them.
