GoogleI honestly cannot recommend HomeSmart Estates highly enough. They have been absolutely unbelievable from start to finish, and the service has genuinely been a dream. I often say to friends and family that one of the best things about my property investment wasn’t actually the property itself , it was having HomeSmart managing it for me. They have made the whole experience so smooth, easy and completely stress-free. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They are always fair, accommodating and genuinely happy to help wherever they can. It has made owning an investment property so much easier, particularly when you’re not always able to be there yourself. I have to give a special mention to Lisa, who has been incredible. On so many occasions she has personally gone to the property to check things, sort things out or make sure everything is as it should be, sometimes without me even needing to ask. That kind of initiative and genuine care is absolutely priceless and very rare to find. You really feel as though your property is in safe hands and that they care about it rather than simply “managing” it. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them. If anyone is looking for a letting or managing agent they can genuinely trust, HomeSmart Estates would be my recommendation without hesitation. Evan, George and Toby, with Laurie at the helm, have provided a truly first-class service to me and my family while selling several properties over the past year. From preparing the initial marketing materials and conducting viewings, to communicating offers and liaising with buyers and solicitors, every stage of the process has been handled with professionalism, efficiency and care (with good humour too). Laurie and his team have consistently gone above and beyond, keeping us informed throughout and making what could have been a very complex process as smooth and stress-free as possible. GoogleAndy was our estate agent/property manager for the last 4 years and was always friendly, professional and approachable. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently, and he consistently responded to emails promptly. Nothing was too much trouble. Andy was also very supportive during our transition out of our rental property whilst we moved on to buy our own home. Helping to ensure that the checkout process went smoothly. We really appreciated all his help and support throughout our tenancy. We would highly recommend Andy as a property manager and thanks again!

GoogleAndy at Home Smart has held our hand from initial enquiry about putting our house on the market to purchasing our next house. As fairly new to the house buying process (other than buying off a builder) I was nervous about the whole process. With Andy (and his colleagues) I need not to have been. When our house was valued by Andy he came and checked through our house and gave us a realistic number we could obtain. A yes man he is not, but you purchase expertise for a reason. Our house sold for less than the advertised amount, but Andy helped guide us through the whole process end to end and actually we look to make the same saving on our onward purchase that we lost out on at our own, giving a nil effect, thanks to his hand holding (even checking in on us whilst on holiday!!) and advice given on negotiating a purchase price. Genuinely interested in your progression and can’t do enough for you! Thanks Andy!

We were able to gain appointments that suited us perfectly and their representative, Joe, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. He really engaged with us on both of our viewings and listened carefully to our needs, no over selling and never making us feel rushed, as so many estate agents do. Maria, back in their office, was also lovely and friendly. All in all, our experience reaffirmed to us exactly why we want to move to Newent - lovely people and a personal service. Thank you.

GoogleThe way tenants are treated by this business is demeaning and sometimes borderline cruel. You can hear the apathy and annoyance in dripping from these people's mouths when you have the audacity to report and express frustration at the place you're living in due to issues they failed to notify you of beforehand. Sarcastic remarks and indifference are commonplace when interacting with this agency, treating you like the dirt on their shoes. You are treated as scum when speaking with these people whilst not being a landlord. I grew up in a place with some of the worst living conditions imaginable, yet it's incredible to look back at how much kindness and being treated with dignity can make difficult living spaces much more manageable as long as someone is there that's able to show understanding and empathy, speediness of fixes be damned. You people do not carry those traits though, in fact with enough interaction with a variety of the people you employ I suspect how you treat tenants is a culture actively cultivated within your office walls. You are happy to siphon money from the average working person but obviously with the unspoken knowledge that the 'service' provided is a human necessity, an affordable roof over your head is difficult to come by and is time consuming, as well as costs money that is in short supply especially in this current economic climate. This leverage you have over human beings is gleefully employed; speaking to people like they're wasting your time, delaying repairs, deferring the labour required for issues to the tenant, outright denying responsibility for anything, yet will still happily take half your pay-check every month. Accountability of anything is passed around like hot potato, lives inconvenienced is just another day at the office. I have rented from around 4 different agencies and have had little to no complaints, this has been the worst out of all of them, by a very large margin, I give this as a warning to future prospective tenants. Do not go with Naylor Powell, you will not be seen as a human being, you are swatted like a fly and issues will be dealt with begrudgingly, if at all. Edit: Since I can't respond to a response on google reviews I'll just put it here, the lack of specifics as to my identity as an existing/past tenant is very much intentional to protect myself, you do not come off as safe people incapable of retaliation. A cursory glance at your negative reviews shows you have a bad reputation when it comes to tenants already in the first place, your responses to these negative reviews have consistently been to shift blame onto tenants instead of supporting the people that should be in your care. You very much do not 'take all feedback seriously'. You are priming to dismiss and deny issues already, and then framing it as if you're just eager to help. Slimy, slimy stuff.

GoogleHi there. I would definitely recommend this estate agent. For many reasons. The people in the Newent office work with the owners to get the best outcome for them. They were very trustworthy and always had good comunication with the owners. Very polite and proffessional. It was nice to have genuine and honest feedback. Too many estate agents are just chasing sales at any cost. Nayler Powell in Newent work with the owners 100% Everyone always made time to support me during the time i was selling my house with them. Whether its about the market or how best to present my home to get the best interest. EG New ideas and updating any pictures if needed. Easily the best estate agent in the Newent area. George Noon
