GoogleI wouldn't recommend this estate agent. We liked a house we wanted to put an offer for, Kate Lawry said she needs us to speak to her own mortage broker to see if we can afford it. Explained to her I have already spoken to my own mortage broker and got the mortage in principle in place. I had already sent this to her as proof I felt pressured into using their own mortage broker otherwise they would recommend another buyer over me. Also once my offer was accepted they were still taking on other offers. I eventually lost the house. They tried to do this with another client. Their offer was accepted, and they called me to see if I was still looking and If I wanted to put a higher offer. Do not use this agent, Kate Lawry is unprofessional and rude. No respect for the buyer really. Hira was friendly and helpful Use move in estates, i’ve had great experiences from them

GoogleShannon Corrigan and Charlie Aldridge are the worst human beings I’ve came across!!!!! Don’t get caught to these two, specially Shannon, absolute garbage!!! Never experienced such horrible situation with an agency before. Never ever would recommend this useless organization called Oakwood and their horrible employees. Worst of the worst!!!!! They are a bunch of thieves, don’t ever rent with these people…….

GoogleI had a mixed experience with Oakwood Estates. Initially, they were helpful in finding a place for me, and I stayed in a property managed by them for 15 months. For the first 12 months, my monthly rent was £1850. However, I was surprised and disappointed when Oakwood Estates increased the rent to £2015 without any clear justification. Consequently, I decided to vacate the property. After issuing my notice to leave, I noticed that Oakwood Estates advertised the same property for £1975. Additionally, throughout my tenancy, there was no maintenance. Upon vacating the property, I was issued an abnormal quotation for rectification that far exceeded the value of my holding deposit, which I found unreasonable. This was my experience with Oakwood Estates. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.

We understand your frustration with the rent increase after 12 months. Rent adjustments are sometimes necessary, but we strive to communicate them clearly and fairly. Regarding the advertised rent after you vacated, please know that rental prices can fluctuate based on market conditions and property availability. We apologize if this caused any confusion. We take maintenance requests seriously and aim to address them promptly. If there were instances where maintenance requests were not addressed to your satisfaction, we would appreciate it if you could provide more details so we can investigate and improve our service. The quotation for rectification after you vacated the property is based on a professional third party assessment of the damages identified. We understand that the cost might seem high, and we are happy to discuss the details further to ensure fairness. If you are still unsatisfied then you can always appeal and have the case decided upon via the custodial schemes Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). We value your feedback and appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. It allows us to identify areas for improvement.
