GoogleI have recently had to rent for the first time and saw a house I was interested in advertised with Dowens. I rang and spoke to Dawn. From the minute I spoke with her she could not have been more helpful and any queries I had she liaised with the landlord and got back to me asap. I decided to take the property and attended the office to sign the relevant paperwork. I was apprehensive due to my circumstances however I didn't need to be as Dawn explained everything in great detail and really put me at ease having being in the same situation. She was professional, courteous and generally lovely to deal with and I could not recommend her enough. I'm hoping to have no problems with the property but have every faith they will be dealt with if I do.

GoogleI recently had to sell my late Father's house which was quite distressing for me. As soon as Dowen's came to visit they were so kind and efficient. Throughout the sales I was looked after by a lovely lady, Mandy. She was absolutely fantastic to deal with and kept me informed at every stage of the process. She was always bright, enthusiastic and made me feel nothing was too much trouble. These days it is so refreshing to find excellent customer service and Mandy provided this every step of the way. Many thanks Mandy for all your help and support throughout the last few months. Your company is very lucky to have you.

GoogleReally good estate agent, the staff were friendly and really helpful through out the selling process. They managed to sell my house quickly and got me a very good price for it. Their rates were a lot cheaper than other estate agents I would use them again and would recommend them.

GoogleIf I could rate zero.......As a buying prospect I have been very disappointed with Dowen Bishop Auckland. I have emailed and contacted through various methods to arrange a viewing of a house that they were advertising for sale......after 4 days and various messages to arrange a viewing I am still waiting for even a message to acknowledge me, a message advising they added me to their mailing list, a msg showing me their options that I may be interested in. I have since found out that Dowen are still advertising houses that other estate agents have sold weeks/months ago. I get the impression this company is not on the ball, they don't update a system that can be updated instantly, I am a proactive cash buyer who could have a million pounds to spend but this company has never even spoken to me. As a seller I would be horrified to think this company was not proactive in trying to sell my house.....needs a long hard look at it's company profile and ethos......very annoying and puts me off buying a home off dowen and/or ever selling with them.

GoogleExcellent service, definitely the best in Bishop Auckland. I would 100 % recommend and use again in the future. My house was only on the market with them for around 6 weeks, everything ran smoothly, and was kept well informed of everything happening along the way. Can’t fault them at all, great service and great staff.

GoogleDowen Estate Agents valued my home recently; I was pleased with the valuation and decided to waste no time and put it up for sale. The photos were put on Rightmove that same evening (approx 4pm), by 6.30pm the same day, I had a family knocking on my day. I had an offer of the asking price there and then. All throughout the selling process that followed the offer, Dowen Estate Agents were absolutely fantastic. Very efficient and professional service. Very competitive rates. Definitely would recommend them to all my family and friends in the future. Brilliant service, keep up the good work and thank you.
