From the request being sent to DM Hall from my estate agent, the response time to have the Home Report done and all communications were excellent. The surveyor who attended my property was very professional and completed the work and Report in a timely manner.

Communication between DMHall and our appointed estate agent was poor. Not value for money for the purpose of a reinstatement valuation when the property had been surveyed and valued a few months prior. Why would a re-visit be required??

The post below is of no surprise to me. We have been waiting for D M Hall to come back to re-measure our property to agree the gross floor area and to correct the wording of the EPC report. After having paid up front, they have no interest in customer service, nor coming back to re-measure. This has been going on since July 2024 and we are still without an officially validated home report or EPC and have handed over £950.00 for absolutely nothing in return and here we are in December ......... This is an absolutely disgusting way to be treated as a paying customer................................................Sara Arrowsmith2 reviewsGBRated 1 out of 5 stars22 Oct 2024Home Report wrong and DM Hall utterly ignoring my complaintDM Hall did a Scottish Home report survey for a property that I subsequently bought. The survey said there was 300mm loft insulation. There is actually zero insulation under the entire floored area. This was obvious without entering the loft. Also the impossibility of 300mm of insulation being properly installed within a height of 100mm floor joists, because you can't fit 30cm insulation into 10cm of space. I contacted them in February 2024 with a full letter outlining the problem and many photos evidencing it, and was assured of an investigation, which they have subsequently failed to do despite 8 months time and several reminders. They are in violation of their own complaints procedure due to ignoring my complaint. This affects the accuracy of the home report and funding for the home that I'm available for. This affects the energy efficiency of the home and makes it more expensive. I'm disgusted to receive no reply when I believe they are responsible for putting this right. Seems like an untrustworthy and irresponsible company to me.Date of experience: 26 February 2024
