If I could have given them zero stars I…

If I could have given them zero stars I would have. I viewed a property close to me so I knew the area well and what the market was for properties. After the viewing, I rang H&H to ask some questions about the property and was told there was nobody available to answer my questions, but that someone would ring me back. So I told the person I was speaking to that I was a buy to let landlord and that I was a cash buyer. Most times you cannot get estate agents off the phone but when nobody had contacted me by the middle of the next day I chased the estate agent - a first for me. I was passed to someone who asked me what my questions were......fortunately I was able to remember them and, to be fair the person I was speaking to was able to answer them to my satisfaction. So I made an offer and was just told that the figure would not be passed to the vendor. Then silence. So I made another offer and was told this would be passed to the vendor.IF YOU ARE A BUYER OR BUY TO LET LANDLORD USE ANOTHER ESTATE AGENT IF YOU CAN!!!!!

Absolutely terrible service. Booked a viewing before they knew if they could get the keys or not. Rang me last minute to say they couldnt get the keys so wasted money on the non-refundable train tickets. Would have signed the contract there and then once seeing the property. They lost a customer who would have taken a property off them which has been up for two months after multiple people didn't secure it. Also didn't get sent the viewing address and wasted my time. Never will use again.

I placed our property on the market with Howkins following a very efficient initial enquiry and subsequent marketing strategy. The property was SSTC within 48 hours and the process was seamless Our property was then part of the probate process which once achieved was where Claire and the team shone, we had problems with communication with the buyers solicitor but Claire was totally vigilant keeping the process moving daily updating us until we reached exchange and completion. The sales team were exceptional their internal communication strategy allowed any of the team to be in a position to respond and support I would highly recommend Claire and the sales team and can’t thank them enough.

When we entrusted Rose and Sargent (now Howkins and Harrison) to secure a rental property in 2021, we were initially hopeful. However, this optimism quickly dissipated as we encountered a series of frustrating and negligent issues. From delayed repairs to inadequate insulation that led to exorbitant energy bills, their incompetence was evident. Despite repeated requests for assistance, their responses were sluggish. So we had to contact the landlord for help directly. To compound our problems, the humidity levels within the property were so high that we were forced to purchase our own dehumidifier for the living room. Unfortunately, even this temporary solution was ineffective during the winter months, as the combination of cold temperatures and high humidity created an uncomfortable and unhealthy environment. Ironically, their only promptness seemed to be in chasing contract renewals and rental increase. I wouldn't mind a fair increase if it wasn't costing an arm and a leg to keep the house warm and liveable. This stark contrast between their eagerness for financial gain and their indifference to tenant welfare is a clear symptom of a greedy and uncaring property management approach. Our experience with Rose and Sargent (Howkins and Harrison) has been thoroughly disappointing. We strongly advise prospective tenants to seek a more reliable and responsive estate agent.
