Although we did not end up renting the apartment in the Barbican through Frank Harris (through no fault of their own), we would not hesitate to recommend their services if you are looking to rent in the area. Right from the beginning they were a pleasure to deal with and their local knowledge is unrivalled. The agent we dealt with - Mitchell Max, was beyond outstanding - he is real asset to Frank Harris and was head and shoulders the best of a multitude of agents from the very many agencies we have dealt with in our long search for the perfect London apartment. Mitchell has a genuine passion and enthusiasm for his craft generally and the Barbican specifically. Before we rented the property, we specifically checked with the agency if early termination would be allowed, because we knew that we might have to relocate to another country for work. The agent, Mitchell Max told us that we would be able to, subject to paying relevant fees, eg the cost of doing reference checks on a new tenant. We were reassured and signed the tenancy agreement. However, when our relocation was confirmed and we tried to terminate early, the agent now claims that we have to pay the entire rent for the full duration, which is almost 5000 pounds! We thought that this was a good agency and everything was going well with the rental, but now we feel extremely cheated. Beware!
