TrustpilotMe and my girlfriend have had nothing…
Me and my girlfriend have had nothing but heartache. The house is so poorly built and covered head to toe in problems. Worst experience ever. Customer care is non existent. 4 months down the line we're still encountering major issues and only a handful have been resolved. Currently living to this day in a damp riddled, leaking house which makes coming home every night unpleasant. They don't take care in there customers all they want is to take your money and completely forget about you. 6 sales women in the office and 3 site managers in six months what does that tell you? We've had them take our keys to do work for the keys never to be seen again would that make you feel safe leaving for work every morning? As it stands at the moment me and my gf are sealing legal advice and we can honestly say we wish we never bought it! So, if you're reading this DO NOT BUY A HORROR HOME. Especially from bishops glade, ripon. Ta.

TrustpilotCOWBOYS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Reserved a Harron Home in Feb 2018 and have had nothing but hell since. Company full of lies and would not wish the experience on my worst enemy. Was told our house would be ready by June 2018, but did not move in until 21st December. The house was handed over to us as a building site - no carpets, en suite was out of use (left with stale urine in),water coming out of the plugs/ walls, holes in the walls.Came downstairs on Christmas morning to a flooded kitchen so had to move out of the property for over 2 weeks as no one turned up to fix anything.Noel Adams the Managing Director came out to view the property after apologising and promising to make things right - when he visited the property he admitted there was no way the house had been legally singed off and all he could blame was the Christmas rush.Since then we haven't heard from Noel and he has failed to rectify over 100 issues in the house. Now everyone just ignores you, passes on the blame and refuses to listen or care. The sales people are awful - but you couldn't expect any less from a scummy business! We have building control coming to conduct a full audit on the property. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID - COWBOYS.COULD NOT RUN A BATH

TrustpilotThere,s nothing luxury about them just…
There,s absolutely nothing luxury about them just hazards, untidy and cramped! I,ve had 7 new builds in my lifetime (detached or country) and this was not really a choice. The list of reasons is endless and I can honestly say it,s rubbish. After a divorce 28 years to here, this is a step to the next step. The estate's road layout and parking is ridiculous, who planned the design wants sacking, havoc lorries reversing backwards past the houses cant get around with cars coming around the bend nearly an accident reversing in a neighbours drive every day. with Brick lorries unloading with a neighbour parked ontop of others drives to make a delivery awkward and they have a space on their drive, never known an estate like it, ignorant. Parking issues on driveways, neighbours were on my drive 3days for my"moving in day" carpets and our first days, putting me on the road after a divorce it was the last thing we needed for a new start, no apology even my Removal men were shocked and embarrased, then their visitor came and parked on it too, don,t mind me lol! Im only moving into my home. Confused or audacity, just look at the plans with the red line, miss my old neighbours, would they like my visitors on their drive? especially their moving in day? Bad design parking layouts with no seperation between neighbours in this row, the 'Housing' houses have a better layout. Toilet issues can,t use upstairs loo hardly any tissue and wee won't go down but ignore coming to fix. The staircase is so cracked it looks as if it will come away from the wall and the landing creaks badly. Cheap kitchen flooring I used to have £1700 wood flooring now this rubber. Unfinished kitchen. Door frames heavily cracked seperating from the walls. My daughters bedroom wall has lines down it and the bathroom. Hardly a patio to put the smallest table and chairs on and they're loose, lifting when you walk on.The side path of the house has two steps expecting to lift a full dustbin up onto them to break your back, which the slab can,t take on the step and is lifting off, unless I fall from it soon. No room for 3 bins at the back impossible to get through the gate and bin day difficult. Bad design back garden dangerous slab steps waiting for an accident to happen. Weeds for plants are no decoration. Unfinished pavements and planks of wood to get onto the driveway with your car. The rendering of the bricks lol, a child could have done it better, what an eyesaw and ugly quarry pebbles everywhere instead of slabs. Squashed up houses with hardly any land or privacy for the prices paid. I owned a 5bed detached house, double garage, drive for several cars £400k upto Sept 2018 before here. A neighbour paid £417k to park 4 cars on the road and awkward for others to get out of their "cramped" drives every day. I paid cash purchase but wished I,d not. Overpriced for quality, you get much better houses off this estate, a regret and what issues will arise soon with the building so cheaply done? The heating breaks down every week! I hope it sells when I,ve sorted out the rest of my finances and another property, to live back how I used too and OFF here. Builders are not prepared to fix any issues unless prooved with evidence and weeks to wait or not at all. I,ve heard many neighbours complaining.

