No Building Regulation Certificate or Planning permission certificate.

I have been in my Gleeson home for just over 2 years and not had many problems, the odd snag but what you would expect in a new build home. I am now however coming to sell the property and have just found out no building regulation or planning permission certificates have been issued… 2 years after completion!! How can Gleeson sell properties with no building regulation certificates?! I have been in touch with the customer care team who have said speak to the solicitor used. I have then spoken to the solicitor who said it is a failure from the developer… so going round and round in circles. I am now seeking legal advice as the properties within the whole development should not have been completely sold until these certificates were in place. I’ll update the review pending an update if I ever get one from Gleeson.UPDATE: Waited three weeks for an update for Gleeson to confirm the works were being done yesterday. What a surprise no one showed up, range them again for them to re-confirm the works were being done today. Shock surprise they have only pulled up some flags, no ramp built and no further progress. Absolute joke of a company continues!

Inconvenient trees

We have now noticed somebody outside our property is starting to plant trees on our private grass verge. Why haven't Gleesons notified people that live in the area that will have to put up with this for the next few years. I want people to know out this is inconvenient and the worst idea ever to come from Gleesons. We can't understand why these trees are being planted as when they start to grow they will block out all our view and the sun. What would happen if we got any more bad weather and the trees blew over and landed in anybodies garden within our area. These will not prevent people from stopping there dogs crapping everywhere and will not stop people on motorbikes on the spare land when coming into darkness and will not stop children playing football outside our property. So let people be aware of where they live, to make sure they don't get trees planted outside there house without being notified.

Thank you for your review PeterWe have checked with our Contracts Manager responsible for your development who has confirmed that the planting that is currently happening is part of the overall development landscaping plan that has always been in place, and forms part of our planning obligations.This then allows this Public Open Space (POS) areas to be transferred to the management company to maintain.Obviously the planting of trees in a POS area is not designed to prevent the issues that you mention, and we would advise any residents experiencing anything criminal or anti social to report matters to the relevant authorities.Any issues relating to planting that you believe are impacting on your property directly should be raised via our Customer Care team, although in this instance we are not aware of any works other than those on the POS areas.Kind RegardsGleeson Homes

Efficient and Hellpful

Jodie from Gleesons was very helpful from start to finish with our sale. There was a slight hiccup booking our demo day but it was resolved and we were booked back in within the week. It was a very quick sale and she was available whenever we needed advise or to visit the site. We completed in less than 2 months using the solicitors and advisor recommended by Gleeson and had no issues with either service. The site manager has also been very helpful and is willing to listen to any concerns and resolve them where possible.

Excellent service

I can honestly say my wife and I have had such a good experience buying our first home from Gleeson. Before settling with Gleeson, we did a market survey which revealed they had the lowest priced houses in the area we wanted. It took just a couple of weeks to seal the deal and move in, and I have been impressed with the quality of the house and also it's large-sized garden space. We've been living in it for 2 months plus and have no complaints so far.Also, Megan, the sales executive in the sales office at Hillcrest Gardens has been really friendly, helpful and informative throughout, always responding to emails quickly. I would definitely recommend Gleeson.

5 stars for Karen at Gleesons safari in Knowsley

Myself and my partner first went into gleesons safari last year (2023) when we first started saving. Karen was very helpful and advised us on plots that would be available for the end of 2024. Karen has since kept in touch and followed us on our savings journey, and we have now reserved our plot on gleesons safari, thanks to Karen with all her help and patience. Completion for our property will be September! We have reserved the plot that Karen actually circled last year - meant to be! It’s all good up until the point you’ve moved in. Since the old site manager left (Gary) defects reported are ignored or take months to hear back on by that point damage from the defects are far worse. Site manager and customer care communication is terrible they don’t answer the phone or get back to you if you leave a message and don’t reply to emails. It’s a nice place to live but houses are poorly built and as a said there is no care. Avoid.

Houses are nice lived here 2 years and they still havent tarmacced my road. Your car will take a battering so get a new suspension before you visit. Think theyre just happy to sell houses and not finish work which needs completing for the residents who moved here at the start. Oh and the contractors who cut the grass just chuck rubbish everywhere. People who actually live here though are bob on. Gleeson management feel free to contact me, though i doubt you will.

Early days but brilliant so far!

We have just started on our Gleeson journey and so far it has been excellent!I am navigating a sensitive subject trying to move my dad from our family home of over 40 years into something more manageable, and Josh has been incredibly supportive and sensitive to this situation for which I’m very grateful.The support, responsiveness and professionalism has been fantastic -he is a credit to Gleeson and I am hopeful we can keep our momentum and get my Dad into a new home and settled very soon.
