What a great service we received from the Heaton branch! From the initial valuation, to helping us all through the sales process and finally through to that last push to get the sale complete. No question was a bother, and they gave it their all to get completion done ASAP once the ball was rolling. Massive thanks to all that were involved in the sale of both our properties.

Great customer service, communication and reach. I sold my house through the Heaton branch and am buying my next home through the Tynemouth branch. They have been very helpful and considerate throughout. I would advise conducting your own viewings as you will have a lot more knowledge of your own property. My experience is that the staff conducting the viewings are there as guides only and have little information regarding the property.

I can't praise the staff at Jan Forster highly enough. Professional, responsive and unfailingly supportive, they offer fabulous customer service. A special mention must go to Lauren Vinton, our Branch Manager, who is a complete star. Our purchase was complicated by lockdown measures, making things even more stressful, but I felt throughout that Lauren was on our side. I don't know what I'd have done without her cheery professionalism, and she worked tirelessly on our behalf (even on her day off!). exceeding all expectations. to complete our purchase. I wholeheartedly recommend Jan Forster to help you through what can be a very stressful time.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

The staff at Jan Forsters are easy to deal with, but don't use their auction services as it goes very much downhill with them. They only sold my property after I withdrew from the auction as a last bid attempt for them not to lose the money. They don't treat it like an auction with 4 bidders 'bidding' the same amount (I thought auctions were supposed to increase on each bid), they then focused on one bidder to negotiate a deal which they pushed hard with. The auction house work for the buyer only and even when they admit the seller is right, do not enforce their contract to complete within 56 days. It took almost 6 months to complete the sale through the auction house.

Hi Neil, We’re sorry your experience with us wasn’t 5*, we take feedback seriously and have taken time to review the sale of your property. Thank you for your comments regarding the Jan Forster team, we pride ourselves in delivering excellent proactive service to both sellers and buyers. I understand you were marketed on auction for 7 weeks before a buyer was secured on the property, the buyer for the property was actually introduced within 5 days of the property going to market with it taking 6 weeks to agree a purchase price. It is unusual for a purchase/sale to take so long to be agreed, from review the transaction was slightly complex with a lease extension already initiated through solicitors by you (with only 64 years remaining) and negotiated to complete simultaneous to the transaction. We understand from the auction team the delays to complete, due to the lease extension and your request to take time to find a rental property, were made transparent to all parties. We’d be happy to discuss and take feedback if this was not the case. With regards to activity, the property required quite a specific buyer due to value and tenure. The property was below lenders minimum mortgage availability, combined with the short lease meant strictly cash buyers only and cash buyers willing to take on a short lease or wait for the extension. I appreciate there is an expectation of high levels of activity with auction sales, multiple bidders, 10’s of viewings, unfortunately on this occasion the property appealed to a very small demographic of buyer. I believe the price eventually achieved was reasonable and fair under the circumstances, with security of the transaction and 0% commission paid under auction terms. We are available to discuss any further feedback to improve the service we deliver, should you wish to discuss don’t hesitate to get in touch with one of our branches. We wish you the best of luck for the future.

We have used Jan Forster estates to sell a number of properties over the years, but with the last sale they really did excel themselves. The service was exemplary, supportive, proactive, positive, quick and the team were always kind, friendly and polite when speaking on the phone or over email. In particular the team at the High Heaton branch in Newcastle are outstanding, I can't say enough about how utterly brilliant they were. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

They try to convey that they care but are very misleading. A disaster from the start on the sale of our house. Also for a whole day they were unobtainable on the phone. Do not use Jan ForsterNegativeResponsiveness, Value

Absolutely disgusted with the appalling service from Jan Forster Estates! They have managed a rental property for several years, and now the latest tenant has moved out leaving quite a bit of debit. Despite numerous calls, emails and visits to Jan Forster estates, they have so far failed to send proof of tenancy to the company demanding WE pay the tenants debits. It’s now at the point where one company is commencing legal action against us simply because Jan Forster Estates haven’t sent the paperwork across. As it’s a fully managed service we should NEVER have had to deal ANY of with this!!!!!!

I could not recommend this Estate Agent more highly. From Gerald the valuer who came to give me honest sales advice based on an obvious great knowledge of local property market, through Eddie and Andrew pushing suitable, well matched viewers my way and onto Marilyn in the Sales Progression team. An excellent, personalised service that resulted in a quick sale. Brilliant!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