TrustpilotDon't buy from harron homes
I would leave no stars if I could We reserved a plot at shireoaks a 4 bed detached house withDouble garage This was on a £500 early bird in January .We are cash buyers at £350000We go in to sign the paperwork as plot released for sale and to sort out additions to property .Only to be told there is none ?No incentives No carpets no appliances nothing When we reserved it we said we wanted it like the show homeAnd was told yes no problem we would have loads of thing includedIn house and we would pay for the rest .But that lied .We complained to the sales lady who said she had just startedShe rang her manager and we leftLater we got a call to say yes we could have incentives and what would we want.So we spent time sorting what upgrades they would include and what we would pay for Next morning I received a call from her manager sayingWe were getting nothing ??Yet the house next door was getting £28000 incentive We think we had a lucky escape anyway with the bad reviews Don't buy from them cash is king no more We have gone to a builder with 5 star rating paid a little moreAnd got over £40000 worth of upgrades if it had been a harron homeDon't buy you have been warned

TrustpilotWe purchased a Harron Home in December…
We purchased a Harron Home in December 2016. We have been living in it for just under 2 1/2 years now. Although Harron did rectify some of our initial defects, they have unfortunately not been to bothered about the more serious ones. We have had loads of issues in regards to dealing with them. The customer services team appear to have their hands tied and are unable to authorise most of the works that would incur costs eg Mortar that has fallen out between a lot of the brickwork. It is literally like pulling teeth, extremely frustrating. Especially as we are now 2 1/2 years into living at the property. Its like paying for a new car, been given it with dents and scrapes on it and with faulty gearbox and clutch. then been told that you have to make do while they the company wait until you are bored of complaining. Harron have no sympathy what so ever and are not bothered that they have left me with a house that is almost unsaleable. Thank you Harron Homes!!!

TrustpilotProbably the worst builder in the UK
Probably the worst builder in the UK. I have had endless trouble in getting Harron Homes to resolve my snags, over 12 months now. They are completely useless and really could not care less. I fed up with customer services basically misleading and lying to not just me but every other house on our estate. I am not sure if they have awards for the poorest customer service or the worst house builders but I think Harron Homes would take both.My advice to anyone that reads this that has committed to buying a poorly built property from these "builder" is to get a professional snagging report produced (before contracts are exchanged) and make the repairs part of the contract. In addition get your solicitor to retain a percentage of the value that can be handed to Harron once the work is completed. Or simply loose your deposit and buy a proper house from another developer.

TrustpilotAvoid at all costs - Terrible company
Don't, Don't, Don't buy a Harron Home. The quality of the finish of our house is disgusting. I am too embarrassed to invite guests around. Been chasing Harron for two years now and still not complete, rather than getting on with fixing it, you are left continuously chasing them. The customer service team is a joke. This is the ONLY house builder I know that has to employ dedicated builders to rectify the issues on new homes. I know three other people that have purchased new homes. One from Strata and Persimmon and one from Harron. The first two had issues resolved within 6-8 weeks. The Harron purchase was over 18 months before complete. Avoid at all costs unless you are happy not having a finished house for several years and are happy to go to court to get issues resolved.

TrustpilotAdd at least 6 months onto your anticipated move date
I bought a part exchange property with Harron Homes that meant I was waiting on a plot to be completed at Devonshire Gardens. Per my memorandum of sale, this should have been completed by Aug-Sep however the actual completion ended up being the 31st January, 5+ months later than we had been told. At the end of September I was told I'd be moving in Mid October and got withing two weeks of this moving date before they pushed it back 6 weeks. They then proceeded to keep on letting me get within a couple of weeks of moving before pushing it back another few weeks. The reason given for delays was admin errors. My experience of dealing with Harron homes was pretty shocking and not even the MD really gave a toss about the delays. According to some of the employees I spoke with, delays were simply the Harron Way.In summary, I'm sure the houses are lovely, but don't expect to be in the house on time. Add about 6 months onto what they tell you and then expect a long drawn out process of incompetence and not existent customer service.

