We arrived at the Bracken Park development without a confirmed appointment, and although Stella was already with other customers, she still came out to greet us and kindly offered us a later slot. Our appointment began just 30 minutes before the office was due to close at 5pm, yet we were still there at 7pm, with Stella going above and beyond to show us around the properties and guide us through our reservation and choices.

Angie at Holton Croft was so so attentive, sometimes you feel under pressure when visiting show homes but Angie made us feel so at ease and relaxed she was that good we ended up reserving! As first time buyers we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Gleeson homes and more importantly the staff that made the process so smooth and enjoyable. We were regularly updated throughout the whole process by Emily and Dani at the sales office who were absolutely amazing and truly are a credit to the company. They went above and beyond for us with anything we needed and explained everything thoroughly with us not having a clue going through the process for the first time 😅 A few snags were already logged before we even got the keys by Emily, and she was honest with any issues before we came across them and made sure they were rectified- no sugarcoating which we really appreciated.

Atrocious company

We have numerous repairs outstanding, some repairs carried out by a so called handyman what a joke, tradesmen should be doing them, front entrance road a really bad design but gleeson blame road user, so called park wide open with no fencing to protect the children, and very poorly maintained, 2 drains outside entrance full of tarmac and overflow, rear garden has more rubble than soil and grass, I can't wait for the surveyors report and to Go to court, absolutely atrocious customer service, they want to put a tree outside to fulfill their obligation what a load of crap,

Before we moved into the new build house the process was amazing, if you emailed it would be responded to straight away, if you rang someone would always answer. Now that we have moved into the house we find it near impossible to get in contact with the sales team for stuff we are still waiting for and the site team. We are extremely disappointed in how things have gone since moving into the house. Big issues that we have brought up have been told they can’t be fixed. We have had so many issues / snags in the house. From the house demo, the snags we picked up on weeks ago still hadn’t been fixed and still not fixed when we moved in. The most recent one being the cupboard door falling off and damaging the oven hob. We have tried to keep an open mind about all these issues however starting to get really annoyed due to how many issues there is. It’s as if they have built the house as quick as possible with no quality or care. How this passed the inspection I never know. We have also been told by contractors that have been around to fix some of the issues that if it was their house they wouldn’t have moved in due to the amount of issues they can see. We haven’t been able to settle in the house yet due to the amount of things that need fixed. This is not a home, it’s still a construction site.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Scott and Roxy for making the whole process of buying a house at Winceby Fields, Gleeson Homes so simple, quick and efficient. From initial enquiry all the way through too completion, nothing was ever to much. Both Scott and Roxy were happy to work around my work schedule, even coming in on days off to help. Even though I reserved the house at the last minute, Gleeson managed to accommodate all finishing touches I needed. What really impressed me was the aftercare service. Even though I’ve not had any issues, they have checked in with me to make sure I’m happy with everything in the house. Would definitely recommend Gleeson and will be back to buy again!

No aftercare as promised

When our property was handed over to us, we were told on our doorstep from the sales team and the head of builders, that should we have any problems with ANYTHING on site to get in touch with customer service. Our problem is regarding the covenants that we had to sign, these are not being adhered to with quite a few properties on our housing development. Contacted customer service who have literally told us, there is nothing they can do to make sure all properties uphold these, get legal advice! So asked a solicitor and they have told us that the developer can enforce them while still in control of the site, which they are! Very disappointed in the over-promising during sales and now falling back on the legal reality.

Their After Sales Is Non-Existant

There after sales is rubbish. They do not want to fix problems that they have caused. When we moved in, our back garden looked like a dump for builders rubbish. They came and rotated it to remove bricks, rocks, builders rubbish. They could not of rotated very deep because when the weather turned nice, I started to dig the garden and found loads more builders rubbish and a lump of concrete about 2-3 meters wide and 5-6 meters long about an inch under the soil. I raised a complaint with Gleeson's and they refused to do anything about it.

I cannot thank Sarah enough for the sheer commitment & determination to ensure a very smooth journey throughout the purchase. It's very rare you come across a Sales person that doesn't push anything on to you unnecessarily. She is honest & committed to keeping the train on the tracks for you throughout your home purchasing journey. Sarah comes highly recommended to speak with if you are considering buying at Hays Park, no question is too silly & no problem is ever too large. I have been chasing since SEPTEMBER

I have been chasing since September as to the state that our estate has been left in. They have moved off this site now and it is clearly out of sight, out of mind. Constantly being fobbed off with the same ‘we are chasing our technical department’ response. The management company have not took over yet so it is of the responsibility of Gleeson to do this yet these ‘managed’ areas have been left for months and months leaving it a scruffy mess. Just goes to show the disregard they have once they have their money!!

Gleeson Homes spring mill have been amazing. I started by a visit  with Paul the sales representatives.  What a nice man from that that day. I was telling him I have my house  up for sale.  How I was getting a lot of time people but giving silly offers.  He helped me by telling how I should approach that . The easiest agent we used was no help I was on my own. Well it was a great help  I sold it . Great help Paul.  He kept me well informed of the house I chose.  Even phone me every week.  We was passed on to the senior team member.We have been kept informed with every step of the way in the process of our new home. We moved to our new Gleeson Home in Wragby Hawthorn Fields Lincolnshire in August 2024 and the experience was excellent. Scott our main sales advisor was brilliant so helpful caring and friendly going over things for us, always answering our phone calls ( there were a few ) as we lived about 40 mins away. Explaining everything he needed to do regarding the buying and more. He is a credit to Gleeson's.I would just like to add that Bethany, Angie. and Jordan have also been very helpful and professional.The on site care since we moved has been fantastic with one of the site managers Adrian (Adie) helping straight away with a couple of snags we had.But all the on site people are happy friendly and again professional.We hope to have many a few years in our lovely home. Dream came true!

This was my first and only experience with a housing group in the UK, and Gleeson was incredibly helpful from the start. I remember having a list of property viewings scheduled for the first day of my home-buying journey, but I had no interest in attending other viewings because I wasn’t keen on purchasing a previously owned home. Surprisingly, my first viewing was with Gleesons, and I didn’t bother with any others after that. They made everything so easy and provided all the information I needed.As someone from Sri Lanka, I sometimes struggle to understand the accents of UK-born people, but Gleesons went out of their way to ensure I understood the entire process. They supported me through multiple meetings and were flexible when I changed my mind several times regarding extras for the home.One of the most significant aspects of my experience was receiving the key worker deposit from Gleesons, which was a huge help in gathering the initial deposit. Without it, I would have had to wait much longer to save up from my salary. They were by my side throughout the process, making sure I wasn’t alone until I could see my dream home become a reality. Jodie was instrumental in chasing up our Solicitor’s when deadlines loomed and she kept us informed of developments weekly. I found the staff at Gleeson Homes, especially Angela Berrington and her colleague Lauren, to be extremely courteous, helpful, thorough and professional in dealing with us as customers at the time.They were communicative and obliging and represented Gleeson Homes exceptionally well at all times.The houses are seemingly of a good standard with lots of space - it would be nice if the Aspatria estate had more in the way of bird and bat boxes and installations for nature, however everything was good apart from that.We thank them for their time and help.Mitch and Lucy
