We viewed a house in Offerton area which was advertised for sale. We put the offer and it was rejected the same day and they said the seller like to receive an offer close to the original price, after a few conversations we put offer very close to that and we were told that it was accepted. Agency asked us to provide our documents include copy of passport, proof of address and mortgage approval, we have paid the fee to our Mortgage broker as it was new property and for that price was a new price so we had to get a new approval which cost us. After putting that all we were so pleased and they asked us to provide our solicitor’s details to have the all paper work done. We also paid our solicitor to visit her and gave her authority to act on behalf of us, but the agency get back to us and said that there was another person who put a higher offer and our offer was rejected now. Me and my partner were in shock as we really loved the house and we were planning how to refurbish it and also and told lur landlord that we are leaving the house, we tought as our offer was accepted and we send all our paper works they should close all other offers on it, as we loved the house we put another offer which was higher than the original advertised price. They said it was rejected we put another offer they said they will consider it, and at end they said the other buyer has offered better. We are still devastated and disappointed by the gave they put us on to do their business and make money they played a dirty game to increase the house value and rip off people, they did not care what harm they caused to our family. Never will recommend them.

Lawler & Co. are an expanding business, new to Poynton but well-established in Marple and Hazel Grove. I felt an immediate chemistry with MD Leigh Lawler (a local Poyntonian), who comes across as friendly, dynamic and very professional in his approach. He gave me a plausible valuation for my property and recommended an uncontroversial and reassuringly traditional method of sale by private treaty. So I decided to go with Lawler & Co. I’m glad I did. He and his team (Sophie, Angela and Melanie) were supportive and unfailingly helpful in guiding me through the twists and turns, the highs and lows of the selling process. In the end we achieved a respectable 94%+ of the asking price, and did so within the relatively short timescale I had been hoping for. What more could you ask for? (The fees were very competitive, too, especially given the high quality of service).

I am really dissapointed with our experience with this estate agents (Hazel Grove branch) Having dealt with other estate agents in the past, I am appalled with the way we have been dealt with. Firstly, when we shown interest in the property we were viewing the communication was good and everything was positive. We made an offer on the Saturday which was initially rejected and the agent dealing with the property came back to advise us of this. We went in with a higher offer first thing on Monday morning (much higher than the original offer and closer to what the seller was looking for), which was advised to us this was being considered. I received an email in error refenced "congratulations on acceptance of your offer" which I was thrilled about however shortly recieved a phone after the email to advise this was sent to me in error and to disregard the email. Following the offer on Monday I chased twice during the week and I was told that the offer was still being considered, I called again on Friday to which I was told I would find out either way "definitely by the end of the day" to which I heard nothing further, I tried to call on Friday and recieved no response. I recieved a call this morning (Saturday) to advise that a couple had been shown round the property this morning (Saturday) and they have put in an offer higher and whilst they could not legally disclose the amount they advised that we should make a higher offer. Whilst we loved the property and would have considered a higher offer due to the way we have been treated and the lack of communication and tactics, we sadly withdrew our offer. I hope that we do not have any further dealings of this nature and in addition we will not be recommending to anyone. Buying a house and spending money of this kind, we did not expect this level of service and expected to be treated with a bit more courtesy.

The best Estate Agent by far!! We hadn't moved in a number of years so when we were looking at selling we had a number of agents come round, and Lawler were the most professional by far. The way the manager put us at ease and explained everything simply was just what we needed. They secured a sale almost straight away with a lot of other viewings also booked in. Whilst there were hiccups with the chain along the way, the communication from all of the staff was exemplary and we never felt that we were mithering them. The whole process was completed in just over 10 weeks and we are now settled in our lovely new bungalow (which we also bought from Lawlers!).

We had a really good experience during our recent move. Denise from the Hazel Grove Branch, in particular went over and above what we expected and really helped to progress the move as smoothly and quickly as was possible. We didn't have a very good solicitor and Denise was really knowledgeable and as helpful as she could possibly be when things weren't progressing as well as they should be. Relatives were buying our house and sold their house with Lawler's who they did the very best job they could in helping to sell it. Their house sold in 6 days!!!! Had it not sold as quickly we may have lost the house we wanted to buy. I would not hesitate to recommend Lawler's to anyone buying or selling. Thanks again to the staff.
