Lisa’s professionalism throughout the process was impeccable, ensuring that each step of the process was met in a thorough and timely manner, following up with other parties involved when they were causing any delays as well as keeping us informed every step of the way. Sarah Wass and Hollie Sambrook were outstanding when we recently purchased our first home. We barely ever felt the need to contact them because they were constantly in contact with us, keeping us updated and reassuring us as to the next steps in the process. Having used home Property Lawyers successfully on a previous property I engaged them to deal with them for my Mother's property. The company became part of the Gilson Gray Group, however the transition was fairly smooth and didn't affect the sale of the property.Heather dealt with the case very professionally and was always on hand to answer any questions. Since 2019, we have used the Lincoln based law firm for the conveyancing of our current and past four properties (we backed out of two part-way) and have to say Sally McBride and her assistants provided an exceptional service. I changed the solicitors for home…

I changed the solicitors for home property lawyers. in October . Because they got a good review. I needed to finish the deed of variation on my sale . But what I didn't know is that they  will be Gilson Gray . Since the company took over my case,and a woman called May left . They dont answer simple questions about how long it takes and what is left to do. When I gave it to the company I told them to ask everything from the old solicitor. It was in october. Of course I wrote this dawn in an email  I just got a letter. I need my permission to get everything from my lawyer and it cost 100 pounds + vat In February ????? 4 month later the old solicitor papers are still not with them ? They do not communicate with me . I called them up but the woman dealing with my case was not available. I asked the woman I was talking to to send me an email about what is going on. I don't get anything . The women said they dealt with enquiries which my buyer solicitor asked. What was left to do with my knowledge was that nothing else left just the deed of variation . Do not go with them if possible . My house has been selling for over a year. with them since october but they not communicate with me at all. Not talking about i dealing with the 5 th person if not the sixth one in 5 month. they changing my solicitor every 3 weeks.

We used Gilson Gray as our solicitor…

We used Gilson Gray as our solicitor for the purchase of our new home. The service was appalling and it was the most stressful experience we’ve ever had. From start to finish we dealt with 9 different individuals. There was absolutely no continuity and differing information dependent on which individual you spoke to. After months and months of stress caused by Gilson Gray we were informed we were due to get the keys for our new home on 9/12/22. I sent all documentation required on 30/11/22 via email and recorded delivery. On 7/12/22 we were invoiced the total remainder of our deposit which we paid. Around 15 minutes later we were contacted saying they had not received documentation required and lender would not release funds for our mortgage for at least 5 working days meaning we could not collect our keys. This was completely unacceptable and caused us no end of stress as we had taken time off work to beable to collect our keys. Thankfully our independent mortgage worked to get everything in line to get our keys. On the 8/12/22 we were informed they required more paperwork, my partner had to leave work and rush home to sign off paperwork required to submit in time. We were then informed everything was completed and we could collect our keys the next day. On the 9/12/22 the day of our key collection we were then contacted and told we had to sign yet another form and had to do it or we wouldn’t receive our keys. We then went and signed the form and again were told that everything was in line. Around 15 minutes later we had a phone call stating Gilson Gray had invoiced us incorrectly and we owed a further £3000. This caused no end of stress and tears. I would definitely not recommend Gilson Gray to anyone, it was the worst experience we’ve ever had and really tainted the purchase of our first home.

We are currently at the top of a chain…

We are currently at the top of a chain of four and a sale was agreed back in aug/sept. All of the top three solicitors are on top of their game and it is Gilson Gray that are currently holding up everyone’s sale. A search was requested back in October 22 and apparently only just managed to sort Jan 23. No matter how many times the 2nd buyers’ solicitor sends answers with Gilson Gray’s requests they come back with the same questions. DO YOU NOT READ YOUR EMAILS GILSON GRAY. Totally incompetent, do not use

A shockingly bad service... I wouldn't even call them solicitors... I'd call this business a mess... if i could I'd give them minus 5 stars... nothing but trouble from the get go... ZERO communication esp from their paralegal ELLE M. I swear I'd get a hold of the pope before I'd get a hold of her!!!! She NEVER picks up, they keep asking for more and more paperwork every couple of wks... im now about to get the keys next wk and after chasing elle m for nearly 2wks, i had been sent paperwork today that wont be here till at least Monday, they want everything now within 5 working days so the paperwork can be done, and when i asked how is it i couldn't get a hold of her by email or phone (called her direct number and the office number where they kept transferring me to her and it kept going to vm) she was apparently on holiday... yeah right!!!! You go on holiday, dont leave an out of the office message on emails and nobody in the office knows you're on holiday... right... and im a snow white!!!! If my details werent passed to them by tge financial advisor and had i known any better, id find myself somebody else cos they are a joke and obviously dont give a damn cos they don't even answer bad reviews unless it's from landlords or potential long term tenants... figures...

Absolutely awful company. Never answer emails or return phone calls. Was supposed to complete next weekend now October but no fixed date yet. ! How is a first time buyer supposed to give notice to landlord to move out and arrange removals. Absolutely no care in the world ot give a good service.

Gilson Gray are amateur at best, chasing their tails and unbelievably unorganised. It does not surprise me that people have complained about them. Due to their incompetence, delays in moving dates occurred costing me thousand in extra charges. They just didn't care when I complained.
