It’s been a year I’ve been renting a flat from stonehouse for the least the staff has been courteous but not proactive one bit I’ve had 3 complaints since I moved in all just to improve the safety and care of the landlords property but after countless calls and emails they don’t seem to be to concerned about getting these issues sorted out in a timely manner it’s a constant run down with them it’s frustrating and I am fed up to have to call And send emails to a company that’s is supposed to be responsible for someone else’s property and the tenants concerns, considering come every month the rent is paid on time so there is no issue on my part to this day my concerns haven’t been rectified and I’m still waiting on a response ... sorry but won’t recommend using them to anyone i’m Just so truly disappointed

I rented a flat through stonehouse and it was the worst thing that ever happened to me , they are rude unprofessional and useless , whenever we ask for repairs it takes ages and when you call and dont send an email nobody repsonds and then they say they werent informed , i have to say Amanda was the worst of them all , very nasty and rude , when you leave they do their best to take all your deposit , we had to appeal through safe deposit scotland which was very fair and we got most of our deposit through them not through stonehouse , they also walk in without permission and then when you complain they apologise, !! No respect of privacy at all . Stay away from them to keep stress away. Even when we contacted them about a leakage in new years eve they doubted what we were saying and after arguing and explaining that the bed room is all wet because of the leakage they sent a plumber !! It took them ages to send someone to clean the carpet after the leakage and it had a bad smell because it was wet for 10 days , when we moved out they wanted to charge us for the paint damage that happened because of the major leak despite that we repainted all other rooms , charge ridiculous amount of money for cleaning even if you literally scrub it inch by inch , finally moved into another flat and the agency is so helpful so i really regret that we rented from stone house

I dealt with Stonehouse over the rental of a property in Aberdeen and I can't thank the team enough for the fast, efficient, friendly, helpful, understanding and professional service they provided. I've actually viewed, credit checked,, signed up and moved into the property I saw on their website in a shorter time frame than one of their competitors offered to just view a similar property. I’ve been a landlord for 9 years and have avoided using agents because I thought it was a waste of money. I was proved wrong when I used DJ Alexander Let Service to find a tenant. I was very satisfied with their professionalism and their communication was excellent. I was also given advice on what to upgrade to achieve a higher rent. I wish I could give zero to this rubbish. As soon as you pay and sign the contract they dissapear. If you have a problem or you need something to be fixed they do not do anything they just let you wait. On the phone they are RUDE RUDE RUDE (glasgow office), I can't believe that the region manager let this happen or he/she is so unskillful. I believe all the good ratings here are from them. Avoid at all costs, just AVOID.

I rented a flat in glasgow for a year from this company. The problems started when the oven broke we called the agency to get a repairer out he came out checked it breifly and told us that it would be getting replaced and it took over a month for replacement we had to go to our parents houses to cook dinner. We got no compensation or reduction in rent which was inconvenient and we felt robbed. We then told them that we were moving out a month early because we were having a baby and the flat was no longer suitable for access with a pram etc . At the start all was going well the agency accepted we were leaving early so we left the flat cleaned it and left it in the condition we received it. We handed in the keys a day earlier than requested so I was therefore enraged when I was getting charged +£100 for cleaning even though I took my time to even repaint the walls and doors and fill in holes made in walls and the insulting £18.90 in rent arrears for staying an extra day even though we had returned the keys early and we have proof of that. I've tried contacting them multiple times just to get told that they have trouble contacting the Glasgow branch which seriously makes me wonder on the company's communication, either that or they are incapable of taking a complaint seriously. I also had staff over the phone that don't know how to deal with complaints taking my anger at the company almost as if it was a personal insult instead of a problem I was needing resolved. I feel the call staff don't know how to properly deal with customers and I even got a cheeky "good bye love" off of one of the phone staff which is what pushed me to write this review. I wish we never chose to rent from this company and I would recommend you avoid at all costs as the staff are rude, incompetent and cannot communicate amongst there branches which nowadays seems ridiculous. AVOID.
