GoogleTerrible service. Issued us with an eviction notice in March 21, on behalf of the landlord, as the property was to be sold. Had no contact from them afterwards, until they wanted to do viewings. No help in finding another rental property, during the busiest time anyone had known. They knew how busy it was! Still hadn't found anywhere to move to, after the 6 months notice expired. GTH were advised by a housing officer at the council, that the eviction notice was invalid, as issued on the incorrect form. This was ignored and the landlords solicitor said she'd take her chances and applied to the court for a repossession order. We managed to find somewhere in January 2022 and moved in 2 weeks. The landlord refused to pay us back our deposit, until I got a solicitor involved myself. The court case was then cancelled and the deposit returned. Not all GTH's fault but there was a distinct lack of help from them. This caused extreme stress at the time, as we were both self employed and had covid lockdowns to deal with and to then be threatened with homelessness. They made us feel as though we were being obstructive every time we spoke to them. We were applying for every property we could and not being chosen from the 10 applicants. It made me feel suicidal at one point.
Dear Sharon, We are so sorry to hear of your recent experiences. We have now had chance to speak to our Bridgwater office regarding your situation and they assured me that they did everything in their power to try and ease things for you. As I’m sure you can appreciate, we must act on instructions from our Landlord who regrettably needed to sell the property for personal reasons. Unfortunately having dogs can make the rental process quite difficult and although you viewed numerous properties through our offices they proved unsuitable for your needs. You subsequently changed your search to an area outside of our covered ground which made it difficult for us to assist with your search any further. With regard to the Section 21, this was issued at a difficult time within the Pandemic when many changes were being made to the legal process. We were advised by a solicitor at the time that the form would be sufficient. We understand that you managed to secure another property before the possession order took place. As you are aware, we were not involved with the retainment of your deposit. This was organised between the landlord and their solicitor, however we understand this has since been refunded. GoogleWe moved to GTH Bridgwater branch after receiving a terrible service and our house subsequently falling through with another Bridgwater Estate Agency. Thankfully, the team at GTH (especially Becky) restored our faith in Estate Agents and we have just completed on our house sale. Becky reassured us throughout the transaction and continuously kept us in the loop; we really couldn’t have asked for more!

GoogleThe team at Bridgwater were fantastic throughout the sale of our house. As with any sale it has its ups and downs but the team were so supportive even when one sale fell through. They re-grouped and found us another buyer within weeks. A special thank you to Ann and Max for their professionalism, guidance and at times sense of humor! The team at GTH were superb throughout the process. Always available and willing to talk and always doing everything they could to progress the sale. The whole team seemed to genuinely care about us and making the sale happen, but particular thanks to Max Setter who was the voice of calmness, professionalism and sanity throughout the process.
