GoogleSo unorganized
Staff aggravate situation on the property we were buying. Rang but when we returned call no one knew what they wanted? Tried to pressure us in decisions to be made. Would never use them ourselves, just sadly house we wanted to buy was with them. The for sale sign still at front of house nearly 11 months later they've never come to collect it

GoogleRude staff, delays in conveyancing were initially blamed on me by the vendor and the solicitor vented anger on me.
It all became apparent in the end, it was the seller and his solicitor causing delays but Keenans did nothing to speed up the matter nor apologise.
All they want is the money... wont purchase or sell through them ever!!!

GoogleWell where do I start? I have a plethora of issues with this estate agents and so does my family.
Upon our first visit we were shown around the house and it was lovely.
You ask the bog standard questions
and then we proceeded to go into the garden. We stated we thought it was small and the guy who showed us around said the garage straight ahead also belonged to the property, well he thinks........ I'm not being funny but if your selling a house you should know the ins and outs of a ducks bum with regards to the property.
We called up a couple Of days later to see if they had confirmation with regards to the bit of land and apparently they would give it too us if we paid more. That was absolutely fine by us as we loved the house and loved the fact it had a plot of land which was a massive selling point.
We arranged another viewing so we could get the measurements for the house and too see the land out the back as he diddnt have the keys last time (unprofessional I know)
We arrived at the house ready to do what we had to get done and as we were looking over the fence to the plot of land an old couple who were neighbors told us the land belonged to some one else! And it was the garage to the left!
The guy who showed us around called someone and the person he called confirmed it was the the garage to the left which was a decrepid old shed...... Nothing else, paying thousands more on the house for that!
After that we had had enough, we would of bought that house on the basis it came with the land and gone over our budget and would of been miss lead.
I would not recommend this incompetent company who know absolutely nothing about the houses they sell.

GoogleI called up about a house last week that I wanted to buy in cash and I found the exchange so bizarre and comical I had to write about it. A gentleman answered the phone, any questions about the house (or alternatives) were met with sighing, rude responses, abrupt and one word answers. I also wasn’t allowed to put an offer in on the house, basically because he couldn’t be bothered to do his job.
I will say that I spoke to another chap the week before who was nice and helpful and I’d been hoping to speak to him again.
However, with this other gent, If you’re selling a house here, keep in mind they won’t push to get a better price for you or even show you all of the offers.
Have a look at their reviews, seems the glowing ones are from recently made accounts with no history to them, almost as thought they’re writing them themselves.
People that operate with this sense of entitlement amaze me. Where does it come from? I guess that attitude to life is why the polite person in this exchange is buying houses in cash and the rude, obnoxious person certainly isn’t.

GoogleArranged my first viewing of a property through Keenans, I left work early in order to attend the appointment, I arrived on time and Keenans did not show, I called the office only to be told an offer had been accepted earlier in the week and that the vendor was not taking anymore viewings. You would have thought someone would have called to notify me. If they cant get the simple things right it does make you wonder. Update: received a call from Keenans last week to ask if I now want to view the property as it is still for sale. No call to apologise...... Speechless

GoogleI put my house on the market with Keenans on 12th Dec and within a month we had received around 20 viewings and had 4 asking price offers on the table. (We have recently accepted an offer for OVER asking price.) We have been thoroughly impressed with the service from Keenans Accrington, especially Johnathon whom has gone above and beyond. From the photography, account management service, viewing representatives and in general their customer service, Keenans have completely out shone other estate agents we have used previously. Should we decide to sell our home in the future, i will only choose Keenans and will continue to highly recommend them to those i know.

GoogleExcellent service. Having just sold our property and moved into the new house (during lockdown), I can honestly say that Keenan's have been a pleasure to deal with. Both Sophie and Nichol were always available (should we need them) and very helpful throughout the entire process. I would (and already have) recommend Keenan's to any prospective sellers and wish them all the best during this uncertain period.

TrustpilotCheck your appointment!
If you make an appointment with the agency in Burnley, call them before you leave. Usually, they cancel confirmed appointments without notice, telling the property is not available any longer.Do not trust them and check many times online if the property to rent/for sale is still showing - and if it is the same!Avoid this agency

TrustpilotAvoid this estate agents at all costs
Avoid this estate agents at all costs. If I could give them no stars I would have done. Initially had my house on the market with them and it sold within a couple of weeks at full asking price. I did all the viewings myself. Found a house I wanted to buy which Keenans were also marketing but the building survey showed up many structural problems so wasn’t willing to proceed. When I rang Keenans to advise them of this I was told ‘all building surveys say that’ and was met with exasperation that I wasn’t willing to proceed. I was then told that I would have to pay their full fee as they had a buyer lined up for my house. At this stage the buyers hadn’t even done a survey on my house and had only had an offer on theirs. When I questioned this I was told they had done an awful lot of work so I would have to pay. I checked the contract which clearly stated payment was due on completion of a sale. When I rang to complain I was told it was a mistake and I shouldn’t have been told this. I suspect if I hadn’t have challenged this they would have invoiced me. I asked for an investigation to be conducted into the conduct of the employee who told me this. She was rude, abrupt and aggressive in her manner. I was assured they would do this and let me know the outcome. Even though I chased this up no one ever came back to me. You have been warned!

