Ineffectual, rude

I gave Maskells a chance to respond to issues privately, but the owner asked for time and then didn't respond again, despite followups. The market is hot, agents know it and treat tenants poorly as a result. If you're going to work with Maskells to rent a property, don't expect anything other than attention at the time of renting, and pressure at the time of exit. They'll be ineffectual during your tenancy. I asked for help and I was belittled, told my issues weren't issues, told the tenancy contract only worked in favour of my landlord, and was fed contradiction after contradiction when I was communicated with. The amount I was told (in writing) I'd receive from my returned deposit was also different to the amount I actually received. They'll claim they're different, but it's a marketing ploy and not the case (in my experience).

Maskells Kensington were incredibly helpful and professional when finding our current rental property. Tabitha was brilliant! She went out of her way to secure us the property that we loved and was always on hand to help out and answer questions. The whole team had excellent communication and kept us in the loop every step of the way! Would definitely recommend.

Peter, Vashti and the team are highly professional, proactive and kind. As a tennant since 2 years, they have helped us to solve a few technical issues we had with the property in a very efficient manner. They have always been diligent and balanced in their role as intermediaries between us and the landlord. They have a smart, diplomatic yet efficient manner to operate. I really recommend Maskells Agents in Chelsea.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

Maskells is my "go-to" estate agency in London! I have dealt with sales (Jamie) and lettings (Peter) - both are equally responsive, professional, polite and straightforward (a rare pearl in the property world)! They always take time to do a highly thorough and professional job. I have referred Maskells to friends and colleagues and the feedback has always reflected my own experience. They stand out head and shoulders about the competition!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Alex from Maskells is by far the most hard-working and proactive agent we have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and using, during our flat search. He has worked tirelessly to make the process as smooth as possible, and made himself available 24/7 for any issues we had. His help has been invaluable and he is a credit to the Maskells team. Thank you Alex!

Alex Coutts from Maskells has been outstanding, he offered great support, patience and understanding. He took his time to attentively answer all inquiries and he always wanted to make sure that I have a good experience during my flat search, which is not the norm in the rental market place in a metropolitan like London. I am sure he is a true reflection for the standards and spirit of Maskells, and I can only extend my highest recommendations for him and the agency.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Poppy! She was super kind, informative, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. Although we ended up going with another property managed by another agent, we were sad to not be able to continue working with Poppy. Very personable, responsive, and understanding! Highly recommend.

Just let a new flat in Chelsea through Maskells under most difficult circumstances (current landlord must sell the flat, we must vacate in 60 days, we are not even in the UK at present, etc, etc), but fortunately we worked with the brilliant and lovely Poppy Thompson, and could not have been more pleased with the service we have received from Poppy all the way through the lettings process! Always pleasant, always professional, simply delightful every conversation. And most important---she truly made us feel that our search and our needs were important to her!PositiveProfessionalism
