Through no fault of our own (or Harron Homes), our journey from reserving to completing was quite stressful. However, Ann Lawler in the Sales Office was always so supportive, guiding us through the process, putting up with our endless phone calls and helping us in whatever way she could. We are so very grateful for her help (and patience!). We are delighted with our new home and very excited to bring our little ones up in it.

Shocking customer service

I moved onto my Harron home (Plot 50, ravenswood fold, Castleford) in December 2016. They were great to deal with until they had my money and then they didn’t want to know. The customer service and aftercare is the worst I’ve come across. At one stage I had to call once a week for at least 6 months to chase up issues I had about my house. To make matters worst, I was dealing with the same lady called June and for some reason she never seemed to remember what my problem was and I had to spend 5 minutes at the start of ever call explaining what my issues were. As you can imagine, this didn’t instil much trust that I was going to get the work done anytime soon. My biggest problem however is I’ve been in my house for just over 3 years and the roads from the entrance to my house has not been laid or levelled. My car is ruined from the daily drive over the shocking terrain which doesn’t look like it’s going to be laid anytime soon.** update- since Harons reply on the 10th Feb to say someone will be contacting me the date is now the 24th Feb and I’ve no contact. Once again, empty promises and if you want anything sorting you have to constantly case them!

Our house is absolutely stunning, the finish is excellent and the few snags we had are already being rectified.

Thanks to Sharon and Paul, we had everything sorted for our new home in Grassmoor in five weeks.We started our application in mid November 2020 and moved into the new home on Dec 18th and celebrated xmas in style in our new home. We’ve moved onto regents green in chesterfield l, we used the part Ex option which I cannot recommend enough. It was stress free and ensured a quick transition from our old house to this one. Sharon helped us effortlessly get everything in order and moving into our home. Constantly on hand to manage any questions or queries which is greatly appreciated when moving into a new build property, nothing was too much for her and she was a pleasure to work with, our move in date was to schedule and the site manager helped us with any issues from our initial home visit, we love our home I just wish that we’d of viewed the home more times throughout the build but due to Covid wasn’t able to attend site which is understandable.

Thank you for replying to my review. However suggesting you cannot locate my details and that my review is not genuine, is entirely what I would expect. I can absolutely confirm I am genuine and have all the emails to back this up. Perhaps you could ring me / email me and deal with my issues. In particular the fact that the path and steps to my front door are not tied into my brickwork and are coming away from my house, and the block paving of my drive is atrocious (both of which have been repeatedly reported). I can provide photos if you’d like? (I have done so many times before). You have my details and I suggest you contact me to resolve these issues.

Absolutely stunning homes!

We have recently bought a Harron Homes in East Yorkshire (Yorkvale Gardens plot 213) and it’s not been an easy ride due to covid and all the restrictions in place which have meant unforeseeable delays in almost every aspect. However, Angie and Caroline at the on-site office have done nothing but hold our hands throughout and help in any way possible. Angie I feel has gone above and beyond a lot of the time and I’ll be forever grateful for this. Scott, the site manager has been great too and is always milling around the site to say hello and ensure everything is going well. We absolutely love our home and it’s something we’ve waited a very long time for. Despite some slight snags (which is obviously going to happen with a new build), the house is amazing! We have been assured that our snags will be dealt with in line with government guidelines and I have faith that this will be the case.

We recently purchased from Harron Homes, utilising the brilliant part exchange scheme they offer. This meant we were able to stay in our old home whilst waiting for our new home to be built. With everything that happened last year this was perfect. Throughout the whole process the sales team at York Vale Gardens were excellent in keeping us up to date and offered us regular visits to the site to see the process of our house being built. We were able to add a range of upgrades to our house on top of the already nice options they offer as standard. Once we moved in the site manager was excellent in fixing the few snags we had. He also made regular trips to check everything is fine.

We bought a new build from Harron Homes…

We bought a new build from Harron Homes in October 2019. We have had a problem with our discharge pipe from our hot water cylinder which has been fitted to our external wall. Every other property on the development has this fitted internally as ours should have been too. Our brickwork now looks a mess and is spreading all the way down the side of the property.After several emails and phone calls Harron Homes come back with the same response every time. Building Regs have passed it, so it is satisfactory. In other words it will do.If you are looking for a new build house and you have saved for years to get your dream home please do not buy from Harron. If you have any issues they will try everything they can to avoid resolving them.This will now been passed on to our insurance and solicitors.