I highly recommend doing your TTP here as Steve takes the time to educate and make sure all the information needed is given in a well presented way. It is one of the best forms of education I’ve had in a while and would suggest to anyone in the painting game to complete your course(s) needed with him

TrustpilotKeenans Burnley - Keep Clear!!
If I had the ability to give this laughing stock of a firm no stars I would. Unfortunately I am not able to and trustpilot likes to be kind and cheer them up with at least one!My offer was accepted as a full and final offer on a house and costs were incurred from getting my mortgage in principle and going forward with the mortgage. Keenan's refused to take the property off of the market after my offer was accepted. They were the first agents I had ever come across who hadn't done this (I should have listened to my gut instinct at this point.) Their excuse was some nonsense about UK law (being a law student I was very aware that the poorly constructed explanation was pulled from thin air) though I have to give them credit here - it did make me smile. My offer was eventually gazumped as people were still allowed and encouraged to forward offers on the house. Keenan's saw no problem with their unethically sharp practices towards myself and I do truly fear for their future clients...Plenty of professional, well practicing and ethical estate agents in Burnley. Shame Keenan's is not on the list of them.

TrustpilotAbsolute nutters
Asked Keenans and one other local agent for a valuation. They were quick to come round, gave a decent valuation and a solid pitch but repeatedly slagged off the other agency ("oh they're doing it online are they, well we've actually come out to visit you", "I've heard their staff aren't following Covid safety on viewings" etc). Two follow up phonecalls in 24 hours plus someone coming round with a bottle of wine and some paperwork (a standard valuation letter that hadn't been properly completed - price info and agency fee was missing). Found it all a bit off-putting so we went with the other guys. Reader, Keenans went NUTS. Guy I spoke to kept telling me the agency I'd gone with was useless and rang me back 3 times in the next two days to ask if I'd changed my mind (I said straight away that I wasn't going to change my mind and never wavered from that position). I then got a weekly phonecall from Keenans staff, asking how my sale was going ("oh so you haven't completed the sale yet, that's a shame - just wanted to let you know we're selling lots of flats in the area"). The agency we went with got us a buyer within 3 days of listing, who then pulled out, we got a new buyer within another 2 days (for over the asking price) and I have zero complaints about the process - on the other hand, being stalked for 2 months by an agency we DIDN'T EVEN GO WITH IN THE FIRST PLACE has been pretty weird. I've asked to be taken off their database now. But I'd recommend steering well clear.

TrustpilotVery helpful, friendly and made the process of buying a house as stressfree as possible
Just bought a house through Keenans and can't thank them enough for their help. I viewed a number of houses with Mathew who works in the Swinton Branch, he was brilliant at answering any questions I had and responded quickly to any emails I sent. The first house we put an offer on unfortunately wasn't accepted but Mathew was quick to find other houses that fit out criteria, he found the house that we have ultimately bought and recently moved into. I absolutely cannot fault his customer service and reliability in this whole process. We also delt with Aimee throughout the actual sales process and she was just the same, quick and responsive and incredibly easy to speak to, answering all our questions and getting back to us with any queries we had. As first time buyers its obviously quite a daunting prospect not knowing the process and Aimee, Mathew and the rest of the team and Keenans made the Process as stress free as it could possibly be, even with the unusual aspect of working through a Pandemic and viewing houses with extra restrictions they made everything run very smoothly and we can't thank them enough. I'd definitely be recomending Keenans to anyone I know who is looking to buy a house.

TrustpilotBEWARE WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISING !!
BEWARE of everything they put in description as although they know it is lies they don't care ! Property took over 4 months to complete with a cash buyer and no chain ! They are also now advertising part of my property for sale with the next door property (owner of mine owned next door property as well ) When I pointed it out to them they said it was up to me to prove I owned it ,they were sooo rude !! They only sold it to me 4 months ago !! They refused to take it off and the owner was told and didn't care but still they continue to advertise it 3 weeks later !! So whoever buys next door won't know till they see the deeds when they are further down the line with the sale ! THIS IS MORALLY WRONG !!Trading standards here I come !!
