After an initial meeting with staff at Burnham on Sea office, where they came across as helpful and professional for a valuation our late Mother's bungalow, we put the property in their hands to sell. The photos were not good and communication very poor. We had viewings for which we received no feedback. Have since moved the property elsewhere.

GoogleI recommend gth without hesitation or reservation. Why? From my initial visit to the gth office in Taunton to discuss their possible involvement in the sale of my property to the exchange (yesterday) all personnel at gth have been a pleasure to deal with. They have responded promptly and sensitively with all aspects of the sale, and liaised very efficiently with both myself and my conveyancing solicitors. The property sold had its complicating elements: these were navigated and dealt with in an exemplary fashion. Lastly, the personnel involved were always polite, helpful and friendly. The commission rate is competitive too!

GoogleThe team at the Taunton office have been very helpful and supportive both in selling our house and providing useful contacts for our onward purchase. The valuation process was efficient and the sales team headed up by Christina have consistently been professional. The after sales progression with Bill has also been excellent. GoogleOur experience has been only positive. The manager, Ollie, was very helpful in keeping us informed of the stages of the sale. He was excellent in pursuing the issues that were holding up the sale, liaising with the solicitors on both sides of the sale. We will definitely use them if we ever sell up.

GoogleSuch a good experience with GTH when purchasing our house, the whole team were great! They could not have been more helpful and kept us fully informed throughout the process. Really quick to respond to any queries we had and always really positive and willing to help (even finding us a plumber to fix a leak, and a carpet cleaner before we'd completed!). Would absolutely recommend GTH to anyone.

GoogleWe’ve had the most terrible experience whilst renting with GTH. From finding the place to checking out, it really was the worst. Richard, who is their head of maintenance is the rudest man I’ve ever had to encounter. There is nothing worse than having a man condescendingly shouting at you while you have Covid and trying to solve an issue. Their maintenance department as a whole we found to be severely incompetent, taking months to solve the simplest issue. We had issues when checking out as well. They confirmed via email that we left the place spotless but they are still going to charge us xxx amount because they wanted to have the carpets professionally cleaned. When I mentioned we will dispute this via TDS, we got our full deposit back. Do not rent with GTH. They treat their tenants really poorly and we found them to be unprofessional and their team poorly trained.
Dear Oana, We were disappointed to read your review and have looked into the circumstances with our colleagues in Maintenance and Lettings. Our records show some jobs that were raised with maintenance as well as our lettings department. The issue with the deposit in relation to carpet cleaning was reviewed by our lettings team, who agreed it was wear and tear and therefore returned your full deposit. Please note that Richard is not the head of the maintenance department. If you felt that something needed to be escalated, that could have been passed to Fiona Lodge to resolve, as head of the maintenance team. Some issues were dealt with separately by lettings, so Richard did not have full oversight of your tenancy and we will state that Richard has never shouted or raised his voice to any of our tenants. We did note in our maintenance records that there have been several jobs raised in the last year which were resolved quickly and one which was delayed due to circumstances outside of our control, including our landlord’s instructions and contractors diaries. Gas safety and boiler servicing were also carried out as per legal requirements. We do feel this rather harsh review is unjustified given the full return of your deposit and records showing that all jobs raised were indeed dealt with satisfactorily. ~ GTH
