They told us to fill out application ans pay the holding fee without asking for our income before to check we paid 170 then found put we need guarantor and didn't get it bk left family with new baby short nothing on there paper work explained it right yet peopity we applied for had rough garden not finished etc bloody awful company not advised to rent off these at all take your money and run .NegativeProfessionalism

I am an experienced Chartered Surveyor who deals with estate agents on a daily basis and thus I expect to receive high standards of response from them. Initially I appointed another agent in Allestree to market my father’s house, but even in a good market they produced no enquiries, that agent has since closed their Allestree office. I then turned to Hall and Benson who allocated Lisa Hunt as my contact. Lisa more than met my high standards of advice and response and with sensible mutual discussions she achieved my objective. I would just like to say how pleased I am with all the team at Hall and Benson Allestree, especially Helen, Tim and Lisa for the all the work they did for me. All though it took a little longer than expected due to the terrible times we are in, they all pulled through excellently and completed my home sale perfectly. I must say I feel a little sad not to get calls and updates any more and a chat and a bit of a laugh. Helen and Lisa have been marvellous in cheering me up when I felt down..thanks girls! And a big thank you to Tim for all your help too! Very professional people who are down to earth and very caring to their customers. Received a phone call on the day of a viewing to be told that there are 2 people viewing before us and if they put an offer in then our viewing would be cancelled on the spot. I advised we are travelling over an hour to view the property and we cannot justify doing that if there's a chance we may not even get to see it. The agent was rude and didn't accommodate us whatsoever. She advised this is industry standard.. Yet we have viewed 8 properties so far and have not encountered such poor service. Will avoid all properties from this agent going forward as they clearly believe they will get a tenant regardless of service. That ethos will only last while the market is strong, I'm sure it'll come to bite them when the market slows. Thanks for making life even more difficult for public servants during this already hard time!

Tried to put in a few offers a year ago for same house and found them unbelievably rude, did not seem to pass the offers on. Estate agents didn't seem to believe I could afford or even pass offers on, did use a mortgage broker as well as trying on my own but very snobbish and rude. Will never use them or buy a house off them ever!

Absolutely livid, Hall and Benson promising us we would be first to view a property after waiting for it to come on the market, calling up about it the second it came on the market. Turning up to the first viewing they had and them not having the right keys, who then promised us the viewings would be in the same order, Rang later that day, they said they were still looking for the keys so could not arrange a viewing yet, Rang the next day and they said the same, the agent called back around 10 minutes later to give us a viewing. Keo turns up today for the viewing and the woman supposed to be showing him round the "first viewing" tells him its gone and shuts the door!! Hall and Benson you are absolute liars, we offered a holding deposit but you said we had to look around first! And you said we would be first to view it as we had already and YOU had the wrong keys. Thank you for your fantastic service.

Had an appointment to view a bungalow on Outseats Drive a month or so ago. The agent (who I also believe was the manager) turned up on time and was polite enough but as she was about to unlock, the key didn't work. Apologised and excused herself as she had to 'make a call'. Turns out she brought the wrong key. Doesn't give you much confidence does it? We advised we would be prepared to wait while she went back to the office but she wasn't prepared to do that 'in this traffic at 5pm on a Friday.' She offered to rearrange but the only day we could squeeze it in was the following day (Saturday) but she advised no one was available to do the viewing. Their loss, as we were genuine buyers. We were polite and accepted this but obviously were not happy having made a specific journey. I'm sure the seller would be highly delighted with their commitment if they knew!