TrustpilotDon’t buy a house from this company
Don’t buy a house from this company. They have unethical and ruthless sales procedures which could leave you high and dry like we experienced. We were given a very ambitious 6 weeks to complete with a chain and got to 7 and a half weeks and they pulled the sale just before Xmas and then offered the same house for £30k more than we agreed. Even though we had completed everything ready with the solicitors and paid for a deposit and a valuation fee, and still to come, solitors fees. These are all things, with the exception of a partial refund only on the deposit, that Harron are refusing to reimburse. Their attitude and position was entirely justified on “incentives” and did not include responsibility for stress caused and unreasonable inflexibility. We were completely missold and are considering legal action. They gave us no clear warning that they would pull such an audacious trick. The company and management are greedy and totally manipulative and who do not care one bit about the customer, only in profit. Walk away find somewhere else to live. They will run you over with no care or compassion for what they cause. Seems from other reviews on here it they do not care or compensate when they are late either. A selfish profit only seeking developer with no compassion for its customers.

TrustpilotAwful House Builder
The whole experience of dealing with Harron Homes is a nightmare, we were treated so badly during the build and even though the house was 5 months late we were rushed in at the end and not allowed to inspect the house so consequently we have over 60 faults with the house some of which are serious. We have been in the house 2 months and it looks like a bomb site with most rooms having to have plaster work done, walls redone as they are not plumb, doors are warped and not fitted correctly and and all the sockets and switches have been replaced as the original ones which we paid £1400 were basically garbage. We are having to change the bath at our expense as the one they fitted is cheap and nasty and the plumbing work looks atrocious. Sorry I can’t think of anything good about them so I strongly recommend to anybody thinking of buying a property from Harron Homes DON’T DO IT !

TrustpilotTerrible service
I went to reserve a home on Friday the 16th to be told by the sales lady that we couldn’t and that we had to ring up every Wednesday. So I rang up on Wednesday 21st and was told that we could put an early bird reservation on the plot. On Thursday 22nd I rang up to put the reservation on to be told it had already been put on by someone on Sunday 18th!! Fuming isn’t the word then The agency staff couldn’t tell me why this had happened. I have requested a phone call back from the manager still waiting 2 days later.

TrustpilotI have a loose newel post and they came…
I have a loose newel post and they came inspect for the first time and said yes , it is faulty and need to be repaired. the guy said he will arrange someone else to fix. For second time, they sent their guy to repair , they said they cant do anything is normal nothing wrong .. and mentioning the first guy been redundant and therefore he just said anything bad to the company. As it is not convincing, I said to them that they need to do the final checking and provide me a statement in writing if they think the newel poll is fine . They refused to provide me a warranty statement and said nothing they can d. I work in a consultancy firm and I have checked with my building surveyor , the newel poll definitely not right . Harron homes just try to avoid any big problems or they cant even repair or fix them i believe.

TrustpilotThe most dreadful company in existence. AVOID.
Harron Homes are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Avoid this company like the plague. Just google Harron Homes reviews to see that this is not a unique opinion of them. I'm shocked this is only the second trust pilot review (and not surprised they haven't claimed the trustpilot page and invite customers to review).Pre-sales team lied about anything and everything to make the sale.Site team were rude, stand offish and constantly lied about appointments they had 'booked' for snagging to be completed - resulting in lots of lost days of work waiting for them etc.Customer 'service' team is absolutely dreadful - will try anything and everything to make sure they do not attend to snagging issues (we have been chasing some for over 2 years which are still not resolved). They hope you will get bored of ringing them and reiterating your story to every person at the company - they do not record their calls so anything said over the phone they just simply say 'we have no proof we said this'. Even if you send them the e-mail proof, they just wait a few weeks without action and when you call back you re-start the process sending the proof.I'm bewildered by how a company with such a terrible service, product and standards can be allowed to continue trading in this day and age. Cowboys, liars and thieves.

TrustpilotHarron Homes 1 star is too much!!!!
Harron Homes sold us a substandard house, that they forgot to get correct planning permission for and failed to get a completion certificate. The only time they took us seriously was when we had to get the TV show Rip Off Britain involved but then it went from bad to worse! They agreed to move us out over the summer of 2017 into alternative accommodation, unfortunately they 'forgot' to organise this and then left it up to us at at short notice as they couldn't find anywhere. Luckily we managed to find accommodation but this was at 3 different locations which required us to move 4 times in 5 weeks with a 4yr old !!Not once were we offered an apology for this, but to make it worse the repairs carried out over the 5 weeks were shocking!!!
