GoogleOur experience with Finders Keepers Central Oxford was great, primarily thanks to Amy Stanley, who showed us around the property. She was friendly and provided prompt updates, which included the news of our offer getting accepted. The way she helped navigate us through the paperwork was particularly commendable, making the whole process a lot smoother than expected. Overall, it was a very positive experience. I'd definitely recommend their services, especially if you get to work with Amy.

GoogleWhy 1 start just because I am renting house next to the this agency. They are sending people to clean the garden 7.00 am in the morning and they do so much noise. Come on 🤐🤐 at least you should give your neighbours a warning what time and what is going on. People might be sleeping after night shift and trying to earn money. Your agency don't care about that coz it's money...for yoy

GoogleHad the worst experience with them. After confirming that the landlord had accepted my offer, they provided me a contract to sign, checked my references, ran my credit, and arranged a moving company for me, all after I had paid the holding deposit. Despite confirming the move-in date, they called me a week and a half before the scheduled move just to inform me that the landlord had decided not to work with them anymore, citing disagreements between both parties. Consequently, I could no longer move into the place. They weren't even able to connect me with the landlord directly, so I could attempt to negotiate with them directly. This left me in a predicament as I no longer had a contract for my current place and had no other place to move into. I had a week to find another place, which is too short a period to find a place in Oxford. Wouldn't suggest them to anyone.

GoogleI recently attempted to rent a property through Finder Keepers, and it turned out to be a complete nightmare. Initially, things seemed fine, and I even provided notice to my current place(I don't have any place to go to now). However, out of the blue, after going through all the necessary checks, they informed me that the landlord no longer wanted to work with their agency and had reclaimed their keys. The frustrating part was that every time I called them, their story was different. They'd promise that the landlord would pick up the keys on Monday, then suddenly claim they didn't even have access to the keys. Frankly, it's hard to believe they made any sincere attempts to contact the landlord. I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from considering Finder Keepers for their property needs. If you want to avoid unnecessary hassle and stress, look elsewhere.

Moreover, their property manager, Sophie Moses, was swift in contacting the landlord and facilitating repair services. I was extremely impressed with the level of responsibility and professionalism the team demonstrated in this situation. GoogleThe staff are nice and friendly but they are incredibly slow at dealing with issues. I've had a maintenence request in for 6 weeks and I'm still waiting on it being fixed, despite being told multiple times it would be fixed "tomorrow".

GoogleOur oven was not working at the start of our tenancy as the bottom heating element was evidently damaged. Callum was very prompt in responding to this issue, getting us a new oven ordered within days of us reporting the problem. We are very grateful for Callum's speedy attention to our maintenance request.

GoogleI cant speak too highly of the top quality professional service and problem solving abilities that I've received from Ellie Madeley and her efficient team at Finders Keepers Shared Letting in Oxford. I own a smart five bedroom HMO, and was living overseas when I was advised by the previous managing agent that the lease was due to expire in two months. However after that they lost the plot, resulting in a period of great anxiety for me. A change of agent was sadly the only solution, and thankfully I was advised to move to Finders Keepers, who have been amazing. Once again I have every confidence that letting a property can be a great experience, as long as it's managed by true professionals, who care about the people they are dealing with, and meeting deadlines. GoogleIf you can avoid them, absolutely do. I was helping my fiance move, and on moving day they refused to hand the keys over. They said they wouldn't hand over the keys until a direct debit had been set up, which wouldn't be a problem, except they hadn't ever mentioned this before as a requirement before key collection. Wasn't in the contract, wasn't in any emails. They'd already done bank account checks, references and seen each income. All housemates had planned to set up a direct debit once they'd set up a house bank account to all pay into, so this on the spot demand required one person to sign authorisation for a direct debit and just trust the others to send money to them. It also meant that he couldn't move in that day, couldn't take his things there, couldn't sleep there. They were clearly trying to do a pressure tactic to squeeze for more money. On going back the next day and showing them that there was nothing in the contract, no email, he was told 'this is the way things are done' and when he kept saying that they had no right to prevent him from entering his home they said 'well this is how it is'. They are absolute bullies, avoid avoid avoid
Hi, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been told there was no mention of the requirement to have a direct debit completed as part of our application process. In actual fact, we ask that all applicants read our guide to renting before making an application (you can see this by heading to the Tenant section of our website and clicking ‘apply for a property’) which mentions the need to complete a direct debit form. The declaration section of the application form also requires the applicant to tick a box confirming that they understand they need to complete a direct debit form and they are then reminded of this requirement through the confirmation of submission email. You also say that your fiance felt there was a pressure tactic to squeeze for more money, but I would like to state that we did not ask for (or take) more money at any point. Unfortunately this review has also been left on the wrong office page so I would politely ask that you remove it from our Central Oxford team’s reviews as it does not relate to that office.
